Thread: What in God's Name?
1 - first year of economy classes - selling a product for less than it cost you to make is totally forbidden. It includes the price of components, and it's to prevent unfair competition. Granted, that was French economy, so maybe it's different over here, at leastit makessense though (curious of how it works here though if someoneknows for sure).
2 - I won't set up my shop next to someone else because I don't spend my 15 dollars a month to be an ass.
3 - ask docs around how much they enjoy selling buffs, and why they do it - more than 75% of them do it because they need money, not for fun. You have to realize that a lot of docs have no other source of income, but I've said it about 5 times in this thread so I guess you won't listen to it any more this time.
4 - buying buff packs costs 3 to 4k a set, selling buffs under that is a net loss of 1 to 2k if you sell them at 2k. Most docs that make their own buff packs usually have enough money to buy their own resources and won't need to sell buffs to make money, so they most likely won't, and usually not so low either because they realize what a pain it is to make buff packs.
5 - for me anyone that sells buffs for 2k just because he enjoys it is selfish and won't care about hurting the other docs business or not. Whether he does it or not, it's not even my point, it's just a perfect example of the 'I do what I want and don't care about others' attitude that I can't stand. Which is the same attitude than the people setting their shops next to yours with half the prices. For me a game is supposed to be a fun, and people acting this way are just ruining most of it for the others, because all they think of is their own benefit and never care about hurting other people. You think it's perfectly right, I don't, and I don't think it's worth arguing the point any further, to each his own I guess.

You are wrong. Case closed. Your opinion is your opinion, and that can't be wrong, but your reasoning is.
I don't care if most docs buff to make money, that isn't the sole purpose of the profession.
Your single statement you made that wasn't opinion was "you can't sell buffs for 2k and make a profit" and I proved you wrong.
The rest of your arguement is your opinion, and has a weak basis, if any, based on how this games economy works.

Sure they have plenty of sources of income. Pick up a combat class and do missions. Craft and sell meds, etc and so on. They are entitled NOTHING by mastering doctor. No where in the notes of the profession does it state "become a millionaire buffing the public." People's assumptions and the truth are two different things.

I already covered this in an earlier thread. As for the yellow part; my rebuttal proved that you can buy your own resources and craft your own buffs and still make a profit at 2k per set. As for the blue part "most likely" doesn't mean anything, you are assuming a lot of stuff, no facts presented. Also, I enjoy making buffs and don't consider it a pain, its my main enjoyment in the game.

You think it's perfectly right, I don't, and I don't think it's worth arguing the point any further, to each his own I guess. For me, anyone who tells someone else how to play the game in order to maintain a level of profit they see as being "enjoyable" is selfish AND greedy. Why should I care about "hurting another docs business?" I want MY business to be the best, NOT YOURS. If your business is being hurt do something about it instead of crying. You are just like all the "nerf" shouters in this game. Instead of doing something to make yourself better, you want to make everyone else worse, go figure. It isn't a matter of "I do what I want and don't care about others" attitude at all. What do you call YOUR whole arguement? You see fit to belittle and tell people who YOU think are charging too little that they are ruining the profession, but when someone presents not only the facts that you are WRONG about amount of profit to be made but THAT YOU HAVE NO RIGHT TO TELL SOMEONE THEIR PRICES you scream "grief". As for your comment in yellow "if making a certain profit is how your measure your fun level in this game, quit now, as you don't understand this game at all". This game has a player driven economy, and its all to clear that you can't handle that, and that you feel entitled to something. I still don't understand how the doctor selling at 2k RUINED the game for the poster, who made a 500,000 credit profit!? I guess she deserves more than 500,000 credits, good god. As for the part in blue, oh well, what can I say, you are wrong.
