Thread: help this holo-grinder get out of your hair ASAP!
Good advice here.
Im am at the end of a Holo-girnd for Master Dr. here is what i discovered.
For crafting, Advanced BEC's are what to grind, a 10 BER Medium floral farm and a 10 BER chem extractor will get you all the materials you need in very short order.
For medical experience there are a number of ways.
Solo
The worst way is to sit in a hospital, except at Peak hours on a busy server healing people that come in.
The second best way is to sit in a busy cantina and with stim packs alone heal the action they loose dancing. Unfortunatly you arent the only Medic or Dr to have this idea.
The fastest experience I made without a friend helping me was at starports, get a good Medical droid and just heal wounds as people arrive at starports or as they wait for the next ship. Even at Theed with no wait, the constant influx of people will usually keep you pretty busy.
With a friend
Have your friend survey Radioactives class 7 while you sit next to them healing them.
Have your friend make a macro that makes him tumble every 2 seconds, you heal the HAM bar while he does it.
There are lots of other tricks like this.
A good flamesingle2 on a 10k HAM pet does give pretty good wounds. Might take 2 or 3 applications of the flame in order to get 10k health wounds though, but with a heal wound macro, you can sit there and craft while it heals.
Another good way is to find a combat medic and have them apply disease to the action and health bars. A good long lasting disease can get you pretty good xp.
Then there's the tumblebot, have a friend tumble over and over. Set a macro to heal everyso often. Go eat dinner or something. Just make sure your inventory is full with stimpaks and use /healdamage rather than selecting a specific stim. With healdamage, it'll use whatever stim you have in inventory so you don't have to keep replacing stimpaks on your hotbar every so often.
Im not even doing the Holocron grind. Im just having fun.
I'm not kidding I went from 4/4/4/1 to master in less than3 hours using the method I listed above just by doing ABEC's.. And you can watch the bar move up so fast it seem to go by even faster..

How long will it take to climb the crafting branch using a macro to make ABEC's?

I just finished part one of my silent holo doctor grind, so i can speak of fresh experience.
Although it is true having the friend tumble macro while you heal is a great way to get the needed exp.
Be aware that the exp cap is VERY different then any other profession i have done thusfar. It is ALOT lower of a cap. For example, while grinind pistoleer, lets say you needed to get to 15k for next level, well you could reach 30k before capping out. I preferred to pass the time while healing my tumbling friend, but playing Knights of the Old republic on my Xbox. In between levels, I would run over and check, or i would listen for the heal sound.. There were MANY times I wasted multiple stims, because the cap is so low. So just be aware you DO have to monitor it closely, or you WILL waste potential exp heals.
Ninja healing! That was my favorite way to get med xp too. It's a win/win situation because nobody in their right mind will object to being healed of wounds.

You can "/target Name" any named targetable objects, including your bike [ /target Speederbike ]or your pet [ /target (Fluffy) ] . For pets don't forget the ( ) around the name. You have to type it exactly as it appears, case-sensitive.
Let me know if you find something that you cannot target with this command, but you can target with a click.
