The ones that bug me are the RUDE DOCTORS like some of you!!! my god some of those replies are a bit much, yeah I know when you have a big line it can be difficult but not everyone speaks English as there first, and not everyone is above 13 yrs of age.

If you cant be civil then just dont reply just ignore, after all with the ammount of new Doc's running around people are begging to be a little more choosy.

I just think that is cause they are n00b. I remember when I had wounds I thought, "Oh man, I better get these taken care of!" Then one day a doctor explained to me that they were to small to waste meds on and that they would go away soon, and most importantly that they are so smal that they wont have an impact on my hunting. I apologised, felt like an idiot for buggin all those docs before her, and thanked her for the information. How else will people learn?

I know it gets old telling peeps the same thing all the time, but new players join all the time and many may just not know.

I usually do a /ex on the guy and if he has no badges, no bio and no title, then he's probably a newbie, and I will let them know. I've gotten that line from someone with 10 master badges (one was Medic). I just told him that by the time I could get to him, his wounds would be gone if he went to the med center.

I get the "Are you Buffing?" all the time, which is fine. But I have a big BLL droid named BuffsForSale standing right next to me. And I'm hitting my info macro stating that I'm buffing, with stats, duration, price, no bank tips, etc....

My personal nightmare is

Noobtard: Hi, can you just buff my action?

Me: I'm sorry mate, i only buff full sets. Its only 10k (a steal for 2400-2500 buffs) Why don't you take a full set?

Noobtard: I just want my action buffed. I'll pay you 2k for it. Can you do it now?

Me: Hey man, I apologise again, I only do full sets.....(Starting Slow Boil)

Noobtard: Is it my turn yet?

Me: ... i don't do single buffs mate.(no kidding i do not have macro messages because i prefer to give my own personal response)

Noobtard: HEY!! I'M TALKING TO YOU!!! GIMME MY ACTION BUFF!!!!

Me: As I repeat sir, I do not do single buffs. I have exactly the same number of buffs for each set. and what would I do with 5 left and one action missing?

Noobtard: I don't care, What kind of a doctor are you if you can't treat your patients effectively? (No Kidding, that nearly made me spit out my coffee, but i have a high patience threshold)

Me: I'm sorry, find someone else. Most of my customers have found my buffs to be more than satisfactory. (Slow Boil - Percolate)

Noobtard: You're the lousiest doctor i've ever seen. What kind of a f**k type are you. All i'm asking for is an action buff so that I can go dance.

Me: all right buddy, you say i'm lousy. [Goes to spatial] ANYONE HERE DISSATISFIED WITH MY BUFFS? (Percolate - Simmer)

General Population: (in various responses) Get the hell out of here noobtard. (yahoo!!!!)

And then later on Dathomir, the same noobtard goes : Can you buff me?

Needless to say my reply was NO

What can we do about such people.....?

I've taken to carrying around a set of realy crappy buffs and when asked for a set of buffs on an advanced planet where I am hunting I will meet the person and trade a single shot of every stat. Then if they realy want me to buff them the price is 75k. I don't mind buffing for that price even when I am hunting.

As to the people who want to jump to the head of the line I calculate the number of the people in line times 10k and that is the price to jump to the head of the line. (i.e. 10 people in line = 100k for the price) Then I tell everyone in line that this guy just bought them all buffs so he goes next. I didn't recieve a complaint either of the two times that the guy actualy took me up on it. (10k is my general price for buffs, as I only buff when there is one doc with a huge line or no docs at all.)

I don't buff... I'm a doctor, I heal wounds. I'm amazed at the amount of doctors that have no wound packs or anything except buffs. I carry around a full backpack of pretty much every kind of medicine in the game, I have no room for buffs. Seems like everyone is in this game to make money so they can buy fancy armor or holocrons or whatever... I play the game the way it was intended, no macros, no buffs, just healing.

