Thread: Lets raise the price for buffs

I have been thinking of personally raising the prices for my higher end buffs. I think this could open up a new market for Cs and possibly Bs. Not sure if this is going to work, probably not. I think it might be a good idea in the long run seeing as most people can easily affordpaying 1k each or 5k for all 6. I might charge 2.5k for my Ds and keep my current low price for Cs. Most likely someone else will be around to undercut me though. Anyone else have any thoughts.

Shouldn't we just go 1/1 (1cr/per point buffed) Anything under 1k is free?

or around 7k a set?

I charge 1 credit per unit enhanced and I still recieve tons of business. On the higher end "D" level enhancements, that can equate to 11k in buffs. I make people tip after each buff so you dont have to add up. I do not start next buff until payment for last buff was recieved. Easy business.

This also is fair for lower level buffs, as people can not be cheated by this system, i.e. 5k for weak "D" buffs.

But then again, I charge for all medical services.

Well nonetheless, I am increasing. I think I may give my little experiment a try to see what happens.

I charge 10k for a set of 800+ power d's and I have a skill rating of 167. Most people pay it, some complain. Those that gripe are instantly ignored.

I love it when they say there is a standard price lol too funny...

I think the price for buffs is just fine. 6k probably at most. I used to get charged around 8k for 800-900 buffs I was pretty pissed but went along and payed for It I plan charging around 5k per set of buffs and keeping it there. Maybe raise the price for imps

When ppl ask me for buffs I tell them I don't sell buffs and go silent. 30 seconds later they say "Look I'll pay you 10k to buff me please?"

Does the skill rating of 167 mean anything? I understood that anything over 100 medical use was useless, that there was a absolute cap of 100 medical use effecting buffs. Am I wrong?

my results are very consistant with the 125 skill cap.

anyways yesterday i did an order of 5 people then was called to do an order of 2-3 ( i thought it was 3 was 2)

got 6k per person on the 5 and 25k per person on the 2(good tippers) I told everyone i'm in a hurry and only accept 10k . so i enhanced about 2 more people before i went to do the 2 people that payed 25k each. after iw as done with those i did 2 -3 more for my standard 6k . so i made about 114-120k .so avged about 10k per person.

some guy asked me to enhance him while i was enhancing someone else i was messing with him and told him 10k(i usually charge 6k) and he got pissed instead of negotiating saying "i'm not paying 10k for an enhance". suit himself my enhances are 860+ power with 3 hour 15 minutes duration. there are plenty of people that would gladly pay ( i was running out of charges anyways ).

i'm thinking of raising my minimum to 1250 or so per stat. or 7.5 kfor full. and people that don't want to pay don't have to get enhanced i'm busy enough in the limted time i play anyways.

I'm experimenting with the 1-credit-per-point-buffed pricing plan. But to make it a little more reasonable (and so that I don't break someone if I have an especially good run) I set caps. The caps vary depending on where I am, like Coronet is busy so I have the cap there at 10k. Smaller towns where I'm waiting for a shuttle or something I'll cap at 8k. On advanced planets, I cap at 12k or none at all.

yesterday i thought of the same method 1 credit per point or 10k and let the customer decide. on 1 credit per point i'll pass 10k mark most of the time.
