i mastered doc to buff myself. i gave buffing the public a shot in theed, but some peeps are asses. now i only buff my guild and myself and once in a while others out in the middle of nowhere. i thought i could make money buffing peeps but its not worth it to me now. one guildy said he made 600k on my buff (no charge) by the way then i sad to myself **edit** i could make that kind of money too. and jantas dont complain or send stupid tells. so to answer your question yes i hide.

I really do not understand why people buff for so little. If I can make 700k on Dantooine from one buff, I don't think I'd mind paying like 50k or even 100k for a buff. Buffs are more necessary for combat players than weapons or armor, and if it's not profitable enough for doctors, they should charge more. Although, I suppose if they did they'd take a lot of abuse for it.

Whitch is why we are hideing partly

I'm really not sure of the main reason but I can tell you Lowca has a problem with resources availability and "public" doctors are becoming extinct. Players aretaking updoctor to either buff their Jedi or themselves, when wearing "Master Doctor" in public I have been asked more times inthis pastweek than I have in the past year of where to buy buffpacks and I often answer that I didn't know. My packs aren't experimented down to medicine use 90 and therefor most that ask me can't use them when I offer them some.

I therefor got tons of business the moment I showed up in Dantooine mining outpost the other day, and I even accidentally wore "Novice Doctor".

I would have to say I hide my title a lot. Though now I have found a place that I can buy many buff packs from to I usualy buff anyone that askes....you make more friends that way. Though I would have to say after being doc for a week I didn't buff the public again for about 2 months. Now I buff regularly only by request though.

I've been a Doc since last summer. I've never dropped it, although I've combined it with a few combat profs, currently sword. I've done my spell as a public buffer last fall and just hated it. I don't find many people are impolite, but it is a draining, unappreciated profession, that's agreed. I haven't buffed a stranger in ages, and believe me, it's a great feeling of freedom, although I did make a pile of money doing it.

My guildies and friends are the only people that I'll buff these days, and very few of my old customers send me /tells anymore. Most are kind of surprised I'm still a Doc, as it's been almost a year now. I haven't put up my tag in months.

i run two accounts, one Swordsman/CH and the new account i'm still working on will be TKM and Doc. i'm only novice doc atm. but once master i will be using it for personal buffing and buffing friends and guildies only. the only think i dont like about the doc at the SP is the wait time, i pay up2 30k for a buff.

The prices docs are chargering are fine (8-30k) its just when a queue of 30+ ppl in the line. I understand that the life of a doc is a long and hard one which i why i hardly ever use the doc in the SP's. the guild i'm in has at present 2 master docs and another 2 in training. i say stop buffing in the starports see how they like it then.

Sorry if this sounds if i'm having a go at you docs, i'm not its all the idoits that shout at you. if you stop buffing them altogether they might, thats a MIGHT come round.

I have just been a Doc for 1 week and so far people seem very appreciative when getting buffed. Also try and remember what it was like when you were not a Doc. People just want to make sure that they are not losing their money. Lines for buffs have gotten so long that people just get impatient and we can't control that. I am enjoying being a Doc atm. Also, was it rangers charging too much or Docs saying they would pay that much that started the rise in avian meat? I remeber when buffs were 8k. lol. I am not saying that they are not worth what ever you want to charge, I am just saying that Docs keep everyone alive and they tend to forget that,We just have to remind them.

On Eclipse we have a spawn of some pretty decent Herbi meat right now (not the best, but still second best I have seen yet), The first day it spawned there were Hunting contracts put up in the trading forum starting as low as 25 cpu.Within an hour, more Contracts were offered upping the offer to 40 cpu, then 60, then 70, and kept on going till it reached 90 cpu last I even checked (Im sure its even higher now).I wont blame the rangers/hunters for asking for a lot on this stuff.. I blame the few greedy people who kept upping thier offer to "out price" the others so THEY made sure thier offer was the one the hunters took. Now the hunters see what a few people will pay and think that is the fair price they should sell thier meat for.

I never managed to get people to get meat for me for less than 100 cpu (for avian meat, 35 for herbivore).

The other problem on Sunrunner is that all the buff packs suppliers either just retired or just can't keep up with demand.

Songe! Thanks for all the resources you submit for sunrunner on swgcraft

I'm actually dropping some skills in order to pick up swordsman so I can gather my own herb/avian. It'll be more fun too.

Of the 3 servers I play regularly on, Sunrunner actually has the most docs... There are always two or three in Coronet. On Lowca, t's usually just one with a long line.

I've been a Master Doctor since last August, and have not had my master title on since December. I got sick and tired of the constant hassle for buffs. Now, I leave my Field Surgeon title on, so that those who desperately need disease or poison heals and such can find me, but the buff-crazy leave me alone.

I want to be a Doctor, not a buffbot.

I'm usually hiding. I've only been a doc for a few weeks, but I understand how crazy it can be. That said most of the people that I run into on Starsider are very thankful for my buffs(maybe because I only charge 8k...mine are 2056, everyone else seems to average 2300) and don't harass me.

Starsider people rock. =)
