I've not been a doc long about four month's, but latey i noticed a trend. I don't buff the public and only did if requested. I would get a few request each time i played and some days none. In the last week i can not log on without request, and any starport i get swapped with tells about no doc's or a line of 30 or more. The question is are doc's leaving or just hiding the title. Way the increase on my server for doc's. I get swarmed, when i never had a problem before. just wondering.

I think those of us who like being Doctors, don't necessarily like buffing for a living. I don't want to buff every yahoo that comes along, so I tend to wear other titles as often as possible. I'd actually prefer to have no title at all, but that setting doesn't save between sessions, so I just wear other nondescript titles instead.

We're not hiding, we're just tired of being underappreciated. Without doc's you people would be useless and you dont realize it, I remember back in the day when only docs could buff themselves, for a while buffing was a huge business, the problem is a few things, one rangers ripping off doctors on prices for avian, doctors tired of listening to all your little bull**edit** when your in line exmp... "did you get my money?" "am i in line?" "how many people are in front of me?" "when am i up?" etc etc etc... I find it funny when some docs charge 20k and the people think theyre getting ripped off. With buffs you can easily make that up in 1 mission on dantooine. My two cents is that I buff because I have to make money, but I'd do it more if I wasn't spit on by all pure combat players who look at doctors and laugh because were not pure combat. We earn money differently etc... I'm not hiding im just tired of this bull**edit**! Im out

Hiding. Most people have no manners, and treat doctors like servants. They've become spoiled on buffs.

Personally, I'm hiding.
My doc is part of my personal support team. He's a doc/musician/merchant. He makes me money and keeps me healthy.
Occasionally I'll buff a guildmate, but that's about it.

I have just been a Doc for 1 week and so far people seem very appreciative when getting buffed. Also try and remember what it was like when you were not a Doc. People just want to make sure that they are not losing their money. Lines for buffs have gotten so long that people just get impatient and we can't control that. I am enjoying being a Doc atm. Also, was it rangers charging too much or Docs saying they would pay that much that started the rise in avian meat? I remeber when buffs were 8k. lol. I am not saying that they are not worth what ever you want to charge, I am just saying that Docs keep everyone alive and they tend to forget that,We just have to remind them.

I'm currently doing solo mission on dantooine to get cash and get loot items and crystals. I've gotten about 3 million credits in the last 3 days along with 8 crystals. Having a lot of fun before the change to the combat system when we may not be able to solo janta/mokk mission any longer.
BTW, buying all high quality avian/herbivore meat. Please contact me by in-game mail. Thanks!

I've been a doctor for months now in one form or another. I gotta say there is nothing about buffing people for money that interests me. With the time and effort involved for me to gather the organice resources to keep my buff supply stocked, and at the high levels of quality I like. I really do like healing people, and healing wounds though. I'll walk thru cities for hours just looking for the sick and injured.

i'm a master doctor/swordsman,and i don't buff the public. i recently made my first million, running missions and hunting for chefs as a novice scout, and i don't really feel like earning cred by buffing 'yahoos' as theplayer above put it so aptly. if i run across a bounty hunter or jedi unbuffed (depending on faction) i may help them out.also, i'll buff my guild for a group hunt or event, but never sitand buff anyone and everyone again. i do carry halva, bivoli, and a set of buffs incase irun across a bh that is camping ajedi.i'm sure i can takea vercupti, halva, biv, and brandy and buff a rebeljedi. i agree with all the other docs.. we are just tired of a$$hats demanding that we buff them. demanding. geez oh petes.. i'll never put master doctor title on unless i just want to piss people off who are on my /addignore /denyservice lists.cynical? maybe.. do i care? not really.

I'm Hideing Whitch seems to be on a trend now. i used to buff everyone ALL THE TIME.
Now? well i've settled down and i'm Fed up on Rangers and Costermers.
I can Live off myself without people. Why buff the spoil sports? bah!
I'm glad this is happening really. More people relize they need you and i'll come out of the dark after Rangers get knocked some Sence into them.

I wear a Novice Medic tag. When I'm waiting for a shuttle, I pull out my droid and heal wounds on as many people as I can. I call it drive-by healings.

I'm a newb to the whole game.. and my first profession i'm trying to become is doctor.. I can't wait. I still have no clue on a lot of things.. like the Use count (Ex: 90 use count) and how to get a surgial driod.. or one of those huge human like robot droids... but hey i'm loving every minute of learning a new game.. and healing people can be fun.... currently i'm a 4/1/1/1 novice doctor.. and i wont hide the tag.. and after reading these boards and all the doc guides, my buff's are gonna start at 15k... *shrugs*
