Thread: Before you do anything, go Buff the tumblers in the med center...

Anyone that buffs a tumbler, or anyone else without being asked for it, is griefing them. You can be banned from this game for griefing.

If you're going to buff them with the sole intention of stoppping others from getting healing exp off them then you should be banned for griefing. What gives you the right to dictate how they play the game? If you don't like it then /addignore, /denyservice, or whatever. But you don't have to grief others.

I've sat in med centers waiting for petients so I could get healing exp "the right way". 3-10 of us would be sitting there for up to 20 min waiting for one guy to show up with 50 wounds. Great exp there..... This might have been a good way to get exp when the game was released and the cities were crowded but it isn't now.

This is what all of us docs who can buff should do...

As soon as we hit Coronet, go directly to the med center and buff all of the tumblers in the med center, so none of thepeople in there, grinding their wayto master, canignore the people who really need to be healed anymore. This will leave them all withno choice but to heal people because they actually need to be healed.

They will start hanging out in the star ports and cantinas looking for people to randomly heal, like the good old days and the way it was meant to be in the first place.

Let's leave them to either heal the public as needed, or find a friend to tumble for them in a privite place, somewhere other than the med center, to grindtheir way to mastery.

I do not have a problem with grinding at all, so please do not get me wrong here. What I do have a problem with, is the lazieness that people have devloped with respect to how and where thay are ginding. I do not think it is fair to the community that you arehijacking the med centers for yourgrinding purposes. These are public places where the public is supposed to come toget healed. Not a place for every LAZYperson to come to grindtheir way to maser, at the expense of the public not getting any attention whatsoever in there.

I guarantee that if we all make a stand and make it a point to do this to ALL the people we see tumbling for these people in public places, it will all but stop, and the medical profession can start to gain back some resembelance of respect... At least in the med centers anyway. Lol.

I, for one, will be doing this every chance I get in the Scylla galaxy. As a matter of fact, I am grinding to master armorsmith right now, so I am just going to hang out in the med centers and craft, while I make 100% sure that they are not getting any points for their lazieness.

I am sure I am going to make alot of friends this way (Lol), but this is a necessary evil in my eyes, and I am going to do it single handedly if need be. I am on at random times all day and all night too. So there is not going to be a safe time to get away with it. And if I find that there is a "Magic" time that they are getting away with it, I will set upmacro to do it at those times, and elicit a few other docs to help me in my off hours.

This WILL work! It has to!

I will keep you posted on my progress fellow Doctors.

Please join me in this practice in your own galaxies as well, and we will all gain back our med centers from these hijackers.

So what do you say fellow Docs?

I am a novice doctor and tumblers have helped me get here... I heal the wounded as soon as they come in because its better exp... but if they find the tumblers to be taking away how fast they get healed they should ask for heals and maybe tip the doctors instead of getting pissed off...

You may do just that Mistabigstuf, and I commend you for it... But the truth is that most do not, and they just do not want to be bothered by someone that really needs to be healed to stop their macro for a few short minutes.

I am very sorry that good people like you will get caught upin my method of putting a stop to this nonsense.

Again, I would like to say that I am very sorry to ALL the good people out there that take the time to heal the public (Wether they tip you or not. I mean your tumbler ain't tipping you either, and you get more points fromthe people who really need it anyway.) while you are healing the tumblers as well.

People always abuse things, and now we have to do something about it, or it will just be yet another disapointing thing in this game, but this one will have been caused by lazy players as well, and not just the devs themselves.

I've seen some do this. Its funny, I walk into the med center, look around, see people gathered around about 4 tumblers. A Master doc walks in, offers buffs. Some take it. On his way out he gives the tumblers a buff. All of a sudden the green 123 above their heads turns to a red 11... Quite humorous.

I have used my share of tumblers, but like it more when a Dancer is simply exhausting their bar and I heal, at least then someone can get Battle Fatigue or mind healed...

personally I found a dancer or musician that was grinding. They set their flourishes to max and I kep them healed. I got invited to a lot of entertainer groups from that and they all stayed within healing range so I could heal them.

3 benefits to this.
#1 they stay healed so they can flourish and get xp
#2 I get xp from healing them (side benefit is not using a exploit to gain XP)
#3 I was also sitting there crafting stim a's to use on them so I was geting crafting XP + usage xp (which brings it to 45 xp per stim a not 30 little known crafting xp trick if you item gets used up it gives you an xp bonus, but only if you are within a certain range)

I also found the entertainers tiped me even though I told them not to bother cause they were helping me as much as I was helping them

When I hit doc I would also buff them with buff pack a's at first (for free they didn't complain

Who gave you the right to tell/suggest how other people should play the game.
Just because there are a couple of lazy people, I dont think you should hinder the playing of honest and hardworking players.

This is a big reason I used to be for grouping for buffs or consenting to it beforehand. Not neccessarily because you are griefing tumblers but also those that grief you with a low buff for xp. That's just sad.

Who cares about a low buff, they can be overwritten.

I buff as many tumblers as possible in Theed and Coronet, almost daily.

When I grinded my way to master, I did it in my house, with my roommate.

NOT in a public place where players go to get HEALED by those in the MEDICAL profession.

If someone comes to my house and says "can you heal me" while I'm macro'ing its not near as rude to say "no I'm grinding" as it is in the MEDICAL CENTER.

Funny thing: I never got asked to heal in my house though, seems no one was looking to get healed there, they must've been trying to get healed in medical centers.

I buff tumblers all of the time .

HINT : Buff only their Quickness pool. and then maybe their Strength pool. These two pools buffed alone will take a 188 point a tick Tumbler to 0.

For the few that don't know , if you buff the main pools only, you are only helping the tumbler.

Besides, Tumbling is an Exploit if used in this manner. It's nerf is comming.

I buff them every chance I get. I get called plenty of dirty names for it too.

I'm **edit**ing ON Scylla, and live 1.2 km from the Medical Center. I register in the medical center DAILY and I never see a god damn soul in there for actual healing. When people go into the medical center for healing, they get healed--I see it every day. But no one ever comes in, so the only option to XP is tumbling. You REALLY want people to grind healing the old fashioned way?

STOP **edit**ING BUFFING PEOPLE.

When's the last time you saw a combat profession that NEEDED healing?
