That's Jedi thinking if I ever saw it.

Don't talk about what you don't know! I am not, have not, nor ever will be a jedi. I just remember the days when I used to group up and hunting with people to get better. It is what I like as do yes I am happy. I have a grand total of 300k credits and live day to day. Just because you are mad about it, don't generalize and certainly don't point fingers at me. I like the old way and that is my perogative.

Oh and btw, I have never solo grouped nor have I ever run a Janta/Mohk mission or anything of the kind.

I like this fix also, it's about time they bring the MMO part back the this game. I think everyone that has played this game for a year appreciated the old school hunting groups. And I think everyone that hasn't been spoiled by this games short comings over the past few months is happy this change is coming about. I for one can't wait until people are joining groups to actually be in groups again. It will be a great day for everyone that remembers what this game can be like.

QFE

The people who are pissed have never tried actual hunting group, but mostpeopleseem more concerned about beating the game than actually playing it.

As for the economy: no one should even argue about it --it will be fine. Someone will get smacked and sent to Econ101 if I hear any more complaints about that.

I've been a doc for a long time. I'm sick of threads about buff prices because there's a new one every day and it's the same damn thing over and over. However, this time there is a very good reason for me to start one. In case you haven't heard, there's a patch on TC that basically ruins solo groups. If I get a 30k mission with 10 people in the group, then I'll only get 3k from the mission nomatter where everyone else is at.

The "he can go make 1 mil creds in a buff doing janta missions" argument is gone now. But then, the "I charge 200cpu for meat because I'd be able to make more in a solo group if I didn't" argument is also gone.

This isn't going to happen overnight, perhaps over a series of weeks or months but both the price of meat and the cost of buffing is going to have to come down. It's not just docs, everycrafter is going to have to take in to account that most people's income is cut by about 2/3.

On a side not, this concerns me personally for another reason. I like to use Janta buffs on my Jedi, but with no one doing janta missions anymore blood will become much rarer.

That make no sense at all. And yes Solo groups are dead....as far as money makers. I don't know about your guild, but I know in mine if I have 32k or 3k off a mission...that money is mine, and I'm not giving it to someone else just because they are greedy. I have bills to pay to.

But people will still do Janta missions for the XP....so until that gets nerfed I wouldn't worry about the Blood for a while

But if 10 of us solo group and all go do Janta missions at 30k per mission and I get 3k from mine, would I still get 3k from the other 9? If so that then this doesn't effect anything. If I don't then solo grouping would take a hit and real grouping could be back! Happy happy joy joy!

No dude. This WILL end solo groups. The question is if enough people will be patent for the economy to get back in sync or will just hit the cancel button.

The bigger doc issue is that withteh upcoming armor/food/buff nerfs we will be back in demand (like it or not) in order for anyone to be abel to do anything. So a good discussion would be how we should be compensated for this. Do you just take the split? Do you ask for any CAs or AAs? How many docs to cover how big a group? What should be in your back pack?

WE are going back to grouping and dieing in a very big way, we should get ready.

The whole point of SOLO Groups was to do max missions for max rewards XP and Credit Wise. If you have to run around with 10 people....and do 10 missions....yes you get 30k. However you didn't make 30k in 3.5 minutes. You made 30k in maybe an hour if your lucky.

And you all have to be togather....if your all by yourself you only get 3k. And your group gets nothing. So it depends how you look at it as far as getting your money's worth. But this did destroy solo groups.

10 people + 1 Janta mission = speedbump.

When my guild did avian and herbivore meat gathering missions it was the exact same thing. Travel was the big time consummer and nothing else. It will be the exact same with this.

There are still plenty of 15-20k solo missions you can run out of Improved job market types. If you're Imperial you can duo with someone who owns an AT-ST (yay finally some props to imps) and if not then make friends with a CH to get 32k missions. Regular faction missions net me about 10k each. It will take me 3x as long to make 1million but oh well.

Oh there's no denying that inflation and prices will drop after this but that wont affect anything. That 10million Krayt T21 will now cost 1million and so on... They can try and keep the prices the same but it wont fly. Supply and demand.

Personally, I'm glad they "fixed" this. I missed the Old School hunting days, where groups were prevailent, and actual teamwork had to be used. I live day-to-day as it is on this game, and only have 200k to my name, which is fine with me. I know there areother ways to get paid out there, and true "hustlas" will find a way to bring the duckets home. Gather resources, pick up a crafting prof...the sky is the limit with this game, and if you don't succeed at the money game in SWG, then it's your fault.

We'll have to see how this plays out, but if income from running missions goes down, you may see more people go to alternative forms of making money, like meat/hide harvesting. This could benefit doctors a bit helping to offset any lower buff prices.
