I guess anyone who wants Jedi bad will have to get another profession, or just work really really hard!

I know the path to becoming a jedi should not be easy. Heck I am the first one to say it should not be overnight. But with a conversion rate of 10 medical xp--->1 FS sense xp point, that only grabs us 8k FS xp per each time we cap our medical xp as master doctors. As 1.2 million FS xp is needed for a complete branch, with only using medical xp as a main source, it would take 12 million medical xp to train just one branch in the heightened senses tree of the FS skills. Something needs to be done about this. Either raise the cap from 80k to something like 800k (still only 80k FS xp mind you) or the conversion rate should be lowered to say 5---->1. Again, this isn't because I think jedi should be easy to get, but rather because 12 million medical xp with only a 80k cap is more than excessive to most everyone you speak with. Also, if Agent001 or the combat medic/medic correspondents could forward this to the appropriate dev for suggestion/concerns, it would be appreciated

If it's capped at 80k, doesn't that just mean more trips to the conversion guy? You're not actually crippled, you just have to make more trips.

It makes things ridiculously tedious. After buffing 12 people, I'm capped on xp. So, to be effecient, I would have to ride back to the village, convert, run back to my buff spot, buff 12 people, and repeat. I would call it crippling: this impairs the function of a doc. It's hard enough to close a buff line, try "brb in about 20 min. No one go anywhere."

80k cap is unacceptable.

Its justt you, we JUST had this argument. The result was this. Play the game, go up in whatever xp you want to convert. If your a jedi grinder anyways and a master dr. all you have to do is buy a non ch pet, pull it out, buff the hell out of it, put it away and repeat until you cap. YOU NEVER EVEN HAVE TO LEAVE THE VILLAGE TILL U GET UR TREE DONE.

nothing tedius about it, if ur a quick grinder ur gonna go the quickest way anyways. No one cares, if all you are is a master dr and your going for jedi, u gotta be kidding me. you MUST have some other prof to be capping in.

get over it, we already have one of the better conversion rates, u know what would happen if they raised the cap? THEY WOULD LOWER THE CONVERSION RATE AND SCREW YOU OVER ANYWYAS. stop whining. get over it.

I have to agree with Zero on this one. The new quest system to become Jedi is supposed to help the players play the game in order to become Jedi. It shouldn't be the only goal. If it is, there are plenty of shortcuts you can do to do it as fast as you can--that aren't necessarily "playing that game."

THere might be a person or two around the village needing a buff. I'm just guessing but from the topics going arouns it appears that everyone and their durni will be at the village anyway. How about you offer buffs in a camp outside the village? I know a buddy of mine died three times near the village yesterday.

This will be the new hotspot for buff lines.

I'm just curious. If you buff a pet multiple times do you get xp after the intial buff? If you buff a regular person a second time and the power of the buff doesn't exceed the first one you don't get any additional xp so I don't thinkcontinuous rebuffs are going to be exploitable by anyone.

Zero no one is whining...yes I want to make jedi, but that doesn't mean I am a jedi grinder. And for your information Zero(since you seem to be lacking) to gain senses xp (the tree medical xp converts to) you are not able to use any combat xp to convert to this type. The only other types of xp that converts to senses is scout, entertainer, merchant and that sort. Secondly, I never said I wanted to make learning my skill branch easy/fast, so buffing a pet isn't the solution. What is the solution is raising our xp cap to something more reasonable (which btw would do nothing to the xp rate)

And just a side note, you say just play the game to master the tree. You let me know when you hit 12 million medical xp (with a cap at 80k mind you) just by casually playing the game and making a few trips to the village

Ehh... I was under the impression that they fixed it so you no longer get xp for buffing a pet. I will have to test that later today. Or can anybody confirm this?

And yes, the cap together with the conversion ratio is not reasonable. Every profession should basically have the same cap - meaning that to get X amount of Force XP, each profession should reach the cap exactly the same number of times.

Good points, and no, since im not force sensitive yet i did NOT know that there were limitations to the type of xp that can be converted to each branch.

But as for me, for the harder branches to grind, i plan on sitting in one spot (preferrably aurillia) and grinding it out, otherwise i plan on playing the game as normal. I'm not worried about the caps, specially coz it takes less that 20 people to cap out 80k.

As for no xp for pets, last time i checked you could still BUFF your pet, u just cant HEAL your pet for xp.

Nice points aside. u do understand that if they raise the cap on the xp, they WILL change the conversion rates accordingly and you will wind up screwing yourself in the end. The devs NEVER give anything without equaling it out. arent you paying attention to them when they say 'BALANCE'.....

its fine. leave it alone.

It's not fine. But I see your point about the sadistic devs.
