I just started Novice Doctor and purchased my first droid last week. I am able to heal my own wounds, but sometimes I'm not able to heal other people's wounds. Am I doing something wrong or could it be just the location, such as being in the cantinia and other buildings?

You cannot heal woundsin a Cantina, only damage.

Not sure if there is any other building with this restriction.

You can't call a droid in a private structure or heal wounds/buff(for example, if you set your house to private) but you can heal wounds and buff and call droids inside ofa PC-owned structure. NPC structures like NPC city cantinas will not let you heal wounds or buff inside of them (says you need to be in a hospital, camp, or near a medical droid).

When folks here are saying they can heal in NPC cantinas/taverns, I think they mean heal damage (i.e. HAM white area) and not healing wounds (i.e. HAM black area). You CAN pretty much heal damage anywhere.

Thanks ...

Just if ur interested .. I got a 110% droid with crafting stations abilities

and some sort of stimpack system ... + 20 Inventory space on it ... quite useful I think

Your stimpack system is probably the thing with 20 inventory space in it - to hold the Stimpack A's. That's not the same as your typical item storage, where the droid cap is storage for 10 items.

I know I posted that a little later on

Sorry if this is a repetitive question, but I didn't see this on the forums. Question: Do you need to be at a certain medical level to qualify to use medical droids? I'm working my way up to Master Medic/Doctor- Can I use a medical droid now or do I have to be a doctor to be able to properly use it?

Thanks for the help!

You can use a droid with medical capabilities as soon as you have novice medic. I am presuming the droids with med-stations installed is what you are talking about right? If yes, than you can use it to heal yourself/others. Just have it grouped.

Not sure I understand what you mean here, but you don't have to be grouped with the droid or the one you heal or buff. You just have to call it and make sure it is charged (use Droid batteries to re-charge it using the droid's radial menu).

Correct. You just have to have medic skills. For certain things, you have to have a droid, anyway. Healing/buffing anywhere but a med center requires a droid, that's your "hospital".

One suggestion, if you craft alot, look for a 'droid that has built in crafting stations, so you don't need to run back to your house or a major city to craft. I use an R2 type droid, has a food/chem crafting station built in and a storage container. I keep my buff packs in there, so they're out of my inventory and easily found. I also have a protocol droid that has all of the crafting stations, but I don't use him much.

Not exactly true. A medic can heal wounds in anybuilding placed by a player (e.g. houses, guild halls, player cantinas, even player city cloning centers and city halls) and in camps. Droids are not needed in any of those places, but they do provide a large healing bonus.

Right......if the building is public, then you can heal in it. I was thinking buffing, more than healing, sorry. Even in a player house, you need a droid to buff. Haven't tried healing myself in my house, though.....I'll do that when I get back online in a month.

No, you don't need a droid to buff in a house either. If you can enter it, you can heal and buff in it, be it private or public.
