Hey fellow Docs. I have been a Master Doc for a month now, but have yet to sell any stims to anyone. Well, I am about to start. My problem is, I have no idea how much to sell for. I currently have 100 stim B's, 35 uses, at 363 power each. How much should I sell each stim for? Any tips on pricing? Thanks everyone for all your help.

the current pricing ive seen for Stim B's is 40 charges 400 base heal 2k a piece... so a crate or 50 for 100k. That seems to be the most advertised price coming from yellers.

Wow

I guess I need to raise my prices. My partner and I are making b'sjust like that and we're only selling them for 1100 a piece Actually only 900, 200 goes to the person that runs our vendor for us. Now that I think about it she did tell me she over heard people say numberous times that the prices on them were cheap. Maybe it's time we bumped them up to 1200, 300. Hmmmm not a bad idea.

So, if 40/400 go for around 2K each, then my 35/363 for maybe 11 or 12 hundred? Not sure I can get 1500 for them. Maybe 1250. I'll try that, see how it goes. Thanks for the idea, guys.

A lot depends on where you sell them and how many you sell at a time. Right now, almost any "advanced" stim B (30/300 mins) will fetch 1500 credits apiece on Dantooine, easily (at least on Tarq). Just insert your server's favorite advanced planet, and try selling stims on the bazaar and/or in person there. Before the last patch, it was Dathomir. Location, location, location. I sell my crates of 50 35/343 for 35k, which is a solid and fair price on my server.

I'm only a "casual" player, so take my comments at face value. Assuming it is a quality Stim-B (i.e. good number of uses and high damage heals), I think the 900 to 1200 range is much to low. If you actuallyrun the numbers and figure outthe money you spend for the materials, you will realize that it is more expensive to produce them then you think. Even if you run your own harvesters, you have to produce a lot of resources to realize cost savings.

But like any business, you shouldn't value your product based on raw materials alone. The cost of labor (i.e. your time spent traveling everywhere to gather resources) should be included too. Don't forget about transportation costs either. Traveling can get expensive.

What am I getting at here? We produce a valuable and often used product. If we make a commitment to sell these on a regular basis to bring in a little spending money, we should be appropriately compensated for it. Don't sell your product for less when it's worth much more. If you see others sell qualitystimsbelow 1,000, be assured they are not making a lot of money off the transaction and they will not be in the business of selling stims very long.

Previous discussions said a good rule of thumb is heal 10 damage for 1 credit. So those 100 stim Bs of 35/363 would sell fo 35*363/10=12,705 individually, or 63,525 for a crate of 50.

I see Docs selling their 35/360 stim Bs for 1300 on the Bazaar, and I shake my head every time.

I sell my 35/354, 35/359 at 1800-1875 each on the Bazaar - on safe planets like Corellia, Naboo, and Tatooine. Each batch of 10-25 stims sells out within 24 hours. On Dathomir and Dantooine, I sell them for 2000-2150. They sell out within the same period of time.

The way I price my stims is simple: (charges x power) / (6 to 7). The divisor I come up with depends on the combined labor-time-credit investment I put into crafting the batch. When I use all Advanced subcomponents, and Herbivore meat is involved (I get around 35/410 then), and I harvested all the resources myself, the price of the final product goes up. I just finished a run of 300 35/409 stim Bs, and they've been easily selling at 2200 on the Bazaar in Corellia, Naboo, Talus, and Tatooine. I'll probably put them up on Dantooine and Dath for 2400.

Think about what you need to do to get a good batch of meds:

(1) Survey for rare resources - on multiple planets.
(2) Place harvesters - pay maintenance and provide power.
(3) Check harvesters - keep track of the resource shifts on each planet.
(4) Upgrade harvesters - upped my personals to BER 4 and mediums to BER 10.
(5) For meats, spend time hunting, until you have enough for a batch.
(6) Pay for all travel expenses.
(7) Plant Factories - I need 3 Food/Chem factories to give me any decent turn-around time - pay maintenance and power.
(8) Do your experiments, make your schematics.
(9) Run the factory batches - do it again for the final product.
(10) Take complete crates, split them, and deliver to Bazaar (25 limit) or Vendor (maybe multiple locations).
(11) Start working on next resource/shift/product batch.

So - for those Docs who don't mind charging rock bottom prices, have fun gents and ladies. Me, I still want to *play* the game, explore, and do things that don't feel so much like *work*. Therefore I will charge higher prices - I'm not going after volume, but somehow I constantly sell out of what I make without much trouble.

Hehe, just my own humble opinion, make of it what you will. Good luck and above all, have fun.

I've almost always kept to the charges*power/10 rule for pricing unless on an advanced planet which is a markup and don't ever have problems selling. There are some bazaars where people are pricing it at 800-900 for advanced Bs at times but since we move around so much for harvesters and checking shifts, I can always find several bazaars that are short on Bs. I know I can get away with higher many times, but feel safe sticking to that price.
