Thread: Advanced Components Are they worth making?

Went to Dantooine and Talus and gathered some Berries and Water Vapor. Went home, and made a couple of Advanced Liquid Suspensions. I experimented on them for Effectiveness. I then used these Advanced Liquid Suspensions to whip up a few Stim C's (also experimented on). I went out to the field with some friends, and noticed NO difference between a Stim C using the normal Liquid Suspension and the Advanced Liquid Suspension.

Anyone have an idea just WHAT the difference is between using an Advanced Component and the Regualar Component?

To me, the time involved in getting the Berries/Water Vapor were not worth it.

I actually setup harvesters on Lok to get Lokian Wild Wheat to make Advanced Bio Controllers. I made a few C stims that had 38 charges, but when I tried to do the same with D stims I got the normal amount of charges (and those take TWO factory produced Adv Bio Controllers).

Considering the danger involved (ever been to Lok?), I would say not worth it. I try to use high quality normal ingredients and experiment as much as I can.

Now I'm just trying to collect Avian meat and Reactive gas for health enhance packs.

Advanced components are real nice if you get quality resources and experiment them...

BUT...

Currently component quality is ignored on anything that asks for factory identical items. So bio controllers on D+ stims, liquid suspensions on resuscitation packs, etc you might as well use the cheapest kind. Hopefully this bug will be fixed soon.

I completely disagree, the advance componants are worth it. Now I can't make D's just yet but my woundpacks can heal wounds for about 300-400 which gernerates me about 1k of medical exp. I can completely heal both bars with Stim C's in the field..

Take a look at the difference in effectiveness between using advance and not its pretty big..

I use all the andvanced components for Stims and wounds and I think they are well worth it if you can get the items for a decent price. I get a 100% quality improvement and 50% charge improvement. I also have a supplier for these items and that makes it easy for me.

I'd be able to test this for myself if they'd ever spawn Liquid Petroleum Class 4 on my server (Intrepid). Dolovite Iron FINALLY appeared a few days ago. And that's even without a resource shuffle. Just saw one in the bazaar one day and contacted the seller. Of course it was on Dathomir and nearly got myself killed like 3 times.

I have been using advanced components. Atleast one or 2, if not all 3 in the combines for the final Stim or Wound pack. I experiment with everything and make sure I use high quality organics/inorganics in the final combine also.

My B's have been coming out 250 to 290ish (always experiment for effectiveness over quanity)

My C's have avg 350 and have had as high as 390 with 27/30 quanity.

I am waiting for my factory to start on D's, and have collected by hand the components ness to produce 100 Advance Bio Controllers, so I will post again my results when I get done.

~yes, alot of work for 50 D packs~

I have found no difference using advanced parts in stim pack Cs or wound kit Bs. I also have not found any difference in expertimenting with components vs basic ones. I have spent hours experimenting with components and placing them in kits. It seems the kits are only interested in the ingredients quality and don't take into account the component quality.

As was said above.. Factory components are bugged.

Also remember, advanced component materials are normal materials.

Sometimes the specific material is worse than the best generic material you can get.

When many med use "organic" you can hunt up soething with a lot of 900 stats.. but you are stuck with whatever stats lokian wild weat has at the moment. This is true of all crafting professions (you shoudl have seen tthe crying when plumbum iron spawned in beta on Bria (needed for a lot of advanced guns).. it was horrible.. with important stats in te 70's.

Advanced components do have higher default and higher max numbers for their crafting stats (power /charges/durability), but they still rely on the quality of the material and experimentation.

Overall, they are meant to be rare, not everyday use... so don't be surprised that some off the materials don't exist at any particular time, or that the material is garbage.

When youd do get a med with 2 or 3 advanced components in it, and made for great materials, it will be much better than the regular item of that type (but it is stull usualyl less than the next letter up (advanced D is not as good as regular E).

With the factories and crafting bugs. The C level Items actualyl make olut te best ATM... even after they fix factory parts, C's may still be the most useful for te majority of medical players to use advanced components in.

Did some more testing and as mentioned above they do have a higher base for the compent but also a higher point value per percentage..

I'll use Liquid Suspsension for an example.. at about 70% effectiveness with pretty decent quality normal components I get a 60-70 effective rating.. However with the advance model at the same percentage I get about 150-160 effective rating...

On C's at least, it is most definately worth getting the components for at least the advanced liquid suspension. I've managed to swing past a 401 rating on a stim c, while I havent tried a c with regular components I can safely say that there is no way in hell you're going to get that.

I think they're totally worth it. You can work around the current bug. For D stims or anything that wants factory pairs use regularcomponents there and use advanced elsewhere..

Well, I just made a Stimpack B with 301 Heal Health/Action Damage. You can tell me if that's worth it or not. I don't even have my experimentation maxed out - just have Intermediate Doctor's Medicine Crafting. I could have gotten it a little higher with more experimentation.
