While awaiting (seemingly forever) for the Sith to attack me...I decided to go to Dantooine to do some missions in the hope they may find me there. My char is TKM/Master Doctor. The first thing I'm greeted by is some doc buffing spam. Much to my amazement instead of the small premium vs. cost of buffs at Coronet in the Chilastra galaxy...they tagged on a gouging premium. 25k buffs. ARE YOU KIDDING ME??? All of you who participate in that should be ashamed. High mission payouts or not on Dantooine. I'm a day 1 vet, it's attrocious to see that kind game play. Any time I see that, count on me undercutting you guys. Profit is profit. You don't need to be like the giant greedy corporations of the real world and need vast amounts of profit. It's a game, help make it more enjoyable for other players. Flame me if you will, but gouging like that is just horrible.

So, become a doctor if you don't want to pay. First, 25k is nothing. You make that back on your first caveman mission. Second, anyone should charge whatever they want if the market will bear it. On a personal note, I rarely buff anyone outside of guildies or my group when pvping. If I am at the MO and there is no doc there, I will buff for 15-30 min. My fee: Whatever they want to pay. I don't really care or need the money. My point is that no one is forcing you to pay the 25k.

It's more a convenience tax, really. Seeing as how it saves folks time since they don't have to travel back to Coronet for buffs.
If folks are willing to pay for it, then that's their fault.
And 25K is really just one solo-group Janta mission or so, so it's not that big a loss to the customer.

I just think it's poor gamemanship...and yes I agree ppl can charge what they want. And yeah missions payout well there, but not everyone is advanced and can pull those. So competition will keep those guys honest. Profiteering, disgusting.

I feel you are well within your right to go there and undercut them as well. We have a free market in this game. I like to put loot kit parts on the bazzar for 6k. Hopefully with the "duped" credits removed the economy will be in balance more.

Hmmm.... sounds to me it's been a while since you've crafted a buffpack OR because you've been playing since Day 1, you have a nice stash of resources of good quality.
So - Avian meat pricing being in the 250 cpu range while in spawn and 300 to 400 cpu while out of spawn is not profiteering and disgusting in your book?
Herbivore meat priced at 100 to 150 cpu?
Class 4 selling anywhere from 25 to 100 cpu?
Any type of Medical resource sells for a minimum of 10 cpu and can easily approach 50 cpu depending on how old the spawn is and the quality. Any medical resources comes with an automatic bump in retail price compared to other crafts. Compare Carnivore meat to Avian and Herb as a good example.
Compare those profit margins to the profit margin of 25K buffs and the cost to buy/craft the packs. Where is the higher % margin?
How about Art pieces for 50K to 250K that are looted? How about Adhesives that sell in the millions of credits? Is that poor gamemanship? Or more like winning the lottery.
Pricing fluctuations will happen based on cost of resources, location, rarity and overall inflation over time.
You sound like an old man sitting on his rocking chair whining :::::shaky voice:::: "Why in my day, we surveyed all our own resources ...pfft.... we didin't need and stinking harvesters! And we'd carry them back to our homes climbing mountains both ways - in the dead of winter - with no shoes!"
The market dictates pricing, not the other way around.

You're absolutely right. Not everyone should be getting buffed and doing missions that pay 31K each. Noobs should NOT even be on dantooine, dathomir, endor, or Yavin4. The problem is that they ARE on those planets, and yes, the price would be too rich for them. Buffs are a luxury, not a requirement. Anyone ever heard of grouping? If they can't afford them, let them find another doc to buff cheaper.

If you don’t want them don’t buy them. If no one buys them at that price the price will go down. It’s called a free market.

Bull **edit**! The economy is one of the best aspects of the game. The economy should be based on a free market not your personal morals. Everyone in the game has the option of investing the effort and skill points in becoming a doctor and can buff themselves.

See, you too are part of the free market. But what about those that think undercutting fellow doctors is wrong? Should their views dictate your game play?

Lol on dant While you stand around for a half hour some one is paying the doc 50k to jump to the start of the line lol the way i see it you can get 40k or 50k for a buff people want to pay get there buff and go not stand around for an hour my buffs go for 40k alot of the time cause when you are out spinning 30k missins im running round looking for buff packs or res. and ohh please dont forget the 300 CPU meat last month you guys have charged us so much for junk to make buff packs we figure we can just claw it back so we do...... you can under cut thats fine cause you line fills fast and I end up getting the people that can pay for a 40k buff

Nice. I was gonna say something along the lines of, 'if you dont want the 25k buff on dant, pay the 8k in travel fees and go back to coronet for the 15k buffs'

If you want my buffs pay my price. If im going to stop what im doing to buff you and you are going to pay what i dictate. If there is another doc around go to them and leave me alone. Simple as that.
