Thread: Med exp now 30:1 conversion for FS exp.

I added this (along with the combat xp jump tp 30-1 as well) in the know bugs page on FS, Jedi, Doc and CM yesterday morning. I've not added it to Medic.


This was seen and bugged in TC and left to go live yet not part of the patch notes. It is assumed it's a bug... however... med xp honestly should now trade at 30-1 to be compareable to the weapon xp trades. Med xp comes faster then weapon xp now and the caps are all now compareable. No reason it shouldnt now be 30-1 like every weapon in the game.


Now Combat xp going 30-1 is assine in my opinion. The only grenades makes combat xp "fast" and the caps are all low.


Of course this could be a silent nerf to slow down Jedi production... but then again it no longer effects me.



Should I be sneaky enough, wise enough, lucky enough... or honestly just dumb enough, to win an auction.

Let's be honest here. You only get med xp like weapon xp when your in groups that are constantly in danger. Most pickup groups are for "sure thing" missions. What's worse is now that you have to be grouped to get xp you can no long roam around helping those around you to get xp. It really does needto be set back to it's normal ratio because it just again makes force sensitive a combat only thing to do.

Its a great idea! I say make it even less, there are far to many jedi ingame as it is. It should be hard to get jedi and even harder to keep. They leech off of other profs to gain XP to unlock jedi...bah.

if they dochange ratio they should make medical exp go to combat prowess or whatever. lets face it. to get med exp u have to be in combat. its not like it used to be where u got med exp for healing wounds. oh no can't get medical exp for healing someone's wounds. "HEALING" "Wounds"

Why does it hurt us? We have a 1.2 milcap just like everyone else. It was only 10:1 before because the cap was 80k. Should be thankful they didn't raise everything higher then they did. Not only that, but this change was in Patch 21 notes. Stop crying, it's not a bug. *Edit* Medical XP is also classified as a type of Combat XP for those that don't know.


Force Sensitive Village
• Force Sensitive Quests: The initial Sith Shadow waypoint datapad will now always be useable as soon as it has been looted. It will no longer display a "You must first loot that object" message.
• The Sith Shadow waypoint datapads are no longer usable in space.
• Altered conversion rate of Combat XP at Force Sensitive village.

Personally I think it should have been raised, just maybe not as much. Also if medic xp is now classified as a combat type of xp we should be able to trade it in for combat prowess or reflexes.


Combat XP on the other hand should not have been raised unless they plan on increasing the rate that we accumilate it.

It makes it tough for the FS grind, but it's simply one more step in slowing down the mass exodus from CL 1 to glowy at CL 21 to Padawan in 18 weeks that seems to be happening now.


Unfortunately those of us who are grinding jedi casually, (I've been at it a year), it slows us down even further, however it's still not as bad as trying to unlock a crafting tree! I have a general crafting cap of 50K and it's a very, very slow grind... lol.


Thank goodness for my Master Ranger who converts scout XP from 1.2 mil with an 8:1 ratio! Heightened senses rule!


Oh, and someone should really argue with the Chicken...he likes that.

med xp should be 30:1. you get the same amount of weapons xp if all you do is heal, same with weapons, if all you do is attack. the cap is the same as weapons, so the conversion should be the same

YES they should DEFINITLY make it so I can trade my med exp for reflexes and combat. That's an EXCELLENT point.

With weapons XP you also get combat XP. Medical professions do not get combat XP in addition to the medic XP, hence the conversion is NOT the same.

the fact you dont get 2 kinds of xp doesnt really matter much. combat xp conversion doesnt matter much. getting jedi isnt supposed to be the easiest thing anyways. i do agree that you should now be able to trade it in for reflex/combat xp

well, look at med xp


you obtain med xp through combat, you get it as fast as weapons xp, and it has the same cap as weapons xp, so why shouldnt it be 30:1? whether it has another corresponding xp doesnt matter, it is so similar to weapons xp
