Thread: New idea for a skill to combat CM poison skills
Doctors currently can cure poisons and disease. Why not a vaccine that can increase a players resistance to them.
The CM board is loaded with people screaming to nerf the poison and disease skills. I hate to see any class get nerfed.
A Doctor skill of innoculate against poison and disease would help balance the classes and hopefully avoid a nerf.
I have been playing games of this type since UO started. If the nerf bat starts swinging we are all going to take it in the shorts, sooner or later.
nah i think upping the power to cure packs would more than balance out dots right now...
its just underpowered
Exactly like the enhance buffs that we have. It keeps us in our roll as buffers, and is one way to combat CM poison and disease skills without having to nerf them.
S.O.E. PUT THE NERF BAT DOWN! Step back slowly away from it, and make no furtive movements.
hence why master doctors should get a AOE cure pack at master level...
passive resistances would be over powering...
need something more in the form of an active counter...
I wouldn't mind having an Area Effect Poison/Disease Cure. But I also like the resist buff idea as well.
Doubt we'll see anything for a while anyway ![]()
I would object to anything none active as a counter to dots...
i think active counters are fine....but passive ones are just too overpowering...
i dont mind that the doctor had to spend his action healing poison this round...but i do mind that fact that the doctor spent 5 mins resist buffing the grp and now they are totally or pretty close to immune to dots...
lol pho me not liking nerfs?
lol go to the CM boards and see if I dont like nerfs....lol
The most important thing needed is an immunity timer on a cure or a state heal, at least 60 seconds.
I just think that an AOE anything in the doctor line opens up a big can of worms. Why not AOE heal states as well? WHy not AOE stims? Seriously, how is it consistent to give doctors the non-ranged stims, doctors non-ranged cures, doctors AOE cures, and CMs AOE stims? I think that you really need a solution to this problem that doesn't involve giving doctors anything ranged or AOE.
