Thread: Unable to BUFF or HEAL faction pets? = ATST

I cant heal my atst anymore or buff its regen stats, that really sucks, i basically have a can of ravioli with lasers... is this permenant or a bug? also the stat buff thing is super f'in annoying , if you die you LOSE YOUR BUFFS AND I CANT REBUFF THEM!! so sorry!

Um...


An ATST is a machine...why should you be able to heal and buff a machine?

I'm ok with you healing your AT-ST as long as you are ok with people bleeding, poisoning, and diseasing your AT-ST. They took away bleeding a long time ago, so this change simply makes it all consistent with the notion that this is a machine.

Then again, it is a machine with a crew. Seems to me that crew could be diseased/poisoned/bled. And the machine part could still be "bled" for stuff like hydraulic fluid.

Of course healing a hydraulic fluid leak sounds like you'd need a DE to make that kind of "stim".

I would assume that standard IMP battle procedure, against non-tribal forces, would be to seal the ports.. preventing any diseases/poisons in.


Basically, anything that could injure the crew would destroy the machine... the crew is not relevant to combat ... as anything big enough to punch a hole in he AT-ST would then kill them too. So, no medicines would be able to get in.. and if you needed any.. it would be too late... it would be cool, that if youy blew up an AT-ST, and then used 2 res packs on the corpse.. you would get 2 ATST-pilot pets .



As for bleeds, Iwould also assume, that all relevant systems would ahve a backup, so shooting 1 hydraulic system, would not even slow down the system affected, forget about the whole AT-ST... doubly forget about making the whole machine degrade in under a min. from that kind of damage.


Could rangers and commandos make "Ewok tree traps?" insta-kill AT-ST killers... What would they do to a single rodian.... "hey look... a bunch of tree trunks!" (squish).

Yeah thats cute, they dont fix the commando dot bug, so my atst can be killed in 45 seconds by a commando with a flame thrower, they are now vulnerable to blasts, my atst always took bleeding damage and i didnt see a fix for dots/bleed on atst, but now i cant heal it? how the hell are you supposed to repair its damage? the people who posted are obviously rebels and would like to see it die, so you can shut the hell up with your snotty comments, this is a game, if it wasnt my atst would be practically invulnerable and doctors would be useless, how can you INSTANTLY heal someones damage? ill tell you how, this is a video game!!


That thing cost me 9450 faction if there is no way to heal its damage then its pretty useless, not just in pvp now!! sweet

Hows about if my atst will take more damage, which i just tested it, did a single lvl 25 mission , remember the atst is combat rated at 125, it took 3k hp dmg, some from a guy with a pocketknife, im glad they are trying to add realizim, it sure makes me feel great! also, since you can recouperate someones damage instantly "oh look you got shot in the face with a high powered laser rifle!, look all better!" but no i cant heal the occupants of a tank like vehicle that have just received a devastating blow from someone with a pocket knife... if healing the occupants isnt possible from outside the vehicle , put me inside of it...

Relax... you may be getting some flippant responses because this is ground that was covered long ago. Originally, the anti-AT-ST strategy was to put a mind bleed on it and run. This was removed over a month ago. Maybe you still get bleeds from NPCs, but riflemen couldn't bleed them. Then flamethrowers showed up and everyone put their AT-STs away for PvP. Even as a rebel, I happen to agree that the 70% heat resistance of the AT-ST should reduce not only the damage from a flamethrower, but also the wounding from a flamethrower. Of course AT-STs have a vulnerability (new) to blast damage, so expect the rocket launchers to come out.


Now we have the new patch which changes 2 things -


1) You can't heal AT-STs. This is consistent with the no bleed/no poison/no disease policy. I'm just saying, that if you want to heal the AT-ST, then I want to drop my mind disease on it. Just realize that mind wounds can't be healed on faction pets. I don't know that most non-Imperial doctors care one way or the other which way this goes, but I do want them to be conistent - either all meds work on AT-STs or no meds work on it.


2) Armor is bugged across the board. This is the real problem right now. Your AT-ST lost 3K HAM because it's armor didn't do squat. This is a bug that will hopefully be fixed soon.

Thanks for the clear and informed awnser man, thats what i was looking for. To be honest i wouldnt care if you could mind bleed my atst, it gets mind bled by npcs which is the only time i use it now. I wont pvp with it since its just a faction hole, and is going to die the first time i run into a rebel commando. I didnt know armor was broken, it never used to take alot of damage from npc's id watch the 3,11,9,7 above its head when they hit for 500 and 600, I knew about the dots bypassing armor and resists bug from my two previous atsts. My question is this... can i get an le repair droid to fix it up? or do i have to make it wait in my datapad for a couple days?

The point is that AT-STs are currently implemented as petstormtroopers with a different graphic and better stats. We have been able to heal and buff them until now. The absurdity of this isn't really relevant to the discussion -- it's how they are implemented in the game, and being unable to heal or buff them is a nerf.

I have an at-st and before the patch a commando did 7k in wounds to its health and now I cant heal its health wounds? thats **edit**ing gay I want my faction points back.
