Thread: Attn: What NOT to ask a doctor....
One that always perplexes me is when I get a request for buffing while I'm sitting around the starport when there are tons of other doctors advertising for buffing. I just wonder why they chose to take the time to do a search instead of just stopping by the starport entrance.
The one that really gets me riled up is "train me." I have no problem and in fact need the ap usually but people who just flat out demand get nowhere fast.
Client: R U Buffing?
Me: Can You Spell?
Client: how good r your buffs?
Me: Better than not very good.
Client: how long r they?
Me: Longer than my attention span.
Client: how much
Me: as much as you'll pay me for them.
Client: U take bank tips?
Me: In God We Trust, All Else Pay Cash.
Client: Ur buff suck. I want some of my money back.
Me: Whine to Ralph Nader, I'm busy.
Seriously, though with all the scamming going on, I hate hate "Will you accept a bank tip?". I mean, if you're informed enough to ask, why aren't you carrying cash for services.
I get, can you heal my wounds? They have like 3 or 4 in every stat
I just think that is cause they are n00b. I remember when I had wounds I thought, "Oh man, I better get these taken care of!" Then one day a doctor explained to me that they were to small to waste meds on and that they would go away soon, and most importantly that they are so smal that they wont have an impact on my hunting. I apologised, felt like an idiot for buggin all those docs before her, and thanked her for the information. How else will people learn?
I know it gets old telling peeps the same thing all the time, but new players join all the time and many may just not know.

This is more of an event then it is a question. I'm at a player city and nota doc in sight...well besides myself. There are a lot of people hunting, and they wanted me tot ake time out of my hunting to buff them. *Mind you I wasnt even wearing my Master Doc tag or any medical tag for that matter* So I charged them 12k for 2.3 buffs that last 3 hours seeing as I had to take time out of my hunting. So they complained that I was overcharging them. Ok does it not make sense to inflate your price a little since I am pulling 99 level missions to solo, getting 30k a mission and in the time it takes me to buff 1 person I could have completed a mission. Not to mention I seemed to be the only Doc in the entire area.
That just bugged me, as well as everything you guys have said so far.
But the worst is "can you buff" my reply is always "If I couldnt then I wouldnt waste my time being a Master Doc"

Whenever someone asks me to heal their wounds and they're all below 10, I just say "I'm sorry, but you have no significant wounds." they usually say "ok" and move on.
Whenever I buff, its almost always on Coronet. The question that bugs me the most are these two:
"Are you buffing?" No, I'm just sitting in front of the starport, with a surgical droid, with a 10+ person line so they can all look at my pretty droid! Not only that, but there are also TWO other docs buffing - art thou blindeth?
"Where are you?" The place docs always buff all the time, THE STARPORT!
This one gets me too:
"If I pay you 25k, will you let me in the front of the line?" No, for several reasons. When I'm in the starport, it's usually a bit hectic... spam, other doctors' lines and customers talking, etc... and I already have like a 10+ person line. So it'd be a pain for me to have to accept the money, explain to everyone that he paid me to get forward... and if I let him do it, others may ask and it'd just be one big mess - not only that but those who'ved waited at the end may be cut off if I had limited buffs.
more fast just carry crap action/stamina for free buff entertainers, if u are a real doc u do it.
if one guy want a wound heal, i do it.
if one guy want a rez and me nearby and can do on moderate risk i do it.
i can seea lot docs atm no carryng cures (disease, posion, dizzye, etc) no woundpacks, no rezpacks. Atm is to many doc-bot buffers, only carryng buff packs for make money.
Yes the flood tells in populated areas is hell, thats is cause U ARE A SUPPORT class, and ppl want u. If can manage that just move on. The support class role its not for u.
I love that things, yes i love when ppl ask for wound-heals on a 15 ppl line for buffs, i love when one entertainer get close just to get a action buff, i love when other doc invite u for train, i love when ppl try scam u on a banktip, i love when noob ask for a cure disease, i love when ppl not understand why need heal BF under 250 after get a buff, etc...
I love all of those things, is fun
