Hey Everyone. Im writing this just to let alot of you know about Paying for Buffs. Heres what happend to me.

I was on Dathomir and this guy said he would buff me. so i thought, alright sounds good, hes doin it for free so i might as well. After he was done he told me to pay 6k. Now if he would have just mentioned this before hand i would have gladly declined his offer. So i said i would pay half and he didnt like that and he got mad.

Then he went to mt guild and was whining so a guy from there gave him the money for it. and i got talked to about which i didnt really enjoy. This really makes me mad.

Advise to you Doctors. If you want people to pay, say so before hand, dont just buff wildly.

Hope the guy who did this spends his money well!

Did this Doctor actually say he was buffing for free?

If not you cannot assume that he is just becuase he hasn't set a price before buffing you. If he has asked you if you would like buffing and you say yes this to me would imply that you are willing to pay the price. If you are unsure of the price then ask before saying yes to the service. The Doc is probablypartly to blameby assuming everyone knows the average price of buffs and not checking before buffing you, he should of at least said '6k ok?'.

I have had this happen to me before when the person said after i buffed him he only had 1000 credits but i said he could use the buffs to go earn some money and pay me back later but only charged him half price.

My advice would be always check prices before agreeing to any service or deal in the future.

I would say it was the docs fault mainly. If you offer your services but don't state a price, then it is the docs fault. He is volunteering to do the service, therefore, it's free.

I agree, if you want to charge a certain price, it should be stated before-hand. Same thing with people whining about not getting tipped. Tipping is voluntary, if you want to be paid for healing, then set a price and dont do it for less.

However 6K for a D buff is **edit** cheap especially on Dath.

You should just pay him for that one lol

But the price should have been stipulated up front

It's the doctor's fault. If a doctor wants to get paid for a service, it needs to be set up front and agreed upon by both parties. If he wanted 6k for the buff, he should have told you that right away. Personally, I won't click a packuntil I've got the money in hand.

You're an a-hole. As for you thinking it was free, I call B.S. on that. You know buffs cost at least 6k and you went into with the idea of cheating this guy with the excuse that he didn't state his price up front. Doctors should get payment in advance b/c of retards like you.

It sounds like there was some miscommunication between the parties. Personally speaking, I always collect before I start buffing. Always.

Wow, such hostility from someone that wasn't even there. Did someone piss in your cornflakes this morning?

I've seen a few doctorsthat wouldgo around offering free buffs. As for buffs costing 'at least 6k', I've seen doctors on my server charge4-5k. The highest I've seen is 6k. And then any sub standard buffs would get a full refund.

With your attitude I can imagine a lot of your customers choose to go elsewhere for their repeat business.

If you are going to sell something, you need a price on it. If someone asks if I am buffing, I always respond "Absolutely, sir/madam,[cost] for a full body buff!".

I haven't advertised a buff in over a month.First of all, I hate /yell spam. Second of all, the Master Doctor tag and a med droid speak for themselves. When I go in to buff mode, I put on doctor's clothing, pull out the surgical, and throw up the tag. I just plant in a visible area, preferably away from lag, and let the clients come to me. People send tells or run up, I tell the the price, and it's smooth sailing. Once a couple people group around and people start to notice, I need to take Muon to keep up with the line that forms!

I wont be like that, but he is right, I have never EVER seen a Master Doc buff for free. I've seen novice docs buff for XP, but I have never seen a Master Doc buff for free. I dont blame you for what happened, because I always get my money before I buff. But you should never plan on a master doc to buff someone he doesn't know for free. When ever your buffed be sure you have atleast 10k. I personally charge 8-9k....no matter where I'm at. Just because I'm on Coronet doesn't mean my buffs are worth less. I also never give refunds....you get what you get. it still takes the same amount of resource to make them, and if I get a crap roll, sorry nothing I can do about it.
