Just cause of this thread I am going to go out and buff for free at some planet that people would easily pay high for the buffs. All you crying docs that don't like people who cry about buff prices make me sick. Us docs are already in low supply. And you can pretty much charge whatever you want for buffs. People are going to cry if you charge 1cr. I'll prolly get some people complaining about free buffs today. But that is who people are. Be a doc and do your job. If you don't like your job then do something else.

Bro ive done this, and you are 100% right, they wont ONLY complain, but when you spam 'FREE BUFFS FORM A LINE' you will get inundated with tells asking 'whats the power?' and when you say 2150 ( because they are free and you dont wanna use bivoli) they say 'pshhh those buffs suck, no way im tipping for those!'

*gins* dont laugh, its actually happened to me, i said 'free buffs' he said he wasnt gonna tip.

Just a note:

My JOB is what I do to make the 15 bucks a month for a subscription.

How I want to play my Doc character, or "be a doc", in SWG is dictated by me and no one else. No matter how many people cry about how much they know how I should spend my time, money and effort.

Your right! Stop Public Buffing! Hell... why not DROP DOCTOR WHILE YOU'RE AT IT!!!!

Why is it every bloody week someone whines about pricing? If you're unhappy with the situation take off your armour, pack away your weapons and walk around overt while sucking your thumb and holding a banner saying LIFE IS SO UNFAIR.

Pardon me for jumping in, but I don't recall Zulummar ever claiming that a rookie was "as good as" a veteran.

Anyways, that's not necessarily true. I'm a baseball fan, and rookies can (and sometimes are) better than veterans. Take a look at any Rookie of the Year winner and compare him to the last bench player on the worst team.

Raw talent does account for something.

Ok, ill concede on this point, but our debate/discussion was based on intellectually knowing your craft. Not physical prominance. Someone who is 60 years old can rarely outrun a 20 year old. So in essence, a rookie runner can be faster than a veteran runner. But thats not what our conversation was based around.

I never said all docs out public buffing are new...only most

I would guess that 80% or more of the docs that public buff are new docs under 1 month into the profession. Docs seem to cycle pretty fast as people grind. Also docs seem to get burned out after about a month of public buffing. What I have noticed is that most docs dont buff at all till they hit master(which is a shame since you can still get a good buffpack with med use 90 and 2200 stats for cheap) Then when they hit master...they are buffing people non stop at cnet or theed....a few venture out to dant. And that is all they seem to do...after a month or so of that...I can understand why they get burned out. I started buffing public when i was 0/2/4/0. I did that for 1 day and that got me all my medical exp for the rest of doc then I took 1 day and just crafted. I had a macro already set up with 6 crafting tools so i had to click the resources every 4 seconds. after 3 hours(with breaks for my sore wrists and training) I had all 4 crafting boxes on doc filled. After I finally got doc trained...I worked on tk. then I only public buffed when I got sick of non stop killing trying to grind tk.

But some people grind out doc so fast and do not read up on the forums...they do everything from word of mouth...and what they see. I think most of the people that are spamming master doc spam only do it because they see other people doing it...I asked a doc spamming at cnet why he had "master doc buffing etc etc" spam...he told me that master docs have a better chance of giving better buffs. I replied, but you are advertising your stats how can they get better than that. He replied he didnt know but another doc told him that. This is the kind of misinformation that plagues us.

I have had my doc for over 2 months...I dont consider myself a newb...nor do I consider myself a vet. It dosent take much to master doc anymore...I did it in under 3 days of casual playing. I have heard of people doing it faster...no big deal.
