I've noticed something concerning. As a doctor I use macros I've created to heal all the different states, in an order I deem necessary. What concerns me is that when the macro gets to the part w/ poison/disease cures, even though I get the message that I am not poisoned or diseased, a charge gets used from my area packs. Before I know it all of my area cures have been used up and I haven't cured any poison or disease on myself or anyone around me.
I even hotkeyed the area packs themselves, and watched as each time I would hit the macro, a charge would get used up. Has anyone else experienced this? Is this intended? Or a bug?

Eww I better check this out. I did not think to check this. I too have a /curepoison and /curedisease in my healing macro and I use it a LOT. Would suck if I been burning through cure charges all this time.

i reccomend keeping it in a backpack hotkeyed and seeing if you can get it to work that way... because it is made not to heal just yourself but also all those around you

Just checked this and verified. It is in fact a bug and we need this fixed ASAP.

I think the problem you are running into is with the Area Cures they probably have the code the Combat Medic stuff has also which means when you issue the command you effectively chuck that Area Cure into a crowd of people (regardless if any need it or not).
It's probably just a difference in how they coded for Area Cures vs. items that effect a specific player.... sounds like they have no way of putting a check to see if the state/poison/disease exists before using a charge on those.

Since it's an area effect medicine, it will use a charge each and every time regardless if you yourself are poisoned/diseased or not.
If it only used a charge when you are poisoned/diseased, then you'd never be able to heal anyone else that was poisoned/diseased if you yourself weren't.

Even if it is not curing a single entity? That is kinda odd.

With our area effect meds, we have to have a valid target in order for it to stick. Be it poison/disease or stim.
For the doctors area cures, since they don't target anyone due to it's point blank nature, once activated it simply goes off and effects anyone in the area. If no one is in the area, then the charge is simply used.
Don't see this as a problem, really. Hotkey the area cures and backpack them.

Well I understand about putting the cures in my backpack and keeping them hotkeyed. But I guess since they introduced these area cures, it no longer makes it effective to keep /curepoison and /curedisease ina macro.
What sucks about not having them ina macro, now I have to take the valuable seconds in combat to discern if someone is diseased or poisoned, then try and remember which hot key I have the appropriate cure hotkeyed to in order to cure them? And I can't keep the /curepoison or /curedisease in my macro to use the regular cures because this system won't make a distinction between area cures and regular cures?
I still don't agree with the area cure usage though....even if I'm not poisioned or diseased, and nobody around me is poisoned or diseased, but I use a macro with /curepoison or /curedisease it will use a charge from my area cure pack....but won't take one from the regular cure pack.

I kept /curedisease and /curepoison in my macro, moved the area cures onto toolbar and in backpack and all is well now. No biggie in retrospect though I wasted a LOT of area packs before I ready our post hehe

If I'm not mistaken....keeping those commands in the macro, and hotkeying them while in your backpack they will still get used....thats what I did a few days ago, and watched my rancor bile enhanced area cures go from 108 charges down to zero

As long as I had them in the backpack they did not get used at all, even when on the toolbar.
