Thread: THE ULTIMATE BUFFING MACRO!!!!

I hate to repost, but noticed not all the commands are in that list-

I used // to compile that, but Stuff like /load which is used to load aliases from the text files are not present in that list.

As far as commands, some such as synchronizedUiStopListening and the Echo command may seem promising.

Good luck with thinking outside the box... I'd work on cracking the macro, but the box is nice and cozy and i'd rather stay in there.

Also note, the // list lacks all the UI Action commands that are in game, which i'm betting also plays a significant part in the macro for this buffbot.

While I've seen the /ui list many times, I've yet to find a syntax list. Anyone have this, or should we start making our own? (Sitting here in my Advanced Java Programming class working on this instead of my homework :smileysad

Hit me up ingame and we can bounce ideas back and forth. I have a couple ideas of how to parse tips but the lack of /ui syntax is hurting my progress.

I'm calling BS. It has to be some sort of external program that's helping the bot along. Last time I checked, the SWG Macro system didn't have a selection structure (IE what would be needed to determine the tip amount).

Pre-CU Style Game

damicatz - TKM, Master Swordsman, Fencer 0004, Scout 4040

Swift' - Master Armorsmith, Master Merchant, Master Artisian

Both accounts cancelled due to the NGE

This anti-macro loudness has always baffled me. Why do you equate being forced to do the same mundane thing over and over and over as 'playing' the profession?

How does this dude make it bad for YOU to be a Doctor? How does he directly impact YOUR gameplay. He doesnt! You may still play however damn well you choose. This buffer dude in no way forces you to do anything else.

If you want to sit there and mash the same keys over and over like Rain Man and it makes you happy, then go for it.

You guys are on a bender to kill the macro system, and frankly if you succed, you will likley drive the final nail into the SWG coffin as you force everyone in to your playstyle. We hardly have enough players in the game as it is.

You speak of Pandora's Box if this macro spreads, I say that 9/10ths of the players lack the skill understand it let alone make it work for themselves. You would have been better off not commenting on the damn macro at all. By having this public fuss about you have only stirred up interest

Or maybe that was your goal, to try and make the macro spread so you would have a reason for SOE to be forced to nerf macros in response.

I swear some of you act like Luddites to the extreme, which is startling considering the genre for this game.

I see no reason they shouldn't use this to make credits if people are prepared to pay. This is nothing that wasnt done ten fold pre-cu. If the spam gets to you, then you should /addignore and allow people to play their game. Entertainers do the same thing inspiration buffing while /afk. The in game economy is nuts. The typical combat player, of which Docs are a part, either make their money 10K a hit with missions or by selling loot. These guys have found a way to make money by providing a service, the same type of service mind you provided by chef's and BE/Tailors. They just don't have a vendor from which to sell their wares. Again, if people are paying, I see no reason not too.

No, I don't sell buffs or heals. I do them for free, and most of the time "ninja" style.

You know that scene, the one where Marlon Brando did that little hand wave right before he died. Yeah. That was beautiful man.

I wrote this before the NGE, now I feel like Brando

If you do, let me know, I've wanted one of these for a while and have been slowly making my own list, probably start to compile it into a formal list of command syntax and use, etc...

And on a site not:
What does SOE consider a 3rd-party program? Is it a program that moves/clicks the mouse for you or in some other way directly interacts with the game? Or do they include a program that runs, say in the background, but still ends up affecting galaxies? Because I came up with an idea on how to do this, in a roundabout way but it seems like it may be considered against the TOS.

Couple of questions, answer if you wish, not sure how much you want to talk about/give away of what you coded:

1) When you did the /q:add <command>, is there some way to get the args/params in that, some % representation perhaps?

2) If no one has tipped you money, such as on server start up or all clients served, do you need to hang until someone tips you some ammount?

There is no way to do this without a third party program running at the same time. But the game would not have to be hacked because of the following commands.

/load alias.txt

/log

/macro loop

People that keep saying it's a 3rd party program just need to grow up. Just because this person designed something you cannnot understand does not mean it's an exploit. Several people on this server have viewed the macro and can verify it's not a 3rd party program.

Maybe this person knows a little more about programming than you guys in first year C++ and your "Hello World" program. By the way, several correspondants have already verified that its all done with ingame commands. What further proof do you want?

If these people whomsaw the codereally exist, It sounds like they are covering for this person so they don't get banned for using a third party program. You sound very defensive for having done nothing wrong. If he isusinglegitimate game features, and did not reverse engineer the game, then C++ programming knowledgewould beirrelevant.

Ok, i mispoke there. Did not mean to imply that he was using c++. BY programming I meant the use of the ingame macro and alias commands.

There is a way of doing it using only SWG macros and commands, I won't go into it though.

I know the owner of this bot well and there is no third party macro involved. I will not go into how the macro works because I do not want these kinds of bots poping up all over the place. One is bad enough.

Believe me when I say it would take the average, well educated programer, a good long while to understand how it works and even longer to attempt to reproduce it.

Two correspondants verifying its not a 3rd party macro. I think some people just skim the first page and jump to the end of these discussions. Maybe you missed these quotes.

C++ knowledge is irrelevant, as a matter of fact, the more you forget about what you know about "normal" programming the better chance you have of reproducing what I did. The C/C++ reference was an analogy, nothing more.
