The idea is tobe given the chance to become a Specialized Master Doctor. After Mastering Doctor and spending so much time holding the MasterDoctor title, you chosse between Four specialites to focus your attention on. The specialties should be diverse (while staying balanced), allowing the player to mold their profession into their play style or how they interpet what their character to be. You may only choose one speciality though, thus making theDoctor profession that much diffrent. The purpose is Two-Fold...
- To create a diverse amount of Players within the given profession (Doctor).
- Reward those players that are dedicated to their chossen profession.
Please come to the below link. Examine the current example of your profession, read what others have said about how that profession should be done, and give your input.

Great Idea! I have some great specialty ideas for this type of thing that I think would be most appealing as an elite Doctor professions

Haematology: A doctor who advances beyond a normal doctor's scope of Diseases and poisons. He can cure them in almost any type of being and even help to prevent them for certain periods of time. [A sort of anti-Combat medic {Requires Surgery(Like The Salon for a ID)}]
Pathologist: A doctor who's specialties include examining and treating of Statistics of characters, such as wounds, states, and even enhancement to these peticular attributes, Some of the most advanced Pathologists can even prevent some of these negative effects. [Requires surgery {Like The Salon for a ID}]
Anaesthetics: A doctor who's speciality includes intesive care, such as a player who is clinically dead. He strives to correct the wrongs in the human body and assist in the surgery of other players who require the help of a Pathologist or Haematologist. He also can help in the Nervous system of the body and reduce Incapaciation times or even resist the chance for a player to be Deathblown in one strike. [Such as sniper shot or a powerful creature]
Oncologist: A doctor who chooses this speciality has chosen to lead the life of a craftsmen and assist his fellows in the construction of their needed medicines. They strive to make the best possible medicine and assist in minor surgeries involving poisons or diseases. They also can construct their own poisons and disease to some extent and use them effeciently when the need arises.
[The crafter type of doctor. Can also poison and disease like the Combat Medic, only instead of affecting stats, it can involve Neuro-toxins such as a single or area dizzy, knockdown, posture change {up or down}, blind, stun, intimidate and bleed. Some of the even more powerful ones can be combinations of this and even involve some brand new effects, such as state that unables your ability to attack or inhibits your ability to use certain items, such as meds or spices]

Ithink it will make master doctor look like master medic. Personally,I don't like the idea. With the force sensitivity rearing it's head i don't know if any professions will be worth anything without some FS tweaking anyway. Also it sounds to me like this would only cut competition somewhich usually isn't a good idea.

I don't agree at all. It will not look like master Medic obvuisly because they are two different professions with totally different branches. And I really don't think that we should base our profession on whether or not we geta FS slot. I still think it would be a great idea to add in elite professions for Doctor.

well (dons nerd glasses) wookies have a considerable longer life span then us mere humans. It was written in a great tome of the Star Wars universe that Chewbacca was over 200 years old when he hooked up with Han Solo.
(doff nerd glasses- dons perve glasses) so an 80 year female wookie would well in the prime! lol!

Actually, there is a need if you wish to. Its all about wants and demands and I've talked to a lot of doctors about going beyond. So, if you don't like the idea....Frick off? And don't post here if you don't like it.

I like the idea of having elite master trees, but I think that we will have the ability to do this with the FS coming in Pub 10. As my buff supplier said the other day "when pub 10 comes out I am going tobe the first 14 point doc on the server". I am thinking of augmenting my Master Carb skills with the ranged weapons FS tree.
Check out this site for some cool info on the jedi revamp.

I like these, ideas but I would say it won't be a good idea to have a buff speciallist, because then that'll be just about the only specialty taken.
BTW are you sure you mean Oncologist? that's cancer treatment, pharmacist/apothecary would be a better description for medicine manufacture not sure what would describe someone who makes surgical equipment. (Sorry a pointless and **edit** question I know, just wondering really!)

Oncologist isnt only cancer treatement, its overall medicines of that peticular sort [Thats why I did the poison type thing too]. Also, it isnt a 'buff specialty', its more of a prevention from negative effects more then anything. Like when you clone, a sort of insurance.
