There is a lot of new information out there, including that we crafting docs may be able to pick up Med BE and still keep our MD and Master Elite Combat Profession.


Does this change anyone's mind about the CU?

Yup I will step in now that I have actually played / tested the CU.


Positive :



  • The changes bring us back the the original intent of the professions...Healing

  • Buffs aren't (hopefully) the "End game" soloution

  • The XP changes have brought us inline and balanced with the rest of the professions

  • With "uber buffs" gone, those that want to be Doctors can be without having to worry about Stereotypes set by the GP

  • We still have consumables to an extend (enhancers), and while we can't directly craft them through our professionthey are still there and will hopefully be worth it.

  • We have a lot of new abilities we didn't have before.

  • Master Doctors will be required in most groups due to Revive @ Master and other abilities


    • Because we no longer need reasources hopefully people will begin to use all of our abilities rather then the "key ones"

  • Those that want to be healers but not spend time and money on resources / pre-crafted items can do so

  • The profession now has a more tactical purpose, and theOld Doctors will be seperated from the New Doctors. (by that I mean you should be able to tell who is still learning.)

  • AFK to Master will be much more difficult discouraging the "bots" from ruining our profession

Negitive :



  • (Issue/bug) Currently we don't get XP for Solo Fighting where as all other professions do.

  • XP is based on your personal level. Novice Medics (new people) will have a hard time leveling

  • AFK is still possible by use of Auto Attack (Set it on a heal) hopefully this will be addressed.

  • We are considered a Combat Class, and due to the level system treated as such, yet we do not get any weapons.

All good points but you don't count toward the final decision because you voted both ways the first day...

Negative.... will miss the game the way i have played for 1year 3months will be canceling my 3 accounts after CU if i wanted to play EQ2 i would have bought it ...

I don't really care, people are gonna like it and hate it. It really doesn't matter how we feel about it SOE is gonna do what they want.

I'm aganst the CU

I like crafting, and makeing my own meds and buffs. I've put alot of money and time into getting those 999 OQ resources and the skilltapes.

Im disapointed that Docs dont make there own meds. I think this is total BS.

Negative.

The overwhelming majority of the changes that have been made, I haven't liked (the combat level, changes to med XP, the new icons and fonts, the new HAM system, no more combat queue, all weapons use same attack and all hit health, "magical" heals, taking away crafting from docs and CMs, limit groups to 8 people)

In my eyes you are somewhat right here MyT_Chicken. This is their game and if they were paying me to play it or it was offered online for free then It would make me feel I had no choice in what they did with it. Like it or leave it. But, I am paying to play this game so I feel they have somewhat of a responsibilty to me as a customer to listen to what I like or dont like with regards to how it is ran. Within reason that is. I know for sure if I were paying someone to build my house I would want to have input on what it was going to look like when it was done.
