Thread: New Docs Everywhere Will the market crash?

Well, there are new master docs coming out every day and it seems that they are allstationed atthe starports and cantinas.
Anyone a little worried about the market crashing? I've noticed that the Buff price on Bria has been drifting down. Used to be 15k...then 12k...now 10k?
Anyone seeing the same? Time to start up a Doc Union? LOL.

It sounds to me like it's time to start selling the packs to these doctors.

On starsider, the price has been moving up from 8K to 10K now 12K, and even some 15K..I personally charge 14K during normal times and 30K during peak..hehe

I agree. We should start a doctors Union.
Prices for peak and non-peak hours should be as follows:
Peak hour Prices from 3pm-8pm Eastern Time No less then 20k and no greater then 30k
Non-Peak hour Prices no less then 12k and no Greater then 18k
Those of who think these are fair prices amoungst the doctors put your opinion on this post and we will adjust what needs to be a adjusted and get as many doctors as possible to join our union. We may have to put the prices closer together so they'll be a bit more fair. But just for now this is what they are.

Charge what you want... I'm sticking with my 5k.

Well thats your choice but alot of docs are loosing buisness due to diffrent costs be generated thru out the galaxy

20k for buffs? how do you guys live with yourselves,, you know dang well they dont cost that much to make , not even top of the line ones,,, and cant be to compinsate for all the hard work to become master doc, I went from novice medic to master doc in less the 7 hours. Charging those prices and you guys really wonder why there are so many new docs,, cheaper and easier to just start an alt account and make your own Doc. Personally i never charge any more then 12k and my buffs are 2600+ on all stats anywhere outside a medcenter city ( in which they hit almost 2900).

The normal comment on "what!??! You charge XXX for buffing!?! Outrageous!" notes is: How much do people you buff make during the approximate 3 hrs they are buffed? Even running noob missions they will make a lot more than 20k. Cost of making the pack isn't all - add in cost of foods used during the buffing as well. That said, the main argument for higher prices is the fact that buffee's can make anywhere from 500k-1M PER HOUR _net_ income (ergo 1.5-3M during the buff duration). Try that as a buffing doctor.

Everyone can charge what they want, the people selling for less will run out of buffs faster then they come to you, you can make more money running missions than you can selling buffs and you dont have to deal with people!!
There do seem to be more docs popping up and I am glad that I am in the business of selling buff packs, but what I hate is all the tells of people wanting to know why thiers are not as good as mine!! lol ..... I dont mind helping, but people dont realize I use stuff that is many months old, they decide to become a doc in a day or two and then want to make the same stuff I do.
Doc's will be fine, even if they nerf our buffs, people cannot resist having so many hit points added to thier stats. If you buff for a living, you need to pick up a combat profession, I am a 0003 merchant, master doc, and 0404 in swords and I can take jantas no problem, theres more money in them than there is selling buffs to people, and if you get blood......yay!!!

Bria is flooded with buffpacksuppliers now.. thats why prices go down.. my 2 cents

They don't have to buy them, if a doctor sells to high and there is no demand then he/her goes out of business. If he is still selling then that means someone is willing to buy, it's called a free market and economy.
And it's not just the resources involved it's the players time, I quit frankly don't enjoy sitting their and buffing people anymore, I would rather be hunting or PvPing, so at times I won't buff you if you gave me a 100k.
Everyone is free to charge whatever and thats what is great about it.

I doubt the Market will Crash. There are so many of them already on Gorath, but Master Docs will not sit down to buff if there are already 4 or more docs in Coronet. I really think the only impact that it will have, is on Crafting Doc sales. Those sales will go through the roof.

never asked for a explenation,, just saying anyone who charges that much is whacked,,, sounds more like taking advantage then supplying the demand. If you feel buffing folks is that much of a bother that you feel the need to gouge the market then perhaps you should choose a differant less hassle career and leave the doccing to the peeps who dont mind. Just my opinion
