I am currently a master doctor on the eclipse server, and like a lot of us I buy my buff packs, I started buffing people for 10k thinking I was going to make a healthy profit, I quickly found out that this is not the case. I buffed 1 full day and make 1million credits I then had to buy more buffs, bivoli and brandy and ended up spending 900k on all of that. What I am asking you guys to do is jack your buff prices up to about 40-50k lets stand up and make a profit out of our unforgiving job we have! 40 or even 50k isnt bad at all to pay for buffs, especially when you can goto player cities now and take 30k missions..... they can make 50k in less than 10 minutes easy for 3 hours of constant healing essentially by us. I started charging 40k today and got flamed like I knew I would, but I also made 200k in less than 15 minutes. To charge the regular 10k per buff it would take me 40 minutes of non stop constant buffing to make that... there is great profit for this and remember folks THEY NEED US we do not need them! I am asking all of you to stand up! I know a lot of you are tired of buffing for free because I am, and as I shouted my 40k buff macro I got flamed by those that are too cheap to dish out the cash and also from many doctors praising me for doing what so many of them wanted to do, and stand up for themselves. If we all start charging 50k for our buffs people will HAVE to pay that for buffs as I said before they need us...... we are essentially healing them for 3 and a half hours straight I think that is the least they can do. And people will say "what about noobs that dont have 50k" and my reply is simply this, sure they dont but there isnt any doc out there that wouldnt be able to give you a free buff because you are a broke noob, and maybe low lvl docs can start buffing for xp in the noob cities IE coronet theed etc, you get what you pay for in this world folks and I dont think 50k is too much to ask, I am also a master swordsman, and after I get buffed I go run missions for aboot an hour and make a million credits easy (granted not everyone does but it can happen) and you guys are tryin to tell me that 50k is going to empty your pockets when you can easily make 3 mil in the time we provide you buffs? Dream on
now with that said I beg you guys do not flame me for this post, constructive criticism is encouraged I mainly want reactions from doctors out there, and doctors on other servers if you see this please post your average priced buff on your server.

hello fellow eclipsician
well when i frist got master doc , i was excited and figured 10k each person was ALOT . when i was a newb lol.
so i got excited, started buffing, make 10k each person, but was BORING and i figured it took forever to make alot of money.
so now, i just craft buffs and buff myself and other friends, i find there is no need for buffing others , unless they really need it lol.
so if anything when i buff, i charge 40k
i did get a few people, but some did flame. But what do i care? i dont need them, many others who are willing to pay 40k, especially when you're the only doc in town
well my buff packs i sell are only 15k per pack, which is really cheap compared to other docs, they are a little less quality, but get the job done.
hope this helps, btw keep charging 40k when you're only doc, and ask other docs to do the same
but ocasionally, help a newb player, and let them get a free buff or cheaper.
i like to do that, newbs cant just start with 40k ! they need some help. hehe

I agree and i'd be more than happy to give away a buff to a noob, also I was the only doc chargin 40k, then docs swooped in sayin "hey look at me I only charge 10k" I sent them tells and got 1 of the doc to leave and the other doc to charge 35k for buffs, but when they didnt get a line right away they quickly lowered the price again but like I said I made 200k in 10 minutes they're probably still buffing and just now at the 200k mark

lol so that's the best place i like to go and buff, theed and coro and dant always have tones of docs buffing for 10k :/ and are stubborn, i have to admit hehe.

