We all know that our profession for both crafting and healing is getting a dramatic nerf. Most of us are not proud of that, and others are very happy about it. So lets put our minds together for the crafting part of the profession and come up with a list of resources we would like to see used in our new schematics.


I'm noticing that a lot of previously unused resources are being thrown into Doc crafting right now, but the numbers they are looking for are just way too high. We, as players, also have a lot of resources stock piled that are not going to be used in current schematics. So lets compose a list that of resources and amounts needed for our correspondent to use.


I've started a list belowof SOE'slist of resources/amounts for each crafted item. Lets take this list and get it to work to both SOE and our advantages. Let us be fair and still use some of the newer resources required and also incorperate our older resources into this.

give it more time, a day or two. from the tells and mail im getting, people are just so pist right now. god knows i was afew daysago, seems like one bomb hits right after another. things should calm down.

I won't have the skill points left over to pick up BE, so why should I be worried about it. Just trying to make as many stims as I can nowand hope the conversion doesn't screw me over too bad. Oh well, such as life!

I've just decided to do what I can, start watching resources now and do what I can. The best lokian fiberplast we've had in a long time is in spawn, plubum iron or whatever it is is very good atm as well and I went around buying up a recent spawn of colat iron last night... might be changedd? of cource. But I'd rather have to try to offload the resources i've acquired than being left out in the dark feeling stupid for not jumping on the resources when I still could.


Onto the new proposed list, from what I see you've simply replaced herb meat in a lot of places for some of the harder to get resources, added flowers, greens, reactive gas and avian in some spots and left the majority of the minable resources in tact, correct?


My main problem with the resource list as proposed by SOE is simply this,mollusks, and crustacean and to a certain extent, milk.... take those out and I wouldnt be concerned at all ... I can deal with the rest ... maybe add more uses for avian meat, reactive, etc. But I don't mind waiting for a good shift of talus scaley, and I might even be able to deal with the mollusk/crustacean thing if it wasn't planet specific resources and just generic milk, generic crustaceans and generic mollusks ... they're as hard if not harder to get than avian, so why should they be planet specific when avian's never been?

In a way yes, but I want some help to get all the players ideas on what to add or change on the list. I did also reduced the amount of fish, mollusk and Crustations needed. I basicly started a list with some ideas and want some feed back from other players. The main goal is for us all to put our heads together and come up with a workable list of resoruces for our schatics.


I personally really dont have a problem with some of the new resources added, I just think that they are requiring way toomany of them.


So lets get together and get some tweaks and changes going on the list.This wayour correspondent can have something toput onthe table for the developers from the players.

I can tell you from experience Mollusc is a pain to get in any quantity, so if they simply HAVE to use it, at least let it be in a very small quantity.


Milk, same story. It cannot be hunted in groups (you need mask scent so as to not spook the animal). I would suggest that if they just HAVE to have it in there, then at least reduce the quantities significantly and make it a generic planet thing. New players ought to be able to gather this, especially with the apparently lowered mission payout.


Dathomirian fiberplast is going to be really really hard. Those with the ability to survey, cannot survive on Dathomir, and Dathomir is a bad planet for harvesters anyway. Making this a requirement will only serve to make Dathomir one large static harvester field.


Fish should simply be forgotten about, unless they plan on giving us automated fish farms. I am already BE on one of my accounts, and fish is needed for the top pet stims. As a result, no one makes them. With a max yield of 200 units a day, it is just too impossible to get. And people usually refuse to get any more after that one day.


My 2 bits for now. I will think on it some more, see what I can come up with to replace these bad boys.

maybe instead of dath fiberplast, endor fiberplast ... still an adventure planet, but easier to place harvs I'd think, but I haven't had to in a long time ... maybe I'm being delusional

I agree that the resource requirements are way too high in quantity, including the sub components needed for the higher level enhancers. If we're to be stuck using these resources I agree that the quantities should be lowered.


Highest current BE requirements (tissues/additives):


Fish - 24

Reptillian Meat - 10

Milk - 25

Eggs - 15

Scaley Hide - 20


BE's are very used to the need for huge quantities of creature resources.


I think that the requirements for Lok Wild Milk, Corellian Crustacean and Endorian Mollusk is going too far. Any milk or seafood should be substituted and the quantities should be lowered.


After giving it some thought, perhaps this is the devs way of preserving our buffing economy? Make the resources so exotic and expensive that prices don't go down.....(and no one uses them)

we need to get on the ball here folks so SOE has time to review our list and see if it will work for them, otherwise we will be stuck with what we do not want.
