I love being a doctor, I just don't like crafting, had my fill of it in other professions and struggled through the crafting column. Am I alone? I really love everything else about the profession and figured its best to leave the crafting to people who really enjoy that aspect of it.
Are there other's that are the opposite? meaning you love to craft but don't care about treating other players? just a poll of sorts I guess...

As buffs are non longer random, crafting the best enhances packs is all that really interests me in the doctor profession now. I used to love trying to give people the best buffs possible, but now, i guess im just stuck with crafting.

wicked i think you and i are exactly alike. I'm waaaaay to lazy to craft my own meds, and it's a struggle to do it and make it exciting *sigh* I'm also a doctor/heavy swordsman....freaky.

Always craft my own stuff. If I were to buy, I would only go to one of a handfull of Docs on my server

that is kind of funny we picked the same template, just curious where you put your other 17 points, I've been contemplating giving up my scout (just for harvesting) and putting them into CM.

I'm with you. I got SO tired of crafting up the medic/doc trees. I'm SO sick of whiney people on Dathomir or wherever complaining about buffs.
I hand craft enough buffs/stims/packs to fill one backpack and that's it. Every two weeks or so, I return home to restock, then go back out adventuring.
I have no harvesters or factories. I don't hord resources, only have a few K of each adv component resource type in storage. I harvest my own avian meat unless I find it for cheap on a bazaar/vendor.
I don't sell buffs unless I'm asked politely and offered a decent price. I strictly buff myself and my guildmates.
Note - I too am a Master Doctor and a Heavy Swordsman. I put my extra SP into Noivce Scout and Exploration 1 for the terrain negotiation boost. This way I carry a crate of basic camp kits to use as needed, and can harvest small amounts of resources which are enough for my own use. The combo of HS + full buffs + 70%+ kinetic Ubese make me a great tank. I can worry about supporting my guildmates as we hunt. My favorite quote recently was "Wow, you pay more attention to my HAM than I do!"

It takes so much time to scout out resources, expirement for the best comps then mfr the buffs that I decided against it. Not everyone has the time to devote 6 hrs a day to this game.
I buy the packs from two of the best on Sunrunner (Astrid and Songe) and occassionally will buff the public, more often I buff my guildies for free.
To make money, I harvest and sell resources.
Im sure crafting can be considered fun and exciting but the time sink involved is just too high.

LoL, I'm the opposite, I HATE buffing the public.
I sell buffs, love to craft, find it challenging to hit the best numbers.
I'm currently stocking my vendor with 870+ power, 10k + duration, 25 charges per pack buff sets for 120k per set (20k a pack).
I can't keep them in stock.

My experience tells me that you may actually be in"the norm" rather than the exception. When I first started carrying highend doc stuff, including enhance packs, I was very surprised at how many master docs buy my stuff - this is certainly the case for enhance packs.

I used to hate crafting. I actually asked for it to be removed from the profession entirely at one point in beta. But, after a while, it actually started to become fun. Trying to make the 'best' pack or stim with whatever I had available, setting new benchmarks for myself to attempt to beat, etc etc.
And then, after awhile, that got old and I started getting really tired of the crafting again.
I started avoiding it at all possible costs(which was easy, since I had a stockpile of meds I could use).
I seem to shift back and forth on enjoying the crafting and hating it...*shrug*

I prefer to craft my own, but most of my resources are left over from a friend who was doc before me, so I've only harvested some avian meat (with the 0010 in scout I have) and class 4 liquid petro. I'll probably keep it up after his stuff runs out though, just more satisfying to make my own, even if they're not the best. I hardly play 6 hours a day either. The only really time consuming part I've found is trying to get the meats with 0010 in scout, especially with the current avian meat on tarq on naboo.
Anyway,I was thinking the same CM thing, but they need the ranged tree in marksman, which you can't even get all the way up with the 18 left over. I keep mine in scout, 0010 for harvesting, 1000 when I want the terrain negotiation, or Artisan 0001 for when I need to survey for good spots of resources I need. Could always pick up novice entertainer or something just for the hell of it
