So I was finishing up CM lastweek by buffing everyone in Coronet with 900 buffs. Everyone seemed grateful for the free buffs and some even gave me 10k for the crap. I found the most effective way was to buff at the place where people load in from. So I was just going around buffing people that load in most didn't notice some thanked me. Until I came across this one guy....
Youenchance dude's Quickness by 900
*Dude loads in*
Dude tells you "Please do not do that again"
You reply to Dude "Sorry. You know you can buff over them though"
Dude tells you "Please do not do that again"
You reply to Dude "Okay I get it. Just tellin you that you can buff over them"
Dude tells you "I don't care if I can buff over them. You were using me for EXP."
You reply to Dude "I said I was sorry. Most don't mind free buffs even if they are crappy. You are the first to actually CARE about free buffs.
(tired of writing tell stuff) Dude: I don't care that you gave me free buffs, I care that you are using me for EXP!
Me: Okay okay okay. No need to get angry. I think I apologized 3 times now and you don't seem to care...
Dude: Go find a horse to hump, n00b. Welcome to ignore 101!
I copied that straight from my screenshot. I edited the last line...It had alot more profanity then what I posted there. I see why the guy was mad but I mean sure I was using him for EXP but it's free buffs for 2 hours. What is up with that getting all pissy for that.

Well it depends.. some people get very touchy about ninja buffing..
I can see more in the past where it would piss people off since you could not overwrite..but a 900 buff pack is pretty high and the odds of it being overwritten are lower.. I mean.. the only reason I would be really mad is if I were joining some friends in a couple of hours to do a POI and I couldn't overwrite them..
Kinda like shuttling in and finding someone giving you a foot massage.. I mean.. it does no harm.. but it is kinda gross.. and leaves you with a sickly violated feeling..

I'm not getting into this one again, but you're lucky an ID has to get permission to change you otherwise you could log in and see that you're now some big fat sweaty guy with no hair and a big nose, but he/she was only using you for XP and another ID can overwrite those changes.
You wouldn't be too happy would you?
Don't do it without their permission, would it really take so much longer for them to log in and for you to be curtious and ask? No? Didn't think so.

But it's not like an ID. These go away in a couple hours or if you die.

I don't know what buffs are like on your server but I know before you start selling buffs on my server, your buffs have to be 1800 ("Crappy" according to them) to 2500 ("good" buffs). 900 is easy to buff over. If they couldn't buff over I would be healing tumblers all day lol.

Who cares if they disappear or not, point it you're doin something to their character without their explicit permission, buffs should be consentable just like resurrecting.
I did master doc the way the game should be played ie going out on missions healing my group mates and applying mediocre buffs to those that consented, I never once violated another person. You don't need to do it, so why do it?
Oh I tell a lie for my last box of master doc I buffed my pet/stored and did the same.
My pet, my time, not abusing some poor player before they've even logged into the game

I think he's talking about 900 pwr, which gives roughly a 2400 buff with bivoli, 2200 without...

Oh didn't think of that....I dunno what the power is on my buff but all I know is that it buffed for 900.

I think I only resorted to buffing pets when I needed to regain Doc after I dropped it after listening to some stupid blue box, the first time I did it the old fashioned way, before you could overwrite buffs, slapping a-c enhancements on newbies who were glad to have extra HAM for durni whacking.
I don't quite know why the guy had a bug up his ass about you slapping a buff on him, fair enough you should have asked first, but getting bitchy because you're gaining exp for buffing him is a bit much- should you ask his permission before healing him in the field ?
