Thread: Doctors need to unite!

I bacame a MD because I like to idea of being a valuable commodity. What we are capable of doing is something EVERYONE wants and needs. You have some of the more wealthier doctors raising the prices of resources making it harder on the majority of MD's. You have some of the more self reliant doctors keeping prices of buffs low, again making things harder on the majority of doctors. I have been trying to get skill tapes and a crafting apron trying to become a 11 pt MD. How can I with such an unstable economy?

I constantly hear doctors battling each other over prices for buffs. I see other MD's complaining about prices of resources only to get flamed by those MD's that are either wealthy or independant. Day by day all I see is more division in our ranks. We have no unity, no sense of community. Why is that? I don't know, maybe some of you can enlighten me.

I see a solution to our problem, but it will take a community effort to effect change. The more we are divided, the more we are at each others throats, the less we get accomplished. My solution is simple. Strike! Buff yourself, buff your guild, buff your friends. But do not buff the public, for any ammount of credits. Show that elite fighter that without us, they will make less money. Show that artisan that without us, they will have a harder time finding those primo resources and hunt with thier fighting profession. Lets see how many people want to take on those uber enemies without our touch. There is nothing anywhere that says we MUST buff the public. Don't even cure poison's, diseases, or heal wounds. I'm speaking of a complete and total strike. To every MD out there, or aspiring MD, go and enjoy your secondary profession. Go and get a group of your friends together and hunt those uber enemies in peace because there will be no-one there (except maybe another MD's group) to kill steal or grief you. Because all the other mundains will be busy crying about not having buffs.

The world as we know it is going through growing pains, and without a firm stand we will get left behind. Stand together in this my brothers and sisters and we will prevail. Make me proud to be a member of this elite profession, show me we won't take this laying down.

Great idea! They were giving me such hell tonight about prices, so I stood around with my MDoc tag on for the rest of the night while there were no other docs on and people were yelling "need doc buff" the whole time.

I agree. I dont sell my buffs unless its someone i know but your idea is gr8. Let all the babies cry when they cant go doing solo missions- all hail the gods of SWG, the doctors.

You ask why? Well, the reason is quite simple. Even though all MDs carry the same title, it doesn't disregard that buffing is a business. Business is shall we say business. Why would any doctor trying to make money raise their prices so the buffer right next to them can get all of the profit? We live in a competitive society (I dont care where you live) where money is most of the time more important then others and I think this scenario is a perfect example of how we do it instinctivly.

Dont mean to sound harsh but this is how its going to work. Prices will go up, inflation will occur (since the devs dont control the currency.) Thats actually another issue I'd like to discuss. With creds pumping out of the server (from npcs and mission terminals). The people will have more and more and more credits without any withdraw from the server itself. Therefore prices will go up at an exponential rate unless the server takes a certain amount of money away from the people.

Oh... and its period, space. Come on...

The only thing is if we dont all strike then the few docs that do will become uber rich but they will have uber headaches. I say strike. Heck im usualy the only doc pub buffing long enough to get a big line. Im probly just rambling on at this point.. i better shut up before i make my self look any dummer then i already have

Take your other profession's tag off and wear your Master Doctor tag with pride. Insert an AFK message saying "Go buff yourself." Maybe if no doctors were buffing then they would appreciate the doctors when they can no longer solo group Janta missions.

I can understand competition, and maybe one of the problems is that there are too many doctors and not enough people in the resource gathering community to make it a competitive market. Be that as it may, it only strenghtens my point.

One word if carried throughout all the servers performed by all doctors will drive our point home.....

That word.....

STRIKE!!!

Stand together in this and we will be heard.

LOL, instead of buffing ppl, I actually sell the buff packs now. Resources aren't that high. Only poor people complain about "high prices." Its a known fact.

Uuhhhmmm, It is pretty funny to read this when most the doc's I know already refuse to buff the public..lol...maybe there is more unity among doc'sthan meets the eye. The idiots that make buffing the public such a drag are very unlikely to see this thread. I suggest it be moved to general forums where the people you hate buffing will be more likely to see it.

to the DEVS: Docs have been asking for buffing tents/booths (like image design tents?) where the ignorant masses will see a sign with the stats (power; duration; price) on a sign, and a place in line system that functions like the numerical ticket you get at

the DMV, example: I walk up to a doc booth, the sign has stats and the number currently being served,I look at a ticket vendor and can see the place i will take in line before I make my bank tip, I bank tip take my ticket and wait my turn...sounds so simple...

back to the strike idea;......what exactly is it that your striking against?