I rarely buff for the public, just too many bad experiences. But, i like to wear the tag during pvp. I've recieved several tells from the other side asking if i'll rebuff after they've been killed

although not too funny, i just mastered doc today and my first big job i was asked to perform was to give this guy buffs. I had literally mastered like 10 minutes before he asked me so i was still in the process of straigtening out a few things. So i replyed with a friendly message stating that i just mastered and had not yet acquired buffs or even my medical droid. He still persisted by offering to buy the buffs himself....then have me apply them, and he would pay me 20k to do so! so i was like, well i can't have the 110% i would with the droid, but heck knock yourself out. So i then recieve a message while im working with a master droidengineer getting my R2 unit all crafted that he can't find anywhere to buy them, so he just thanked me and said he'd go try coronet. Man, that was only one person in a 5 min time span. can't wait till tomorrow when i have 20 people sitting waiting for buffs and 15 others trying to locate me, find out how much to get in line, or to even ask me if im doing buffs. Man, looks like i know now what its like to be on the opposite site of both the medical and combat worlds.

Uh yes, I'm sure there are plenty of rude doctors in the swg universe, but the numbers of rude players greatly outweigh them. I am perfect happy to heal someone's wounds, or buff them, if they are polite about it, and am not in the middle of something too time consuming. BUT, most of the time people are just plain rude, and exhibit themselves to be ignorant people with no comprehension of common courtesy. For example, I was on dantooine the other day sitting in town buffing myself to go out and do some missions, when a guy comes up and stands in front of me. I continue buffing myself, get up, and go the the mission terminal. He then screams "HEY **edit**, WHY DIDN'T YOU BUFF ME DUMBASS". I wasn't even wearing a doctor title at the time, and had not said once that I was selling buffs. True being a doctor is a support class, but that doesn't mean that we should let players walk all over us. DOCTORS ARE PEOPLE TOO!!!!!

this is me being a jerk, but i remember when getting holocrons was all the rage right before the end of last year when some dead guy in the dant cave was asking me to rez him. i was with a partner of mine and i couldn't help but laughing. what good reason would i have to increase competition of my getting loots? although to fabricate some modicum of civility i just ignored the poor suckers tells and pleas. but did i ever just want to laugh in his face and tell him to enjoy the 10 minute trek back from the cloning facility, mind you, this was when having a kaadu was the fastest form of transportation. so what's the point?

do not ask a doctor to put your needs and wants in front of his/hers. the answer is likely to upset you and be a form of amusment for the doctor. we did not take any hippocratic oath to be doctors in this universe. your mockery in these posts will be lessened b remembering this.

Response: Nope...only master doc in the game that can't, thank you for calling.

Well, I noticed one of these in the weaponsmith forums, so I decided to make one for the doctor forums. However, this will not only be humorous, but it will alsobe a note to players of what really, REALLY pisses us doctors off. Now, besides "r u buffing", these are some of the most hated tells and questions I get:

1. "hey can u rez me?i forgot to clone" I usually get one of these while on an advanced planet (although occasionally on tatooine), and most of the time I'm either in the middle of killing a large mob of enemies, or in a dungeon. Usually when I forget to turn off my master surgeon tag, which I like to wear causeitsjust cool. I usually just reply with a flat "no", but if I'm feeling generous I say "give me your coordinates and I'll see what I can do, just let me finish this mob". This is usually followed by them giving coords that are 7k+ meters away. This is when it gets ugly. I say "sorry, that's too far away", and they usually reply with a "**edit** you". Now, what are we supposed to do, drop everything we're doing and travel 7k meters to rez someone who you don't know andprobably won't be very grateful anyway? I think not... TIP: Cloning. It helps. Nowadays there is a city near almost every POI anyway. I understand that every now and then you will forget to clone (hell I do it too), and if this is the case, please politely ask the doctor if they are near your location, and if they aren't, then you're just going to have to take some wounds. It doesn't hurt to give them a tip for rezzing you either. Resuscitationkits don't grow on trees ya know (well, most of them don't).

2. "hey" This is all they say. I usually never reply to these, which ends up in them giving me another tell, saying "hey" again. I ignore this also, and eventually I get a tell saying "HEY ARE YOU THERE OR NOT?!?!". This is about the time I /addignore the person.TIP: Don't give someone who you don't know/have never seen before that you want a service from a tell that just says "hey", they probably won't respond.

3. "do u have medic skills" I get this question several times a week, and every time I check to see if I'm wearing my master surgeon tag just to be sure I'm not crazy. Last time I told the guy "No, I don't have medic skills, I'm really a chef, this master surgeon tag I'm wearing is for operating on food. Give that canape four of ativan! Charge to 200! Clear!" The guy then said "o, ok, bye". I'm not kidding.

Feel free to post anything funny you have experienced as a doctor here, or anything you want people who may visit the doctor boards to know.
