Thread: Why dont Docs answer tells ? (rant)
The problem I've always had was I would tell someone, "Sorry, I'm not buffing right now", and they keep sendingme /tells trying to get buffs. I told someone at Bestine that I wasn't buffing, and he sends me a /tell that he'll pay me 10K, well that's what I charge anyway. Like what was said before, if I'm standing by the Ticket Collector and there's 45 seconds until the ship arrives, I'm not going to buff. If you need buffs that bad you're going to have to pay me for the 10 minutes I'm going to have to wait for the next ship.

I turned off my master tag week 3 of the release. I got tired of people hounding me for healing, and now buffs. Buffs take to much time to get GOOD resources for and screw the money at this point. Now if people want buffs I tell them its 25K for the set of 6 buffs. At that cost its worth me to buff a person here and there because its mad money. If they dont want it, thats fine with me because I use the buffs on myself to get FP's.
I fouind that a lot of the people who were doing /tell's and I would come to a hospital or have them come to my office did infact NOT pay for the medical attention. A thank you when I knew they had more money by far then me got old really fast. People also seem to get offended by telling them there is a cost for medical or asking for payment upfront. SO I got tired of the game....
I was wearing Master Medic last night and a guy sent me a tell looking to buy Enhance D's. Maybe he heard about me selling them, though I havent done that for a couple of weeks, I just found it rather funny.
Guess players are getting wise onto our ways.
Still, I suppose we ourselves must treat at least one crafting profession as mud, if not collectively then as individuals. It's very easy to forget their is a player behind every toon.

I don't know.. I get rid of my Master Doctor Tag everytime Iog in. Can't stand the tells. Just ins't worth the time in making the buffsfor the money your paying. So I save it for myself and guild mates.

Now as a note I do answer that I'm not buffing anymore however if I'm on combat the response has to wait. I'm sorry but in my opinion the median quality expectation from the consumer base FAR exceeds what the average Doc can provide quality wise.
Them: "buffing?"
Me: "what"
Them: "ARE YOU BUFFING?"
Me: "sure, I charge 10k for a full set"
Them: "10K?!? they better be good"
Me: /addignore Them
