ok so i am sitting in My usual hot spot, the MO on dant. No other doc's on, so i have a line 30-40 min long and i am buffing as fast as i can to get my customers out there. In my haste to buff all these guys i buff a overt Imp. Didnt notice...until a rebel jedi knightrunsup and wastes me and my customer!!! then walks over and db's us!! So i clone and go run back to start buffing again. All my customers are telling this jedi that he is a azz for killing the only doc buffing. So i am like my fault for not noticing a overt. I then look in my email at my bank tips (the order in which i buff) and there he is, the jedi who killed me!!!!! Now wants me to buff him!!!
I ended up doing it, because he did pay..would it have been wrong to keep the money and /emote waves middle finger at you to him? Although it would have felt good!!!

Keeping the money would have been wrong.....but if you didn't want to buff him I don't blame you. But I wouldn't get to upset over it...not like you took any decay for getting DBed.

As a reb I am glad you will never buff an overt again. Your focus on money will only make the rebellion stronger.
There is a War on my friend.
If you dont want to buff overt then go nutral. Then if they are overt you cant buff them.
If your going to pick a side then be willing to take it for the team.
/roleplay off
Come on, you have to admit it made for a more intersting time than just sitting there yelling "buffing for 2.4k, 3+ hrs, 15k. Get in line".
Once a guy killed me and my droid. I told him that killing me was one thing but taking out my doid was something I will not sit for. I buffed up and got overt and hunted his sorry butt down. Later, we laughed about it for a long time. He then became a reb and joined our guild after that moment.
Just shrug it off and move on man. Have fun with it.

I always buff overt Imps, even include it in my 'advertisement'.
I got killed for the first time last night, and I have to say, the outcry from the other players was kinda refreshing, within moments I had a 20 person 'protection' crew standing around me for protection.
I DO buff for both sides, after all, a 'covert' faction member is one who's in 'hiding', right? Theroetically I wouldn't know I'm buffing a potential enemy.
However, if an overt Rebel kills me they immediately go on my 'no buffs ever' list. No hard feelings, no trash talk, (other than the lighthearted in game stuff, 'I was murdered earlier today...',) their cover is now blown.
It DOES make things more interesting, and I have to admit, I enjoy the worry of watching and keeping my eyes open. Makes it feel a little more like there really IS a war going on.
If I was a Rebel I'd do things the same way.
(This is part of the reason I use a Probot as my buffbot, yah, they're useless in combat, but it's kinda nice to see at least a COUPLE of licks get in, since I have zero combat skills at all.)
****
PS. Since my 'boss' is a MBH/MP, she takes the killing of her employee rather seriously.

The fact that you still buffed him, even after he DB'd you and one of your customers, goes to show just how nice Doc are in general. If only more people realized how much we like helping others out--even so much as to die for the cause.

ya know i thought of that. make some real low end buffs that last fot a long time. then buff people who do that kind of stuff with those. Or perhaps having 2 bodyguards stand by me. It's all in good fun though. Hope that joker never needs a rez.

I dont buff overts mainly because I have an expensive droid that someone gave to me when I was still working on Doc, and I dont want it to get destroyed, alsoit hastwo25 cratesof +25 bivoli in it. Another reason would be when I was still neutral an overt imp asked me for a buff and said he would pay 50k for it I told him "no" he said he would protect me with his AT-ST I still said "no", no more than 1 minute later a jedi knight came in beat the snot out of him and his AT-ST. Well thats my story, gave me a good laugh

Question: If your not grouped with your droid, can it still be attacked?
