Yes Entertainers have zero cost to them, aside from a nominal start-up cost. Generally just clothes, stat migration, and some instruments which do not degrade. Beyond that their only expense is travel.
So yes zero cost. If a complete entertainer buff is accepted at a price of 10k, then Doctor buffs which last longer and give a greater boost are way underpriced.
However Doctor's are an easy target because they are 99% live players in contrast to the 80% afk buff bot entertainer (numbers are from my experience).

As Doctors we are being charged an 'arm and a leg' for resources to make buffs. People do this because they see us raising prices on buffs whenever the wind blows.....seriously people it's ridiculous. Raising prices is stupid. now, if someone wants to pay 40k for a line cut buff, well i say take it, but don't advertise 30-50k buffs. Like I said before, it will always come back to haunt "US"

My alts a Doc... I gave up public buffing along long time ago.. Even now I can say line skipping isn't agood thing... It only pisses people off more.. At the skipper, and at you the doc. and rightfully so.. sure that a matter of opoin.. 
To complainers.. I always have the same answer.. No matter what the profession... Don't like the way its done. Then Master it yourself. Problem sloved 
Now you know why I am a doc No lines, No BS from the other customers, or the docs.. And as a Guild only doc. I buff guild memebers only or there freinds... I don't need to charge... A Self buff and afew hours on Dant takes care of any cost invloed with buying buff packs

Well I think charging 15 k for a 2400-2500 buff 3.3 hrs isvery cheap, look at all the sologroups on Dantooine where you can make over 30k a mission,think of what you can make in 3,3 hours! I also noticed that people are willing to pay a lot more for shorter Q's.

NIVIK ( Halva only works for 2 people then its gone. )
Secret ill give ya is when u see The message of being able to buff again do it right then when u take halva u can keep buffing till ur mind runs out aslong as u buff right after u get the message even after halva is gone.
I buffed 33 people doing it one time i ran out of mind or i coulda kept going dont know if it would be considered a exploit but just lettin you guys know it can be done

This is what I charge.
Female Imperials - 5k
Male Imperials - 10k
Female Neutral/Rebels - 15k
Male Neutral/Rebels - 20k
Vip - 75k (This includes line-skip, havla, and janta buffs)
I hardly never get VIPs but when I do the people don't complain because I havla it. So far there hasn'tbeen a time when stomach is a problem with havla because I don't get that many people who pay it. There is also a drink that increases stomach digestion. With my mind stats already maxed I don't need canape to buff.
I get rebels paying the 20k for buffs and minamal complaining. For the complainers I warn them once then /addignore.

Ok, I just had to chime in.
I don't buff the public, at least almost never. The only time I do is when people see me buffing me and my PA and ask if I am buffing.
My standard reply is: "Sorry I don't buff the public". They ALWAYS ask again, to which I reply "50k" or "100k".
They reply with "50/100k!! Wow, are you serious?" and I tell them. "I do not have my tag up,I do not buff the public, I am still talking to you because you have not been rude to me, and to be honest, that is what my time and buff packs are worth to me. If you don't want to pay, Coronet is only 5k on your speeder and another 3-5k in shuttle tickets away, have fun."
You would be amazed how many people buy buffs for that price, especially out in the Villiage on off hours. It is weird, it sets precident for that session and i usually end up buffing 3-4 people for 50-100k.
Now I am not trying to pull this as a scam, in fact the less people that ask me the happier I am, but it does illustrate that there are a lot of people willing to pay well if the demand is there and you are saving them a lot of time and effort by spending a bit of your time.
Then again, there are always those demanding people that will start to curse and swear as soon as they pay and I start to buff. At that point I use a 2 hr Janta buff on their Health only(my Corvette buffs, all power, no duration ) then tip them back and tell them to go to Cnet. Of course the docs at Cnet can't beat the Janta buff and thier health runs out a good hour - 2 hours before the others...rude people will never learn that us smart ones will always overcome them.

