Thread: Doctors Not Doing Their Duty

I know what Im going to say is going to be pure flame bait, but here goes:
I hate tumblers so much I buff their Action stats in the med centre. Its so depressing to see "A Doctor is a Master of Healing wounds" and then watching them heal a tumbler and watch that man in the corner on the bed with 1200 wounds and a disease ticking for masses of wounds as he repeatedly shouts
"Can someone heal my wounds please"
and gets ignored andflooded by:
"Tumbling 4 you plzzz t1p"
Although rarely I see Doctors doing well, they are out there, just don't let the Buff Crazy Docs get to you.

Yep, I'm sick of it too, which is why the other day I went round the Med center in coronet and buffed all the Tumblers quickness and strength.... oh I had many abussive tells, but it was worth it to make them do their job.

I like bieng a Doctor, the profession fits me like a glove. I like resource hunting, crafting, and creating usefull things that dont require a huge vareity of resources, or a huge quantity like weaponsmith or archetect for example. Doc crafting for me, is just like in the story of Goldylocs and the Three Bears - Just right.
I also enjoy healing people and bieng helpfull, though here is where the rub comes. The way I make my packs, it generally doesnt cost me too much money, and even a slight tip would cover my cost. Tipped? Nope. Thanked? Nope. Require payment in advance? Get laughed at, because what I do isnt worth money to people, even though it costs me money.
At some point, even people who enjoy helping others, will find that is kind of at the least bitter sweet, when doing so comes with the realization that they are not thankfull at all for it. You are nothing to most people as a doc, but a tool for them to use when needed, and then discard.'
When people are going out and making 35k per mission at hundreds of thousands of credits per hour, and cant even spare the decency for a 500c - 1000c tip and a Thanks!, thats really pissed a lot of people off. Now some people dont mind how this seems to work, but most do.
Just my 2 cents - I was a Doctor for several months over a year ago, I return and there are far less skilled people in the med center or otherwise healing wounds. Mostly the only docs I see around have THIRTY minute lines for buffs. Ask yourself why is it that the only Docs you see, are usually the ones buffing.
Most docs I know are not in it for the money, but trying to support yourself while paying to heal other people stings, and eventually leaves Docs rubbed the wrong way for the last time.

I KNOW!!! There are tons of people around who have no idea what their duty is!
I was running to my harvesters. And I see that nest has spawned near it so I can't get to my harvester without getting hit. But what luck is this?!? I see a pistoleer riding by on his bike! so I called out to him
"Yo! Pistoleer! come here and do your duty! take that nest out!"
Well that lame-o pistoleer just drove by! The NERVE!
I managed to empty out them harvester and headed to starport to hop on a shuttle to head to the Theed, and I saw a chef waiting on line. So I said
"Hey chef! Do your duty and cook me a Bespin port!"
But that chef goes on and on about how he don't have the right ingredient at the moment and blah blah blah. Well he is chef! he supposed to have all his stuff together right? I mean you expect every doctor to carry around every wound pack and every heal pack and every buff pack and every innoc pack and so on true?
And things got worse and worse! I was at cantina expecting to get a mind buff. But them dancers and musicians completely ignored me! They should do their duty and buff my mind!
I don't know what is going on here. The game is deteriating my the minute!
Most of these knuckle head don't think that when they are capable of doing something, it is their duty to do that whenever someone demand them of performing that skill! what kind of injustice is that! You can do something, I ask you to do that, then it is their DUTY to do just that regardless of their desire to do that or not! Right?
Ugg... I just about had it. But whatcha gonna do. life goes on.

LOL, you hit the nail right on the head. I was thinking why didn't that MDE give me my med droid when I needed it. LOL
I buff 1 or 2 hours a day at the SP to get my toon enough money to keep buying those buffs and med packs. I took my MD tag off last night for the first time because I couldn't "Play the Game" in peace with it on.
