I am not greedy. 50K for buffs is the same price a weaponsmith sells a T21 for, but he does not have to sit there for 2 minutes to make it for you the factory does it.
And if people are paying it why not? Don't generalize it as greedy because you do not know me.
On Gorath I have given out well over 100 million worth of things to people.
50K per buffs outside of a major planet is a deal. 2 Mokk missions or 2 Janta missions pay for it.

I am with Ashine, if you dont want them dont buy them. Kinda like buying avian meat. If you dont want to pay 100 or higher cpu then dont. Get it yourself or buy from someone else more reansonable. We are always going to see docs charging inflated prices. Why. Because there are people that are going to pay it. If a demand for a service is presant, there is going to be a supply somewhere.

Looks like I am not needed in this thread as Mordoc has been smacked down enough.

The first thing I'm greeted by is some doc buffing spam. Much to my amazement instead of the small premium vs. cost of buffs at Coronet in the Chilastra galaxy...they tagged on a gouging premium. 25k buffs. ARE YOU KIDDING ME??? All of you who participate in that should be ashamed. High mission payouts or not on Dantooine. I'm a day 1 vet, it's attrocious to see that kind game play. Any time I see that, count on me undercutting you guys. Profit is profit. You don't need to be like the giant greedy corporations of the real world and need vast amounts of profit. It's a game, help make it more enjoyable for other players. Flame me if you will, but gouging like that is just horrible.
Thanks for the laugh!!
I don't buff cause of people like you! I don't heal wounds cause of people like you! I don't cure conditions cause of people like you! I've had people offer me 100k for a buff when other doc's are not available and I have always refused.I'm Docto provide support to my friends and guild mates only - all thanks to the the Mordoc's in the community!
Interesting how you find fewer Doc's providing services nowadays!
Thanks you Mordoc!
Took me 6 months before I could make good buffs and millions in resources -- 25k is nothing! People that ask 10k for buffs are doing the community a free service!

How do you figure that, at 10k I would still be making more then 100% profit. I charge 12k and feel bad about going that high.

chop off roughly 4k from that price for airfare not spent going to cororet and now the buff price is about 21k. take about another 10k out for the average price (i know some are more, some are less) now you've got 11k that you say is gouging. For this game, 11k is nothing, and many are happy to pay it so they don't spend the TIME to go to coronet. I know for me and my limited play time, 15 minutes > 11k.

Yesterday, on Ahazi, I was the only MD in the Dantooine MO for about 20min. I was getting tells offers of 50k. I never advertised, not once - I never said a word.
I simply stood there, droid out, in the middle of MO wearing my Master Doctor tag - /afk'd myself and continued talking to my friend. Since I wasn't replying to people they would send me tells, to which they received my afk message...
"Due to repeated greifing of my Medical Droid, I no longer buff in public. If I know you exceptions can be made"
It is amazing how much cash someone is willing to "donate" so that you know them.
Never dropped a buff, I healed a ton of people (diseases/poisons and wounds) but not a single buff. What I found quite interesting, not one hate tell. They respected (I guess) my stance due to idiots griefing med droids.
The way I see it, people are at MO for one purpose and 1 purpose only - money missions. 25k is not gouging, not even close. OTOH 25k in a place like Bestine....that's gouging.
Supply and demand my friends, supply and demand.
In a place like MO we have supply and there is a high demand. Without buffs there are no solomoney missions, 25k is downright reasonable

I agree that a price of 25k is insane.
Why?
When people are paying a paultry 12k to go and make MILLIONS OF CREDITS, on something they COULDNT DO WITHOUT BUFFS, that is stupid.
I garauntee that if there were some new weapon that let people solo 35k missions, people would buy it without reservation, even if it cost 2,000,000 credits. Its just that docs have to deal with crap that makes buff prices so low.
Its morons that think they need a 3 hour 2600 point buff on a starter planet, that are part of the problem. You dont need that good of a buff on a starter planet! Spoiled ass people wouldnt take anything less anyway. God forbid I offer economy buffing at 1400 for 5k, people would whine that my buffs sucked.
You dont need a krayt scout blaster to hunt gnorts, dont need top of the line med buffs to do so either.

Well said! And I think that with the sudden drop in public buffing doctors recently, it should be expected that buff prices will rise. Players are just taking advantage of opportunity, not taking advantage of players.

I also don't see why you wasted your time posting this in here.
You yourself said you'd undercut his price. So did you?
If a Doctor sits around and barks, "100k for buffs! +2300 for 3 hours!" and some other Doctor barks, "10k for buffs! +2700 for 4 hours!" - I'll bet the 10k Doc will have a HUGE line. But, the 100k Doc won't. There will most definitely be players who "just want to play already" and will just pony up the dough. The Doctor provided a service, fora fee, and a player was willing to pay it - so what's the freakin problem? Both people win.
Now, if the 100k Doctor NEVER got customers, well then they wouldn't charge 100k for very long now, would they?
The bottom line is, if I want to charge 4 million credits for a Chance Cube, by God I will. Whether or not someone will pay it...well, that dictates whether I'll keep my price that high.

250cpu Avian - 100-150 cpu Herb - 100cpu Class 4 - Time it takes to make these things - sitting around doing nothing but hitting buff macro (priceless) --and if I wasn't so lazy I could go into more detail and add tons more costs to making these things -- someone probably will though. 10k for a buff is not worth my time but I don't have hours to sit at a starport buffing either. Nor would I waste the few hours I get to play doing so.
