When firing off Warning shot costs you cash beyond the decay rate of your gun come back and bitch.

Medical professions pay for everything just to be able to utilize their class.

Want free heals? Find a medic/doctor/combat medic who is using only TendWound and see how much you enjoy watching the blue bar go to zero on your medic and getting healed for 60 pnts of damage.

Quite honestly, a Master level medical class has no need to help anyone and can solo very, very efficiently if they have picked up ranged combat skills. Before knockdown was changed, I was more than a few boxes up in TKA andvery fewmobskilled me between Knockdown and Stim-D.

Now I just use Supression Fire, Warning Shot and a bleed to solo hunt yellow or red animal mobs with little fear.

Players and groups like yourself are why I don't wear my medical tags *ever* and only group with players that I know IRL or have already proven not to be asses.

Its funny on the rudeness thing. I was in good old Tusken Fort. People start demanding heals when they get low. One guy told me "hey we are doing all the work its the least you can do". I smiled and wow no rez for him. Im the rez nazi...hehe. On the doing all the work side, im almost a battlemaster so my sword was doing an awful lot of work too. In any event I dont need med xp anymore either. People need to understand that it is a favor and not a obligation. My reasons for going the med route wasnt just to cater to everyone else. Im happy to do it but not if it is expected.

Also, Im gonna get flamed for this but I can't stand docs that whine about Tipping. Its ok to remind but leave it after that. If you can't afford to heal then don't. My tips seem to be very good when no one feels obligated by some whinny doc. I got yelled at for rezing someone and they asked me how much and I said whatever you like dude I was happy to help him. Another person says you are spoiling it for the rest of the docs who need paid... Sorry but Im going to play the game the way it is fun for me and it dont seem to stop the docs with me in Tusken fort from getting paid...

look its simple... if members in your group have to ask you again and again for heals your not doing your job. and frankly no one has ever had to ask me to do a warning shot cause im smart enough to know when to use it. im not one of those noobs who has 1 combat button on their hot bar.

btw... being a smart player and a team player arent necessarily the same thing. I give you credit for not following a bunch of noobs to their death... i cant stand that either.... my only complaint is when i have to ask people to do stuff (like healing) in the middle of a fight when im busy trying to crowd control a bunch of angry mobs.

First, again you did not read carefully and again your example is hosed. First off, Im talking about demanding heals. A simple please would suffice.

Second, who are you to know what it is like to keep a group of 20 healed up. Your example is really lame. You are smart enough to know when to use warning shot? Wow thats rocket science. Do you have to use it on 10 people at a time? I have to judge between healing and letting die and then rez. If for example the group gets into trouble in Tusken Fort like last night and 2 warlords and chief are going aggro, I hade to judge between letting them die and healing and taking my mind down with thebig mind wounds I already had. In that case I fought and let them die because I was almost the last man standing and if I would have died from a mind blow then we would have been out of rezzers.I have to make these decision with little time to think about it. In all this battle, if some guy is yelling Heal me its your job, he can go fly a kite. It not as simple as you say and this shows you are a noob because you don't understand.

I hope I run into you so I can educate you on the finer points of group battle and role playing...

I am on my way to master doctor.

I dont spen alot of time healing in med centers any more. I spent some time in them at first and had some really good conversations with people and other doctors. It was fun to see that the med center was simmular to hospitals in real life, it would be completely dead on second and swamped the next.

I enjoyed the med center, but it got to the point where if I went in there I would never go to bed. There was alway someone that needed help and I felt bad logging out with out helping them.

Since I am also a combat person I tend to wander around the area of my house healing adventurers and lending a helpful hand where I can. If I see black bars, I invite them back to my house for some healing and send them on thier way.

i dont remember ever asking for free heals??? the 2 original points i made were:

1. If your group members have to repeatedly ask you to heal them... then your a sorry excuse for a doctor/combat medic. Also, if you expect them to say please everytime for just doing your job.. then your a noob like morath. (again! im only referring to group situations... not the med center! so don't the rest of you get your panties in a bunch.)

2. JuJutsu was a greedy lil pos. JuJutsu said, "I heal less as a Master Doctor for one simple reason: I don't need to grub for med experience anymore." NOT because of a lack/cost of resources... or the time required to make the various meds.. but just because he doesn't need xp anymore.

so i suggest you start hitting those hooked on phonic tapes again and working on you reading comprehension skills cause i never asked for a free heal. in fact from now on raise your hand before you speak to me!

If you're so knowledgable, res04pa9, why are you posting on a Doctor board when you're clearly not one, and clearly have no clue what you're talking about?

Someone has to take res's side... so I guess I'll be the one lol.

This assumes the doc and the grumbling combateer (in the above example) are in the same group.. and not just casual strangers who both happen to be at the Tuskan fort.

The guy does have a point : in a group everyone hasa role, and if everyone does what they do best.. you turn over missions faster, you die less, and you become a more efficient, cohesive fighting machine. Again, I'm talking the same group.. not two strangers in the same location.

I am almost a master doctor, but I'm also a carbineer and a squad leader. I do a very good job of coordinating the group... and saving people's butts witha strategic posture down when they are trying to run away from a nasty red con. Not to mention making sure that every target is bled when up against lots of high HAM mobs.

But when someone goes down... it's my job as the doc to drag them to safety and/or heal them up. Or even resusitate them. That's my strongest skill... nobody else can heal someone from 5% health up to 100% in one go.

So res's point is that in a group.. you think as a group. If you're tagged as a master doc you're advertising your strongest ability.... do it.

If you don't want that responsibility, tag yourself as Battlemaster and nobody will bug you

haha your a genius.. read the first line of what i wrote.. it directly applies to you. If you were healing properly then why would people IN YOUR GROUP be demanding heals? (and to all the other doctors that are gettin pissed.. were NOT talkin about sitting in a med center while a bunchpeople who are demanding heals! we're talking about his group members) are u really that much of a priss that they have to say please first? jeeze how about asking for a song and dance for gods sake...
btwanyone who hunts at the tusken fort in a group of 20 is a noob!you may think your not a noob.. but the fact that you go to places like the tusken fort in a group of 20 says otherwise.

since when do 2 warlords and a chief attack 10 people at once? isyour example is you healing a group of 20 against 3 mobs suppose to make me think your the man? you really need a better example. hahah effectively holding off 3-4 monsters is just as difficult as deciding which idiot to heal first. I have to worry about how low my ham gets not just mymind... how close to let the creature get, dont want him agroing something else... whether i should snare or root the mob via traps.. or just let it run off.. again hopefully w/out bafing another mob.... and on top of that I have to manually targetthe mob.. (since tab sucksin busy areas! whose got time to cycle through all the crap)while you can use the group screen to easily target a player and hit a button to heal or in your case not to heal? so dont make it sound like your jobs tougher than mine and just keep crying more noob.

Sure, right. I've been in this situation before. As the only rezzer in a group, if I die, everyone dies. period. You can talk about tactics with warning shot all day, but I have to decide if you live or die if I'm in your group and we get into a bad situation. You try attempting to keep mutliple enemies knocked down and still healing your group. As a master doc/pistoleer, I believe I know both sides of this...
