Thread: help this holo-grinder get out of your hair ASAP!

Hey all I got master doc as my latest holo, and I was wondering what the best (I.E. fastest) way of climbing the healing trees are. I dont want to be like holo-grinding architechts and flood the market with below-cost structures screwing up the real players, so if anyone can give me tips on how to get this over with as quick as possible, I'll be out of your hair in no time.

I'll take any tips, like burning pets to heal wounds, or tumbling to kneeling macro, or just good old fashion hunting trips. Which tree should I climb first? Should I macro craft BEC's or LSC's? So on and so forth. I don't need to have fun or make money while I'm grinding; I just need to master doctor.

Thanks for any help you can provide!

for crafting if you can afford it, the advanced bec's will get you there fastest. if you can't afford it, regular bec's are the next best. same xp per one crafted and they take 6 rather than 8 of each resource required so you get more for your money.

as for healing, if the med center is busy that's really your best bet. just heal wounds. if they're not busy and you can't afford the down time then grab a backpack load full of stims and find yourself a group that looks like they'll get hurt a lot.

I'm not sure about Master Medic, hopefully you alreayd have that covered - I mastered this back in the day when healing pets gave you xp .

For Doctor, your best bet is to get the /healenhance command ASAP (it's the first or second in the wound treatment tree). The enhance your way up the medical knowledge tree so you can use better packs. If you can't find volunteers, buff a pet, store, and buff again.

For medicine crafting, use a crafting macro. BECs seems to be the best bang for the buck, ABECs are quicker if you can afford the resources.

While you're at it, you may want to master CM too. The xp is the same, so it's a little extra crafting and med xp - but better than dropping everything and having to start from scratch.

Try normal hunting too . You'd be surprised how quickly you can get xp running around healing people - of course if you're in a group with a lot of pets then this won't be too effective...

when i said "same xp per one crafted" i meant same xp as the other non-advanced components. the advanced will give you more than double the xp per one.

Grinding Med XP.. In my opinion the FASTEST med XP coming from hunting trips.. There is a trick to it though.. AVOID AGGRO AT ALL COSTS.. Heal ONLY.. This way your healing doesn't go into the combat queue and you can heal almost constantly.. Set up F1, F2, and F3 as /follow, /healdamage, /stopfollow. When your group engages in combat don't target the mob.. Hit ALT to turn off mouselook so you have the arrow.. Then, don't even look at the battle, watch your groups health bars to the left of the screen.. If you see someone's health dropping click on their health bar and hit F1.. When your toon gets into range start Hitting F2 until he's out of the water.. Rinse, repeat.. My XP went REALLY fast doing this..

Crafting is a bit harder.. Best way is to set up a macro and several crafting tools at once.. Bio Effect controllers until you can make advanced and then advanced bio controllers after that.. If you have a 5 button mouse set one of your seldom used buttons to double click in your OS.. Kick off your macro and try and keep up!

is it efficient to climb the wound healing speed line and just heal my graul mauler's and GSP's burn wounds (when I pay a commando to give them)?

Also, if I wanted to craft ABEC's instead of regular BEC's, how many of each resource should I buy? I only have 1.2 million creds, so will that be enough you think? ABEC's take what? Lokian Wild Wheat and Tat Fiberplast?

Thanks again for all your help! I'll be keeping a close watch on this thread

I know a lot of doctors dont like this, but im a holo doc too. (although i enjoy this professin )

Ask 3 friends or guildmates to set up a tumbling macro and then you write a healing macro that looks something like this:

/target Bob

/pause 1

/heal

/pause 3

/target Bill

/pause 1

/heal

/pause 3

/target Susie

/pause 1

/heal

/pause 3

/ui action toolbarSlot00

This got me a lot of med xp pretty fast. (im gonna get killed for posting this. )

Forgot to mention, and im sure you have figured it out, but you insert the names of the people that are tumbling for you where i put "bob" "bill" and "susie"

You will needabout 23k Tatt fiblerplast and Lokian wheat.. That SHOULD even allow for a modest amount of failiure.. Try to see if you can find some grind quality stuff cheap..

As for healing burn wounds, you COULD set up a macro and do that, but I don't like that for 2 reasons.. Firstly because it's boring, and secondly because it will almost definately take much longer as you will have to have the commando burn it MANY times to equal the amount of XP you will need to advance all 3 branches... You're still better off on the hunting trips... I would find some Squill groups or go to some advanced planets like Dantooine and go on Voritor hunter trips.. Healers are always appreciated on those!

Yea, and it's not bad on your clicker finger if you can rig up a double click button on your mouse..
