hello,
i know a lot of people complain about buff prices....and there's many opinions on what they should be..and i'm not sure how they are from server to server.....i charge 15k....and i don't get any complaints...when i start going higher...20-30k..thats when i get people complaining...but, what do i do..i ignore them...don't listen to those kind of people...its those kind of people that complain about everything.....but, i think for the most part..people don't mind paying even if its 20-30k...i mean..its for 3hrs or more..even if you run 10k missions....you can make that back fast....its not like their out a lot of money...they're just jelous cause we're making good money..and frankly sometimes its not that good.....but, all in all...when i'm buffing...i'm taking time out from doing the things i want to do..to help out the guys that are sittin at starports with no doctors....so i think its fair when you put it this way.......bivoli+buffs+batteries+droids+brandy+time= 15-30k reasonably...and if your line gets too long...havla....and i've even seen people having a vip line..now this is my opinion..i don't see much wrong with having a vip line if someone is willing to fork out 50k so they can get their buff faster....but, then again be prepared to hear the complainers.....there's a lot of complainers in this game..and for the most parts its cause this game reaches in the ages of 14-18yrs of age...a lot of the complainers are kids....so..i don't even bother with complainers..it only makes me up tight..and i sit at the game to unwind and have fun..... i think they are complaining cause doctors are making money but its a time cousming problem
casue people can do 40 to 50k mission on dathomir

I accually think what people are upset about isnt the cost of the buff...its the wait in the line. Which we can do nothing about.
Halva only works for 2 people then its gone. If we take it again...we risk overfilling our stomach for when we need biv.
The problem really lies with the fact it takes 2 mins a person for a full buffset(not counting posion and disease buffs)
Most people look at it like the 15 mins or so that they have to wait in line is 2-6 missions that they could have run(60-180k). That is where the money factor really comes into play. Ifthe time for buffs went down to 1 min a person...lines would be a lot shorter...if there at all(maybe 2-3 ppl) at that time charging 20-30k would be reasonable due to the time you jsut saved the customer.
I am in now way suggesting that we need the times for buffing altered...All I am offering is a different perspective on things

thats why i use a skip line price. if they are really worried about having to wait in line, pay me 50k and you can. after all, for that extra 15 mins, they should have made enough to make up for the extra cost of buffs.

great.. and those ppl who paid 10 min ago gets bumped back over and over again becuase the skipeprs pay awful lot..
what if onyl skiperps pay.. then you got the line thign back...
i nevr do queueskips... so ppl know when tehy pay that their turn will come for sure... regardless how mcuh ppl offering for queuejumps.. and with my havla i can cler up 20 ppl in less than 5 min anyway.
in my bio i even state that i can almost guarant (yop, only almost) await time of less than 10 min. and its not that often that iam above 10 min wait time

i do have people complaing about long lines..but, they understand that there's really nothing we can do about it.....besides a little havla....and i agree the devs should do something about it...but on the other hand...with the shortage of doctors at some times lines get long......i always thought that if you keep people informed by letting them know how long your line is and what spot they are in line..they don't complain and by keeping a straight line makes it much easier to find people and get buffs faster...i had a line the other day for the first time in all my doc career and believe me...everyone got their buffs faster....if you just macro where they need to form line and have it macro every 30seconds and make talk to people about moving in a line...people will do it.....but i understand...i have an alternate account and he's not a doc and sometimes i would be a little frustrated if i had to wait too long in line for a buff....but, on the other hand i would go get in line and just leave, go do something for about 15 minutes come back and i have my buff....the people that complain a line don't get as harrassing as the guys that complain about buff prices..i've had guys just come up and call me names and say your greedy just cause of that.....there's a lot of imaturaty in this game.....not much respect for people...some guys take this game to seriously and kinda ruin the fun for others....

Dude it's not that people complain about the money(some do), it's the fact that some of us doctors (not me) get so caught up in the monopoly of buffing that we think we can just up the cost to something ridiculous. I think YES we should probably charge more that 10k maybe right at 15K, it's reasonable. Just think of all the other professions that have a monopoly on certain things, what if they decided that they should double or triple there prices because they can, it would just be insane. What if dancers charged 10k for healing BF now wouldn't that such. Remember a lot of things get effected when you try to skyrocket prices....sometimes it bites you in the butt later.
Bottom line i agree prices for buffs should maybe be higher than they are, but not 30k-40k that's stupid.

I dont do lineskips either.
About 3 weeks ago..i had a line of about 5 ppl...there were 2 other docs with similar lines too. I got a /tell feom some guy asking if I would let him skip for 50k. I told him I dont do line skips, as I dont feel it is fair to the people that had already paid me. I guess he was asking the other doctors also..because he comes back and asks me if I would do it for 100k. I again told him no that it isnt fair to the others in my line already. about 2 mins later he asks me if I would let him skip for 500k ...lol By this time...the line I had originally had was gone and all the people in my line were new people. I told him that it isnt about the money...and I also told him that if he would have just gotten in line I would have buffed him by now because my original line was gone.
People like this make me laugh. They waste more time and money trying to get ahead than if they would have just gotten in line and waited patiently for the 10 mins.
I swear next time something like this happens I am going to take a screenshot for proof that idiots like this really do exist.

Just to add, as a swordsman aspiring to become Dr (soon).
I never mind paying 50k to line skip.
Whoever made the comment is totally right. In the time it'd take me to wait for you to buff lets say 5 people, and then buff me. I could do probably 4 missions and make 120k.
So, I say, you guys go on charging whatever the hell you feel like. If people don't wanna pay it then they can kill nuna's unbuffed.

Yeah I hate people who want lineskipped for more money. The only time I let people jump if it is a dancer who wants a quickness buff and then I usually give it to them for free. If they ask nice.

What if doctors charge for healing. Most Doctors once they Master don't worry much about tips from healing. We could if we wanted to, I'm sure some do.
The thing to remember about entertainers, they have zero expenses if you don't include travel fare. They may have start up costs if they want to get BE clothes, but it costs them nothing to buff....NOTHING. A stat migrated entertainer can flourish all night long without the need for a heal.
Yet the going price for entertainer buffs are 5k per buff type. Whereas Doctors must pay for/harvest resources or buy outright the pack or ingredients to perform buffs. It costs us credits to make the buffs(resources), it costs us credits to perform the buffs(bivoli/havla/batteries- although batteries is not alot but still an expense).
Doctors are an easy target when it comes to complaining, why does noone complain to/about the entertainers? - oh wait nevermind, they are almost all afk
