Thread: Why is it that you heal less when you reach Master Doc?
I wandered into my local med center today. I had some interesting chats with a few novice doctors and novice medics about crafting, schematics ... doc stuff. I trained a few folks, I heal a number of folks. I actually got tipped (and generously) a few times.
I enjoyed my visit. No one complained about a master doctor in residence ... no one demanded immediate healing. Everyone was polite. It was a very civilized atmosphere .. maybe a little quiet though.

man people need to learn their role. im sick of all the noobs in this game who have no idea how to group. If your invited to a group w/ master doctor flagged over your head then it most likely they want you to come along and heal them. i mean its like saying as a marksman, no warning shot when something agrosyou.. because its a favor not an obligation to get agro offyou? guess some people just dont know what team work means. so anywaysheres a suggestion, if you dont want to be healing in a group then dont have urself tagged as a master doctor.
I take it that your role is village idiot. It suits you.
I heal less as a Master Doctor for one simple reason: I don't need to grub for med experience anymore. I now reserve my services for my guild mates and friends and the occaisional 'just for the heck of it'.

You obviously don't get the point. You need to read a little closer and use a better example. The point is NOT about learning your role. The problem plain and simple is demanding instead of asking. Its called common courtesy. In your example, how many times have you had to save someone and how many times have they said yeah you should have done that because thats your role what took you so long.
Sometimes people think Im not a team player when they were foolish enough to run ahead against a couple of warlords and a chief. Frankly I just wait in the background while half the group gets killed trying to help them. In those cases I dont run in and get myself killed. But ya know what? I rez them 5 minutes later and they think Im a pretty good team player. I got news for ya we're all noobs. The game and beta hasn't been out long enough to go acting like your not..
I encountered this as well and there are various reasons. First, there is the fact that I don't need medical xp anymore. Second, I'm out running around the galaxy trying to get the best resources I can so I can make the best enhancement packs for my guildmates. That's my chief role now is handing out buffs to my guildmembers so they can go have thier fun. Third is that I won't heal unless I know I'm going to get paid. Part of this is because I'm a greedy little weasel. However, part is due to the fact that there are other players trying to get that xp and I want to let them have that xp.
BTW, Master Doctors, if you want to make some money give a shout out as to how much your buffs give and how long they last and how much you expect to get paid for them. I'm sure you'll get some money for them.
this is exactly whats wrong w/ the world today. too many people only concerned about themselves, about what they do, and whats good for them. JuJutsu, i think you picked the wrong profession. Doctors are people who like to help other people. You should of been a lawyer... you greedy lil pos.

look its simple... if members in your group have to ask you again and again for heals your not doing your job. and frankly no one has ever had to ask me to do a warning shot cause im smart enough to know when to use it. im not one of those noobs who has 1 combat button on their hot bar.
btw... being a smart player and a team player arent necessarily the same thing. I give you credit for not following a bunch of noobs to their death... i cant stand that either.... my only complaint is when i have to ask people to do stuff (like healing) in the middle of a fight when im busy trying to crowd control a bunch of angry mobs.

Yeah and thats why the most skilled doctorsin real life are so rich.... lmao
Sorry but come on, doctors aren't just there to whore out their services for nothing. If that were the case why not just have NPCs in the med center healing people for free? I am not yet master Doc, in fact I just stared up the tree. But I can still heal wounds pretty fast. I also don't like asking for tip but when you heal someone that has like half woundsand get no tip it's gonna make you somewhat disgruntled. Stiffing a person like that is just not the right thing to do.
You know what, I'm not even close to being a master Doc yet and already I steer clear of the Mec Centers. Even before I became a novice Doc I found it more fun to gain my xp on run-by-healings while scouting out resources and exploring.Or whipping out my droid to heal wounds while waiting for a shuttle, being oddly self-sufficient by bartering heals forresources. Since the big patch and the addition of non-CH pets, I'm almost antisocial
. I get better xp using a crate of A's on my pet as he's devouring herbavores
than I could ever get in a med center. I still prefer run-by-healing to being asked, because they almost never pay.
I've seen both ends of the patient spectrum, from the A$$'Ole$ to the generous tippers, but I honestly do prefer a heartfelt "Thank You" to a tip (As long as people still buy my stims :smileywink![]()
im going to let you in on a little secret: I had like 20 stimpack d's left over from farming, when i hit master doctor. and i didnt think i'd ever use them up, concidering they were like 36 charges a peice. Now im on my last one. ![]()
All i had to do was go to a party with a band, and heal them all night, it was kinda boreing but i met some really nice people.