lol welcome to the Eclipse Doctor's Union.
I have a letter in my mailbox I forward to ANY doc I see buffing for 10k. It explains to them how they are wasting their time. Say you make 1-2k profit per buff (NOT factoring in Bivoli, Brandy, Clothing, Droids, Batteries, Ect.) And you buff for 1 hour at roughly 2 minutes a person , that's 60k profit MAX. WOW!Now you've made a whole 60k in an hour! Go celebrate, wait. . . . You need more bivoli, there goes 150k. Oh, more brandy? 200k. Don't forget the clothing and droid you paid for, 100k. Now you're 390k In the hole. You'll have to buff for 6 1/2 Hours to break even. By that time, you have to buy more buff packs and the whole thing starts over. Granted you don't have to buy bivoli/brandy/droids/clothing EVER round you buff, but it easily adds up.
Some argue saying well my buffs are only 2500, so they're crappier than others so I must charge 10k. STOP LYING TO YOURSELVES. Your time alone is worth 20k minimum, let alone your profit margin. You're providing a service to the community and if they're too cheap for 20-40k for a buff, than they don't need your services.
Another argument is well how about the newbies that need buffed. Last time I checked, a newbie doesn't need to be fighting Janta's, quenkers, rancors ect. if they're NEW. They need to be in corellia without buffs fighting butterflies because they're at the newb level.
I have no problem at all with people handing out free buffs for newbies, but maybe they should get their priorities straight.
And thanks for the dathomir comment. I never thought about that. It's hard getting business at the Mining Outpost when you have a 10k doctor sitting next to you. I just want to throw my AV-21 on top of them. . . .
The public is spoiled with cheap buffs.

Aaaaaaaaaa!!! The pain, the horror! What if a newby wants to get buffed to do some easy poi's, liek some of the ones on Corellia or Talus? Those are good xp for a newb without armor and not many skill boxes.... Plus, have you ever tried to fight a 800 ham thug without an armor or buff or good weapon? Or four at once? Lol, it might sound silly, but it's hard if you'r a newb. You need to kill about 10 thugs, wait 3 minutes, kill 10 thugs, wait 3 minutes. zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz Much easier and cost effective to do 13 800 credit missions and buy a buff for 10-12k. That's 3 hours of unstopped thug killing, which can make you about 20-40k xp plus loot. But you need to be buffed to do it. And you need to do the missions to earn money to do the missions. And if you accidently waste your rental newb speeder. Lol, it's really hard. And if you want to charge 40k for a buff... Lol, it would take forever for anyone unable to kill jantas or the like to make the money fast. Of course, luckily so far the only docs I've seen buffing for 40k are those who let people skip the line.

When I decided to go doc, i thought they would make a ton of money, but when I looked at the forums and talked to people I quickly found out that this was not true.
As you say, when you are buffed, it is really easy to earn a mill or two, so 40k for a buff is not that much really.
Lets all forward a mail to all the docs buffing for 10k. People need us, if we all buff for 40k then they will still pay, hell, even if we charged 100k per buff, they would come.
Let the 1 starring poor non docs come!

Buff prices should go up at least to 15k... It's been 10k on eclipse since I first started playing.. On Bria, my first server, buff prices are at least 15k a set..
There shouldn't be a problem with this, I pay 600cpu for avian meat!!!
If people understood that buffing isn't as profitable as it seems, then they wouldn't complain.

If master buffs are increased, then maybe the non-masters can make lesser buffs and use them on newbs for cheaper. This will allow the aspiring doctor to gain experience and money while playing the game instead of healing a tumbler for 2 days straight. It will also help the newbs who cannot afford buffs.
I vote to raise the prices to at least 20k. I will defer to the players with more time and experience to set the price, but as a member of the Eclipse Buffers Union, I will follow whatever is decided.

Dunno what the deal is on Ahazi. I can buff for 8k (and I used to, a lot) and still make ample profit. Alothough, our Avian meat spawn just went down, so the only people to buy from are the big wigs who overcharge. I charge 10k, I buy 5 sets of 33 uses on each stat, so, for each set I can make 330,000 credits. I can buy a 5 set from a big wig for 450,000. I usually buy from a VERY rich doctor who sells great 5 sets for 250,000. I'm not sure what the normal market for buying buffs on Eclipse is, but it must be pretty bad.

Also, recently, since my alt is grinding ArmorSmith, and Buffing during JTL is not a smart way to earn income, I used my Docs TKA skills (1-4-4-3) to go out and hunt some Jantas and Mokks, I earned 500k in about an hour and a half, plus I got a blue crystal. I reccommend not depending solely on the income from buffs, find another profession to make money, buffing is a pain anyway.
