To start off, I Just became master Doc a day or two ago. I became a doc simply to make money, either buffing or selling medicine from a vendor. This morning, when I logged in I was greeted by a /tell from a stranger. He was a jedi who had just been killed. He politely asked me to come ressurect him. I was sitting in my house at the time, so I crafted my very first resurrection kit, and hurried out to his waypoint. After Resurrecting him he tipped me 10k, which i gladly accepted. He had several guild mates near by, and everyone was friendly. I was happy to help him.

To start off, I Just became master Doc a day or two ago. I became a doc simply to make money, either buffing or selling medicine from a vendor. This morning, when I logged in I was greeted by a /tell from a stranger who had done a person search for a master doc. However, later ontonight I encountered this situation for the second time. This time( a different jedi), I was in the middle of a guild activity, and did not have my equipment with me. I hurried to his waypoint as fast as I could. Unfortunately, by the time I crafted a new resurrection kit, and arrived at the scene, I was too late. I was then harrassed and insulted by the jedi, and blamed for his loss of 200xp. In the process of flaming me, the jedi said he would have paid me 1M credits. Was he talking smack, or should i be charging that kind of money?
My question to any doctors reading this is, does this happen all the time? (Not the flaming, but the emergency resurrection requests) If so, how much should I charge for this service? 1M credits is more than most people have, but I can understand that the alternative, losing 200k xp, is much much worse. The resurrection kits are not very hard to craft, so the real thing I would charge for is the ride out to the accident. If I charged 250k-500k, would this be fair? What do you other doc's charge?

When you leave your master doc tag on, you'll get tells all over the place. I say you should rez people only if you really want to, and charge whatever you think is worth your playing time. You're not obligated to bring everyone back from the brink of death, so if someone gives you a hard time just /addignore them. It seems like I don't even charge for my services based on the materials I've put into my crafts, more like I charge based on what makes being a doctor worthwhile for me. Most of the time someone will make you an offer that's more than acceptable anyways, at least on my server.

Personally, if I don't know the Jedi they can lay there and rot. I always have Rez Kits on me, but about 90% of the Jedi I have met are arrogant, cocky and demanding. I've gotten as much as 40K for a rez, but most of the time I won't wait around to tell them to type /consent Travin 10 times.

Thanks for the Help guys
Honestly I dont mind rezzing a jedi. I'm a nice guy like that, always keep my Helper Tag turned on. But when I get harrassed by someone after I stop what Im doing, and go to help him, It makes me want to charge #$$holes like that 500k to 1 million. Lets see how arrogent he is after I give him the choice between 500k credits, or 200k xp
BTW, Im sorry about the other 2 duplicate posts of this thread, I thinki hit my back button by mistake or something.

It seems like most of the time I'm pretty much one of the only doctors on Lok (Gorath) since I always have my Master Doctors tag on. I get constant tells, most from Jedi, to rez them. I however, will not rez a jedi. For multiple reasons, but the first being, they are out there working on their character, they got themselves into a situation they couldn't handle, and got killed. It's their own fault. The XP loss is part of being a jedi.
It seems like most Jedi EXPECT it. Like I'm there only to service them and how dare I say no to them. Its the same reason I don't buff people when they send me a tell (Unless they are really nice). I'm here playing the game and having fun just like they are. If I ran up to a Jedi as told them "Come with me you have to help me kill xxxx" and just EXPECTED them to say yes, I'm sure they wouldn't be too happy. *shrugs*
Its not about the money - its about the principle.

1mil for a rez for anyone but a jedi? outrageous
1mil for a jedi? compare that to the XP loss and its worth it for some reason, but i wouldn't go asking for it. i never charge for a res... but usually receive 25k or so when i get tipped w/o asking.
as far as him putting you down and that goes, screw him, next time's dead laugh at him. even better have him /consent you and just drag him all over the place... yeah i know what i said is mean, but so is what he did to you.

At least he offered that much, you didn't have a set price. Many times I have been asked to come rez a jedi and haven't been paid at all. It's the principle more so than the money. I don't sit around waiting for tells to go rez someone, I am grinding as well and I have to stop what I'm doing to go rez ... like you said, what's worse .. paying for a rez OR loosing 200k exp?
I have certain people (jedi)I WILL NOT buff or rez only because if they are under attack by other players, it leaves me vulnerable to attack as well. The jedi is now un-buffed and an easy target. If you don't buff them .. they run off and leave you TEF'd. My rule of thumb ... don't rez or buff a jedi you don't know personally.Sometimes even one that you know will take advantage of you ... pfft

I had a Jedi get killed down by the pool at the Tusken Fort with an Executioner, 2 Observers and a Witch Doctor all within 20M of her. And she wanted me to run down and rez her. So I waited to get the /consent message and I ran in, hit her with my drag macro and ran out. Then I rezed her and didn't even get a thank you. So as far as I'm concerned Jedi are on their own unless they can prove that they are worth my time. 1M credits for a rezseems like a perfectly acceptable deal to me. I was offered 2M by one guy that died wearing his RIS armor.

I rarely wear my master doc title because that would be asking to get tells from all over the place at a rate that I do not want to cope with. So the people asking me for a rez are either people that know me, or strangers that happen to die next to my feet not even asking for a rez, but consenting me after I ask them to. I dont have a set price, I just tell people I rez to tip what they feel the service is worth, and most of them have a general idea of the doctor fees on my server, so I get at least the fair market price that other docs charge for a rez. More than likely though, people will tip more than what is considered the market price. Dont ask me why though, Im not a psychologist
. The biggest tip I got for a rez so far was from a jedi that got killed while fighting Nyax unbuffed, 200k that one was. 1 credit per otherwise lost xp point is fair in my opinion.
(I didnt rez him before killing and looting Nyax myself, of course
