Thread: The Perfect Buff?

Greetings to all my fellow Doctors out there. /kowtow
I am always looking to provide the absolute best service to my customers. In that search, I have used many different vendor's buffs, hoping to find the most efficient balance of stat increase and duration. So far, the best I have come across is a boost of 2507 to all but action, which is 2540. All but action last for 3hrs, and action is approximately 3hrs 15 min.
Balance-wise, is that about as good as it gets? Or, are there bigger fish in the see?

I saw someone advertising on the tempest trade forums buffs that were power 911-912 (master doc w/ bivoli would buff for around 2500 with these) and lasted 3h45m.

Improvement to buffs can be made by using Janta Blood, a looted item retrieved from the Janta of Dantooine that you substitute for the Biological Effect Controler (I think). If that is used, the buffs can become quite a bit more powerful. Of course, you can't make crates of these buffs.

But, in my opinion, there really isnt any point paying so much money and spending so much time for thos kinds of buffs. There really doesnt seem to be much advantage between 2000 and 2500, other than geing able to brag about it.
Besides, the whole system will most likely end up getting changed in a month or two with the combat revamp.

In fact, I dont even see a big difference between 1500-2000. Which are the potencies of my buffs. Those buffs enable me, a novice rifleman, to SOLO missions on dantooine wearing only chitin kinetic armor. I dont even have to use one stimpack either.
It seems when a secondary stat hits 1500+ in buff points, that becomes the point where it doesnt matter as long as you wear armor.
I dont PVP though, but I assume its the same considering most PVPers focus on mind damage anyway.
Its amusing to me when people say a 1500pt buff sucks royal ass. But if it enables me, a moderate fighter at best, to solo 11k missions. Its doing something right. If they cant do that themselves with thier composite armor and master swordsman/rifleman, then they need to quit the game.

On Scylla there is a place that is selling buffs, all 6 stats, made from janta blood. Power 997 which equals buffs over 3k per stat for 3.5 hours. Costs me 2 million credits if i want them. But stats over 3k wow.

/agree with Janta blood enhance packs not being worth the effort.
On rare occasion when you get some insane janta blood (picked up some 256/13 from a guildie not too far back), it's kinda fun to make people's eyes bug out when you hit them for 3100+ buffs, but for the most part all of my janta blood currently goes into Janta Poison and Disease cure As. They are great for those 4000 docs, and are unfortunetaly the only use I've found for janta blood to be worth it.

997 only buffs over 3k in a medical city with all the trimmings.
My guildmatesold 1000 sets of 932/30/3.1/89.
I agree, any buff over 1500 is good enough for PvE.

Has anyone tried to get Cure C's down to 55 med use or less? Maybe someone with 12pts??

A 997 power pack doesn't equal a 3k buff. It equals a 2741 buff by a master doc using +25 clothing, +25 bivoli, and a 110 medical rating droid.

nice buffs but would be a waste of credits for PvE 2000 - 2500 are more than enough for anything PvE
