What do you guys think? If an entertainer can have their own mission terminal, why not doctors? Entertainers sit in the cantina and heal Mind wounds, we sit in the Med Cneter healing HA wounds. They make tips, we make tips. So how come they get a terminal and we don't? I personally feel jipped for having to pull missions based on my fighting skill, when that's not the profession I've chosen to fill in this game. What do you guys think?

I just wanted to add a personal note. I just want to run missions and earn my pay just like everyone else. Healing for tips is so inconsitent and you can't really make people get hurt and drum up business when you're hurting for cash and need to buy supplies. A terminal would really help out for us to just grab some missions, go heal or whatever, and be able to make a living to make ends meet.

I know there's already another thread just like this, but I just want to make sure how important an alternative source of income is to the Medical Profession. Tipping doesn't cut it Devs. We got some "L33T D00Ds" on here that are cheap cheap cheap. And I've sacrificed my Pistoleer down to Pistol IV, and just can't make good money anymore running regular missions. I've also sacrificed Survey IV, which is extremely important to me just so I can have a poor excuse of an income. I NEED a new way to make money! You can't trust the kindness of strangers or fellow faction buddies for that matter. I for one have stopped going to the med center and using my skills that I've earned until I'm treated fairly. The only thing I'm gonna do for the Star Wars Universe in this game, is sell my buffs, period.

Partner upan elite melee, BH or Commando around on Endor doing 20k+ per mission.

You'll get your mad heal exp AND great cash.

Terminals, shmerminals. Do you really need to run 2000km to go heal Billy Blaster's cat's constitution wounds for 800cr?

it would be nice if there was some sort of terminal for us. just curious on how it would work though. maybe pick up a schematic and parts from an npc, like the artisan missions. then head somewhere to use the med on the final person. that way you get heal and craft xp, plus get paid for both. hmm

...just a small addendum to this:

I'd say that most folks agree that the doctor is a combat support class - no one gets hurt, we gots no one to buff or heal. We should be out there taking, or at least *on* combat missions.

Of course, some may argue that that's more the combat medic's job than a doc's job.

..but where does it stop?

Bio-engineer terminals?

Chef terminals?

I would dispute that - doctor has VERY VERY VERY few skills that are any good for a battle. Res bieng about the only good one.

Actually.... aside from a poison / disease cure which hardly ever comes into use, and buffs which are better for solo people and last so long you dont have to be with the person, I cant think of much else docs bring to the table.

All healing that docs do, is done on a medic level.

Also Id like to point out bieng a master doc is quite a bit different from a proffession like a chef - docs use up a ton more points than chefs do, and are further limited in secondary skills.

Drat for bieng no edit hehe.

Its a good idea for startign out docs but for masters whats the point we have alrdy gotten to teh top and r beginning to make money on our buffs. It took me a while to make master doc and i am happy to say i just recently made it on naritus and after one day of running around planting small harvesters i had the resources to make the adv components and buffs. And in just one days time i had all my money back and some. So yes this is good for novice doc and since there seams to be alot of docs now this is a good idea. As to the combat issue all of myfreinds tht play agree tht a doc is not a combat oriented profession but when im out there healing them, removing poison and disease on dangerous missions like on endor or reviving its priceless to not have to go through the 30 sec of disease where ur bars r reduced to 1.

Here here!!!! Please add Medic Mission Terminals. All other professions have mission terminals to suppliment their income. Medics should have one too.

1. We heal damage and wounds better, for more, and faster(rate)than any medic or combat medic around, hands down.

2. In a word, rez.

3. Cure poison.

4. Cure disease.

5. Cure states (Blind, Dizzy, Intimidate, Stun). These are *ranged*, 15m I believe, and on the same timer as damage healing.

3. Buffage (more of a prep than in-fighting, but it's best to bring your own doc on a raid and buff immediately priorraid as opposed to paying for a buff 30-45 mins before in a random med center).

No, we don't have the ranged heals like the CMs do, but getting within 5m of a patient isn't too tough. If they drop, rez 'em. In fact, most raids/hunts I'm healing the pets moreso than the players, as the majority are ranged fighters that Ive buffed the heck out of.

4. The majority of docs have *some* sort of combat skill to bring to the table, be it TKA, pistol, rifle, whatever. Not to mentionmany have pets/droids. Hey,that little rock beetle and probotprovide notableadditional damage/tanking, and hotkeying a pet attack button isn't too tough.

I doubt a doctor / medic terminal is the answer to our income problem.

I agree with Adagiogray, these missions would most likely involve a lot of time, a long walk and only a few hundred credits at the end of it all.

As for the entertainer/medic comparission, there is one big difference there. Medics can sell stims, woundpacks, enhances and even resources since they have to have harvesters anyway.
What can entertainers sell short of the mindbuff?

I"ll immediately add to that, that the medic profession needs to harvest or buy resources to make medical supplies, while the entertainer only needs an outfit (and to be honest he/she could even entertain without a special outfit)

Being dependent on tips is a really sad situation to find yourself in, for both the entertainer and medic profession, mainly due to the sad sad state of the manners of many players.

Being a master doctor i know mastering that profession, and having the much needed survey skills leaves pathetically little for any fighting skils.
Again i have to agree with adagiogray tho, we as medics will just have to team up with fighter characters and run the normal missions. I find that many groups like to have a medic around for heals, buffs and of course rez.

After all the idea behind the game is to not run the galaxy solo, but to interact and work with other players.

I don't think a Medic mission terminal is the answer.
