Well, Doctor Harvesting is Issue #5 on our list. I personally don't support it, but that's jsut my personal opinion on it. I think some form of Surveying is far more useful and required. I would also state, however, that Doctors are FAR more in need of harvestable resources than CMs are. The reason is Herbivore and Avian Meats. While CMs use Herbivore to a lesser extent (because they can't use it to the full effect that a Doc can) and Insect Meat which tends to be cheaper.
Beyond which, though, you desire to vote for that ability for CMs belongs on the CM list. It means it's not a Doctor Issue for you, but a CM Issue. So I would suggest bringing it up over there.
BTW, the whole anatomy thing doesn't really fly on having the best ability to harvest resources from an animal. I know hunters who can(and do) run rings around what any surgeon could do in the field any day of the week when dressing a deer or duck or whatever. ![]()

Issues 9,5,1 and 2 are all related. It's crazy, I think, that doctors are one of the poorest classes in the game, especially if we don't actually become resource or medical component or pharmaceutical vendors. And in order to function effectively as a doctor, I need to spend more than 30 skill points on scout and artisan skills, because even if there were people willing to gather and sell me the resources I need to make my medicines, I wouldn't be able to afford them anyway.
Similarly, the benefits of Master Doctor vs. stopping just short of that level (once you have the /revive skill, everything else is really far less important) seem inadequate relative to the work it takes to get there and the lack of benefits you get, especially in terms of the ability to be financially self-sufficient, from having achieved that level.
I vote to have it were you cant heal in any thing other then a med center or with a droid. there is no reason for player med centers in the game. if i can just heal in a house or the cantina, heck a PA hall will do.