ok now i have to say something about that alyxian.
That is messed up. if you dont want to buff then simply say no i dont buff the public or whatever u say. You shouldnt make people pay more because you're an idiot......err i mean because you dont feel like buffing them.
I am a master doc and i occassionally buff the other players in the game, and you know what i charge? WHATEVER THEY WANT TO PAY. and everyone i buff pays me in a range from 10k - 20k. if they dont want to pay that's fine i dont need the credits, there are other ways of making money then over charging for buffs. And yes i get people who dont pay but that'smostly because i tell them not too.
People shouldnt have to pay15k or 20k , or however much upeople charge, just because you say so. it's not right.
The doctors that charge that much are just greedy. Plain and simple.

well..another good point forgot......the prices should also reflect the time and money spent in the grind...i know its not much...couple hundred k of resources...but, we're mastering 2 professions just to get doc..only leaving one profession left to master.......

it takes 1 and a half min per person with no waiting hehe.. but from what i read, which granted wasn't all of it, i totally agree.
(people never complain about my prices, i reccomend any docs who cant take the complaining to switch to them.... i buff for a big fat 0 )

I agree with your first part "if you dont want to buff then simply say no i dont buff the public or whatever u say" the rest is just utter crap to me. If a person chooses not to buff, andanother person is persistant at buggingthem for a buff even afterthey told himthey ARENT buffing,Thenthey decide to take time out ofthierplaystyle to buffthis person,who obviously cant go without a buff, they can charge 1m credits if they want. The person needing the buffs is NEVER obligated to pay it. they have the choice of moving on to another Dr. who is charging much less. No ones makingthem pay a high price. its THIER choice

glad to see you are well off as to where you can just throw credits away. but I highly doubt most people can afford to just simply spend a ton of money and not make anything back from that investment. I spend millions upon millions to buy the resources to make nice packs. And I guess people like you think I should SPEND my millions to make YOUR gameplay better so you can go solo-group your arse off and MAKE millions off of my millions I had to SPEND huh?

this one made me laugh. 15k-20k is a friggin bargain for a good buff. I can uderstand people being upset if I was charging that much and only had buffs that hit for 1400. But to get my 2620 / 3.5 hour buffs, you are damn right they should cost at LEAST that. People are lucky they arent costing more with the rising price of avian and herbi meats used to make these.
I dont know if you make your own packs but the money I have to spend on resources alone makes my profit margin a lot smaller than you think it is. You also dont seem to think the hours and hours and hours I spend making shcematics, (yes I keep experimenting until they are perfect) and the time it takes to make all the sub components, then more shcematics, loading and unloading factories, surveying, running harvesters, the money and power used to run these things and all of that, is worth anything at all. Well I disagree.. I take time out of whats fun for me to do this for the people who buy my products AND service, becuase I care about my customers, and want them to get the best of my efforts. I guess I could half-arse things and NOT make quality meds and then I can charge the measly 8k per buff and just about break even. But I wont.

The only greed I see is people that arent willing to make a 15-20k investment to go and make 1m or so off of it doing missions.
and btw. I NEVER buff the public so my opinion isnt bias toward buffing docs.

The whole idea behind it is... a) I'm not buffing b) you want a buff c) if I buff you when I'm not prepared I have stop what I'm doing put on the BE clothes... change toolbars... drink brandy... take bivoli... call out the droid d) if I simply say no the customer will usually persist....
soooo.. when I'm asked to buff when my tag is not up and I'm not buffing I say 50K for rebs/neutrals 20K for imps straight up. They either pay or walk away without a word other then no thanks. Saves me the time of using /addignore.

At 10k a pop public buffing is a waste of time. The cost of Biv and bivoli are high. I charge 15k (Which I think is very fair for 2500+ for 3hrs)if I am buffing in public it is the only way to make it even close to worth it. Which I don't like to do people always cry about everything and it gets annoying. I can make far more money in a Solo group running missions for 30+k a pop in no time flat.
Special exceptions
Like the one dude said, If i am in the middle of nowhere buffing my self and some guild mates and some fool starts bugging me from buff I tell them 50k unless I know and or like them. People pay ti if they dont want to deal with going to coro. They will even pay more most of the time.
Dirty Imps who I know are gonna use their buffs for evil must pay absorbant outrageuos prices.
