Hello all! I love playing this game and love being a Master Doctor. One thing that I hate is people ripping us Doctors off on materials. We are all a team and should help each other out. I am simply trying to say that people are charging 100 credits per 1 unit of herbavore meat? This is just insane! There are ways of making money but come on! Lets try and be reasonable on the materials and us Docs might buff you for less than 10-12k per. Lets face thefacts here, mostpeople that get buffed have no other way to get by, or simply become dependant. MostDoctors don't make a fraction of the money you give them. Materials are not free by a long shot. GREED will kill your soul!

Unfortunately this game is based on supply and demand. Obviously there are enough rich doctors around paying this price otherwise the people selling it would never sell it and drop the price so they could sell it. My best suggestion is to make some friends and do deals with them for much cheaper, or like myself, just hunt everything yourself...

This game is about grouping with others, and that does include making deals.

Ha, I was just ingame, came across a vendor that was selling good herb meat for 110cpu, didnt even have consistant stacks, different types all over, course I didnt bother with it, then while cruising the bazzar found a great deal of good stuff for 20-30 cpu, quite a bit of it on there as well, I thought, wow what luck, bought every scrap in the galaxy, noticed some stacks of an old spawn of really good avien at 60cpu, had to grab up that as well. As I was sitting there happy with my find, I get a tell from the one who had posted the avien, he had 20k more he was willing to sell, he quoted the price of 50cpu, course I took the deal, I can get over 150 sets off of that(900+ packs), probably make over 13mill off the sales, only spent 1.2mill or so on all that meat, guess good semaritans do exist.

the problem isn't so much the hunters... it's the docs. I see auctions and threads all the time where a doc busts out with some insane offer for a meat. There's a nice avian meat span on yavin 4 right now on flurry, just popped up yesterday and almost imediatly there's a post a doc made offering 300cpu for it.

Have to take two things into consideration here.

One People can make more credits per hour doing jant missions rathing than selling us our avian meats for any less than 100 CPU.

Two it is supply and demand. They have the supply and we have the demand. Just like our enhancements. Pass the cost on to the customers.

I have raised my prices three times since December. I started at 8k, went to 10k now at 12k. Which is about average on my server now. But I can see prices going up. Especially when JTL hits the shelves. How many people are going to be needing buffs? Most people I know will be flying. Our customer base is going to dry up at least until the newness of space has passed. Not going to be seeing many people asking for buffs. And the line buffing docs are going to raise thier prices to try to make up lost business.

Thats my two cents

hunters didn't begin to demand 100cpu+ for meat.. rich doctors offered it. which was stupid of them because now anytime something has moderate->high stats rangers and scouts charge insane amounts.

If materials are most costly, you just jack up your buffpack prices.

Regular docs will pay more to buy buffpacks.

Regular docs will charge more for buffing.

So actually it only increases price for the non-hunter folks without a doc alt.

If you want to gather large amounts of meat (meaning 100-300k avian) you need to pay more or you wont get enough to keep up buffproduction for a few months avian drain....

yes meat prices are outrageous for docs. I will not pay that much for meat.Simple solution,I retain novice scout and hunt myself.

I have it where I am on a hunters list, get notified of any good spawns of meat, then i hunt.I sell half of what I harvest and use remaining amount for my own buff packs. This seems to work for me as I rarely ever sit and public buff. If I can sell 5k of meat for 500k then I don't need to sit and buff. I also mine my own resources as well.

I offered to pay 700cpu for a stack of meat once... But that meat on our server goes for 500-650cpu easily.. It's the best avian meat ever on any server I believe

that's how bad eclipse gets when it comes to pisro

BINGO, you think a Ranger is gonna sell meat that takes hours to collect to the lowest bidder "JUST BECAUSE"??? When you are selling 100k stacks there is a HUGE difference between 50cpu and 100cpu. Just like the real world peeps who are smart and make the most money will often get what they want first. My suggestion to you would be to join a guild, or if you are in a guild organize resource raids to help your docs. Many guilds will look out for their own docs first. No way in the world you can blame rangers and hunters for driving up the price of meat when we don't dictate the price to begin with. Docs make an offer and most rangers are gonna take the highest bid.

I have a character on Valcyn who runs a vendor that specializes in meat (I hear you childish people snickering ). I lean towards favoring the doc community because it's what I know best from my Sunrunner character. This means I stock up on herb and avain meat as much as I can.

The escalating prices of basically everything in the game these days has made me sick. Sure, the overly rich and veteran players can afford everything, but what about a player who started a month ago who cannot raise enough money for a decent weapon? I've begun a personal one-man fight against this inflation by offering my resources at highly discounted prices.

However, I'm no chump. I do realize that the resources I sell - mainly the medic meats - are worth a hell of a lot more than I charge. To counteract this, I usually auction off about 1/3 of whatever meat I collect. From my experience, people will pay a whole lot more in an auction than they would offer straight up (I've seen offers go from 80 cpu tp 400 cpu in less than a day).

The other 2/3 of my collections go on my vendor at EXTREMELY discounted prices. For example - the aforementioned 400 cpu avian meat.... I sold for 40 cpu on my vendor. I send out a newsletter so my dedicated customers know when to expect these deals, and can grab them before the monopolozers do.

I am by no means rich (I've got about 8 mil on a server that I'm sure has at least a couple billionaires), but I have more than enough to get by. I don't need to gouge out every last dime I canby selling my resources at inflated prices.

One last thing.... if you're on Valcyn and you're tired of overpaying, join my newsletter!
