Ok, recently I was buffed to the hilt by a master doc and went hog wild killing NPC's until the buffs wore out, after that I learned thatI had about 300-600 wounds in each attrib so I ran to the catina then to the med center, where a doctor nicely healed my Health Action and Mind bars, but didnt touch the rest, I asked him if he could heal all the wounds, and it seemed like an inconvienience to be asking for healing in all pools, I have had other docs as well have this same problem. Is this a growing fad of just healing the hit point wounds but leaving the regen and power pools to rot? Is it really that much more to heal the rest of them as well? Or are some docs just not using /dia?

Thanks for your time

I have found that alot of docs don't heal the attributes for some reason. They don't even have any of those medpacks made up. I personally will heal people fully and can't stand when docs leave your secondaries to rot.

Since health & action are the most popular, it makes sence to make lots of packs and if they have any secondary wounds, ask them to see someone else.

I usually carry one or two B packs for the secondary wounds, and about 3 or 4 of health & action.

Its not ignorance, its simlpy easier.

I carry 1 - 2 packs for all stats, and a couple extras for health/action as those are the only ones hit with cloaning wounds.

I always check for secondary wounds, and will often heal those first as others work on the action/health.

For me, I'll usually heal one bar and if you don't tip or respond in any way that's all I'll be healing. Not sure if that was the case, but it's something to consider.

Health/action are also the two most common types of wounds so most docs carry many more woundpacks for those stats. Anything stat with less that 20 wounds isn't worth the time/lost chargefor most docs either and you won't notice much reduction in effectiveness with that level of wounds.

You didn't give much specifics so these are just possibilities.

It really depends on the doctor really. When I was climbing (read "grinding) up the med xp trees I had a good supply of ever single wound pack on me (why use a C pack when an A will do?). Anyhow once I moved out of the med center there is not such a requirement to always have these on me. If I am going to go to the med center for awhile or if i know that I am going to be doing some healing I will be sure to have a full supply of wound packs, but not all docs do this. Sometimes it can be a pain to sit for 30 minutes+ making a full supply of packs when I would rather be on some adv planet selling enhancements. In the end it depends on the doctor what what their priorities are. I personally give FULL heals when I heal people, but it does not surprise me to hear what you are saying (unless you were tipping....in that case I would be surprised that a doc would not fully heal you).

Just to clear it up, I spoke to the doc the moment he healed the first bit of my health, we even talked about how my wounds came to be, so it wasnt because I wasnt talking, and my wounds were serious, I am talking at LEAST 300 in each attrib (cept for the blues because I had already gone to the catina) it was just that he had none made because he had to make them while I was there.

I just find it odd that someone wouldnt have them all made and want all my gushing exp, he wasnt a master doc yet, just a novice doctor so I figured my experience would be good lol

Just boggles my mind that he wasnt even going to heal those wounds until I said something about it.

Kind of like going to a real doc with a broken arm and leg, and having the Doctor tell you he is going to heal the arm, but you are out of luck for the leg lol

It's possible the he/she didn't have the appropriate resources, tool or station on hand to craft the items. And even if he/she did, to take the time to craft the items while other patients may be readily available for xp might have been the priority.

It did not catch whether or not you TIPPED the healer. Sure they may habe beena novice doc (some master's walk around with novice medic on BTW) - but I, and I am sure a few other docs, would like to know if you paid for this service (the health heal).

Awaiting your response

Thank you

As a matter of fact I did tip the doc, 1000 credits to this particular doctor, would have been more, but I had just recently paid for my harvesters and my house and factory and that was all I had, but I felt it was a pretty decent tip.

I didnt know I would be under a magnifying glass for posting my curiosity here, wether or not I tipped shouldnt be an issue because I was curious if this was standard practice or not.

I don't heal wound amounts under 50 points. I always /diagnose, but unless your secondaries are wounded over 50 points I probably will ignore them. The hospital itself heals 10 wound points in all categories every 5-10 mins or something, doesn't it? No way I'm going to waste an E pack charge or cost myself wounds from /tendwound if you're not really hurt.

Well my reason for asking (about the tip) isthat some doc'sprovide the first heal for free, and 1) ask whether the patient will be tipping or 2) flat out ask for payment up front. Being that you did tip this doc 1K I for onethink that you have a reasonable expectation ofservice.. other than what Iconsider thepartialheal you received. Yet then again "the why" can only be answered by the doc that treated you. I for one would have healed you to full, after being tipped, as I am suremany others would have. If I didn't have the packs,I wouldhavecrafted a fewA's to treat you OR provide some sort ofexplanation as to why I couldn't treat you further. There have been comments as to the possibly that thisdoc didnt have the packs or the resources to treat yoursecondariesie -no resources, no packs ect.. Ihave never had this problem, well other than when I was a novice medic almost 7 weeks ago and was given my starting resources by another player.

Who knows there are always two sides to a story but Iwould compare this to tipping an entertainer on entering a cantina... the entertainer thanking me for the tip... and then leaving 10 seconds later with little or noexplanation. I would certainly feel a bit ripped off and have a lower tolerancefor those that complain that "entertainers get no tips". Who knows.

Anyhow like I said I suspect that only the doc that treated you can give you the answer you seek.
