Thread: Doctors and the 3 bars..
I personally will /diagnose also. anything under 20 i will not heal until i am all finished with the more damaged attributes. If the med cntr has not taken care of it by then I will usually be nice and heal the rest. This of course does depend on a few things. And I am not talking about the tip either. Although i usually get taken advantage of, I will not heal secondary wounds if you go AFK the minute I start healing you. More then likely you will be there long enough for it to take care of itself. Since I am still grinding away at the XP I really can't turn it down...but I play an interactive game for...guess what...INTERACTION! Also i will not heal minor secondary attribute wounds if there is a Novice Medic or Master Medic around. When i am healing 200+ a shot they don't have much shot for the xp. I have even been known to give them a secondary wound pack to help them along.

It did not catch whether or not you TIPPED the healer. Sure they may habe beena novice doc (some master's walk around with novice medic on BTW) - but I, and I am sure a few other docs, would like to know if you paid for this service (the health heal).
Awaiting your response ![]()
Thank you
Sorry, I looked at the title and thought it was about that old parable...
"And then the Doctor found this Woundpack-C, which was way too big. He then found a Woundpack-A, but it was just too small. But the Woundpack-B was juuuuuuust right."
I usually just made A-level packs on the spot. Secondary wounds weren't autoinduced in quantity like clone wounds, so that did just fine. However, I bet a lot don't carry them for space reasons. I still have inventory problems on occasion, even witha backpack.
"I just find it odd that someone wouldnt have them all made and want all my gushing exp, he wasnt a master doc yet, just a novice doctor so I figured my experience would be good lol"
Not everyone is driven by the need for xp. For medics its really irrelevent, beyond the mindset of more is better. After all, the only thing xp helps a medic/doc do is heal other people better.
Additionally, many docs have already reached their design skill buildout. I provide action and health woundpacks to several doctors. They don't bother with substats at all, leaving that for others. Personally I think its a little weird, but I do know it happens. These guys all have as many skills in doctoring that they want.
Hey Leaddore,
Just throwing my two credits in here after reading the rest of the posts in this thread.
Since hitting Master Doctor, I haven't been rushing into Med Centers that often, unless I'm with someone, like RL friends or ingame friends and they need some serious help. But, when I do go into Med Centers....
1) If I see any other medics in there, especially flashing "Novice Medic", I'll usually ask them if they want the exp points. I have yet to have one turn me down. In one instance, I was letting a novice medic heal my friend (at an excruciatingly slow rate, must have been woundpack A's), when a couple other wounded folks came in. Because I wanted to get my friend healed up prior to his logging, I asked the novice medic if he would hit the other two, so I could get my friend, and again, he was really nice about it (although actually, what choice did he have as I could have healed all three in the time it took him to get a woundpack applied twice?)
2) When I am in a healing situation, especially with Master Doctor flashing, someone's going to give me some kind of tip, especially when I usually just carry E's with me, and an occassional C. If someone comes in with the kind of wounds you had, I will zap the first one, and see what kind of reaction I get. Unless the person appears to be really new to the environment (and I do usually look for the newbie outfits), I better see at least 100 credits. Who doesn't have 100 credits? I'm not healing specifically for money, but I want to see something. Then, I will proceed and heal everything else. I know some Master Docs have specific amounts they want to see (and I honestly can't blame them), but I just want to see SOMETHING.
3) If for some reason I can't heal everything a person has (whether it's because I'm not carrying the meds on me, or I have to log right then, etc.) I always explain to the patient what is going on, and if they HAVE tipped me anything, I usually give it back, so they can tip someone who finishes the job.
Like someone else said, wish I knew the other doctor's side of the story, but I guess we won't. You tipped 1000, which in my case entitles you to a full heal anyway, but keep doing it. There are more of us out there who'll treat you right than will treat you wrong.
Good hunting!
Alot of people whine about healing secondary attributes, and when I do a /diagnose, they have maybe 2-3 wounds at most... no matter what you think, those 2-3 wounds arent worth a woundpack use.
Come back when you have over 10.
