Anyone who calls people "peeps" is truly a master idiot.

My primary character has been a master doctor for many months, and I charge what I wish to charge. Since I don't get any play value out of sitting down giving people enhances, that charge varies depending mostly on my level of inconvenience vice any estimate of how much the enhance cost me or how much I project some person to be able to make using my enhance. If the person doesn't particularly like my price or the level of performance of the enhance, (always stated in advance) then they can go elsewhere. If they're particularly cordial, entertaining, or roleplaying, they might be able to dicker me down, but most often the services are demanded vice requested.

The most I have ever charged someone was 40k I think. If someone annoys me so much as to make me consider charging more, I simply tell them that they're better off seeking another service provider. I always negotiate price and terms before telling anyone where to find me, and stick to the agreement assiduously.

I enhance guildies, the city mayor, and certain other people for free, though they usually pay for the service regardless. I heal and cure states on people I run across for free, and often just sit in medical centers on the off-chance someone will drop by. This behavior is consistent with the personality of the character.

I have had people demand that I hop-to, drop what I'm doing, drive halfway across planet and field enhance them, and swear at me when I turn them down or quote a high price. I have had others demand that I use bivoli or halva(?) after the deal had been negotiated, then swear at me because I refuse, as if somehow their time were more important than mine.

I personally have had such bad experiences with enhancing random people that I fail to see why anyone would want to do that as a primary source of income. As such I almost never wear the Master Doctor tag.

Furthermore I fail to see why anyone would pay the hundreds of CPUs quoted variously for the named resources, and I personally have never paid more than 10, and -that- only because two of three harvesters poofed and left me without the product. Once again if a customer doesn't like the price I charge for the performance they receive (+2100-ish for 3+hrs), they can seek service elsewhere.

a very narrow minded reply there come on think about it if they can afford to PvP and thats what they do it cost tens of millions with CA & AA attachments plus drugs food armour etc so I am sure if they can afford to keep buying this sort of stuff for those prices they can afford 15k or 20k buffs.

Its not price gouging its supply and demand and also as has been mentioned I don't see you bitching about prices AS or WS set for they goods and they make the same or usually far more profit than docs and with less work and overhead expenses and you try hunting without a weapon!! there just as needed profs but get far less bitching but make far more money!!!

15k is payment for the buffs, the food used AND MY TIME SITTING ON MY ASS SERVING THE PUBLIC, I could go do missions and earn more !!! or isn't my time worth and money????

I know I'n RL it is I get paid to spend time doing jobs!! andequipment I need, the product I deal with is supplied and guess what the company I work for charges for the product, and MY TIME SPENT FITTING IT,

If you don't want to pay 15k for buffs fine but don't whine that you can't kill stuff or make money!!

ONCE AGAIN TYPING LIKE THIS ONLY MAKES YOU LOOK CHILDISH. I have nothing else to say other than those precious AA's and CA's rarely if ever get replaced so your debate is a moot point, charge what you want I dont care you look like the greedy doctors that give the rest of us a bad name. Just remember when those AS's and WS's start seeing how much you charge...their prices are next, followed by chefs etc etc etc......

I don't charge for res, I don't charge for heals, and for buffs, though i dont tag myself mdoc anymore, if asked by anyone i have ever buffed, i do it, my price can be quoted thusly, "Tip me what you feel I am worth after I buff ya hun" usually those exact words. I am almost never stiffed. And rearely tipped a crappy tip, the buff nazis get on me here and there but I dont dignify them with a reply to me they are just assinine for presuming to tell me how to play aHELPER profession I love, and one I pay $15 a month to play.....Oh and btw say I am ruining YOUR economy and you become even more assinine in my book....There are private practitioners in r/l who charge $200-300 for an office visit and there are private practitioner in r/l who charge $50-60, the main difference is seen in the wait, want a good doc and don't want to sit in an office for 6 hours, pay more........So this is MY economy too....

Love you all, even when and if you flame me,

My buff ???

10k for 2450 / 2h55 today

10k for 2200 / 2h30 tomorrow

10k for 2700 / 3h00 next week

whatever... it's 10k !

I buy the best performance / price ratio that I can find and I buff with that.

Sometime my cost is at 2000cr/buff, sometimes it's 5000cr/buff, so what ?

Since when a 100% markup is bad business ?

When I get less "fashionable" buff, I have less buff to do and I travel, shop, buff newbies for free whatever I feel like !

When I have great buffs, I end up with long lines in front of me without needing advertisement.

I got LOT'S of regulars customer that are willing to travel to me for their buffs and I treat and consider them as friends and I won't start "milking" them just because you think that your greed is justified by any holier than God Law of MMORPG Economics.

Quote from my toon's bio :

Ibiek is a graduate of the Bothawui Faculty of Medical Arts
and practice according to the Old Republic's Galactic Public Health Act.

  1. Healing services are provided regardless of race, gender or political affiliation.

  2. Buffing services are NOT considered a healing practice and can be refused to individuals or groups without justification.

  3. All healing is free, tips are accepted to cover the cost of supplies.

  4. Buff are subject to a variable fee based on the cost of the required supplies.

  5. Resuscitation services are free if the practician is not put in a dangerous position.
In case of a high risk attempt, fees maybe charged according to the danger
involved. Fees may be charged regardless of the results. Rule number 1 apply
    to resuscitation attempt.

I decided that unless the buffcost skyrocket, I would keep my price at 10k. That's enough money for me to cover the supplies that my pratice require and since I don't have to put children thru college in game and I plan to buy my AV-21 by the end of the week... I live a rich and productive "life".

Just because some people in the game are "rich" doesn't give you the right to rob them !
Just because they have more money doesn't give them more rights than the less fortunates/wealthy.

So buffs are 10k, No line cut, Wounded and diseased first, I work at my own pace, don't rush me, Thank you come again !

Just my way of seeing the profession !
