Very well said UEK. Here's one. I was on dant and was negotiating with a scout for some good avian meat that he had for sale, we went back and forth a little on the price for about 700 avian meat. I said, "How's 58k sound" our loud in spatial chat. One guyactually /shouted "58K for a buff!! Are you crazy! Why pay that much!." He then walked up to me and said, "Loser!" I gently informed him that I'm buying meat. The scout called him an idiot.

Please read my post on here entitled "Strike! Strike! Strike!"I think the consensus seems to be that sept. the 6th would be a good day to strike, or, take a vacation from public buffing as some more tender people have put it. We can put our Master Doctor tags up and have a macro reply to the effect of, "Sorry no buffs today, it's Doctor apreciation day. Hug a Doctor near you." I figure one day without buffs and the community will come to realise how they take us for granted. Let me know your thoughts on this.

Funny story about the 58k buff. Some people go crazy.

I think a Doctor Appreciation Day would be great to celebrate accross the servers. I think it would be best not to try to pressure all the docs not to buff, but spreading the word to say thanks to doctors would be a nice thing. And if lots of docs take the day off of buffing too, that's a plus! =)

I have had alot of time to talk to customers and other doctors on the server in game, I'll be honest I have stuck to what I said I would do and I have not buffed, cured etc except for a friend or someone polite.

But through all these posts, mine just count as one of the millions out there thats caused a stir but then silently gone down the forum pages not to be read again.

Instead of being offended by other players rudeness and blatent ignorance I decided:

"Well okay, fair enough they can be as rude and as ignorant as they like but lets face it truth be told you have it in you to be an absolute ******** yourself now lets put that into practice"

==============================================================

My results: (To The Abrupt)

First Incident:

I have gone to Dant Mining Outpost and have waited for all the docs to stop buffing and leave, once they had and a good number of people required buffs I threw up my doctor tag, stood in the middle of them all and buffed myself loud and proud. Obviously spam heaven via spatial and tells, but the greatest part was typing /smile to a few of them, storing my droid and slowly walking away to grab the shuttle

Second Incident:

I was in a solo group when someone when someone asked (wish I remembered this guys namebut for the life of me I cant)

Player: Is anyone a doc here

UEK: Yes

Player: I died, come rez me I'm at WP

UEK: Sure why not, not like I have anything else better to do.

Player: k

UEK: <---Laughing his ass off on this side of the computer

-=UEK arrives on the scene the proud hero and doctor here to save the day=-

-=UEK kills the opposing Jantas easily and loots them to find a lovely stone knife =-

-=UEK goes to the corpse of player=-

UEK: Consent me

Player: ???

UEK: Cosent me to deal with your corpse or I cant ressurect you.

Player: how?

UEK: type /consent UEK

-=Player Consents UEK=-

UEK: ty

-=UEK sits by the corpse of player and waits for him to die before continuing on with Janta missions=-

==============================================================

Now its not all been bad, I have found there to be a few more people acknowledge politely when they need something, so as someone stated maybe it was a case of letting the bad incidents get to me more and not remembering the positive.

UEK, would you mind curing my disease please.

-=Cured=-

UEK, when you have a moment could you teach me a skill please

-=Taught=-

Hi UEK, I am overt and have an hour remaining, would you mind buffing me please, you have my word I will not attack you if you are TEF'd, I will pay you what you ask and protect you until your TEF has gone, you would be helping me out alot, thanks

-=35k and 2500 Buff=-

The best incident and example for me personally though was a player coming to me with disease who asked me very nicely to cure it for him, I did so and he tipped me 5k . I sent him a tell to say there was no need to do that but thankyou it is much abliged . He replied with, "It is not a problem at all, I believe you should always be curtious and show some form of grattitude when someone helps you out, that was mine"

^^^^ That's what I'm talking about, thankyou that man.

==============================================================

Thishas all been done as an experiment and I havehad a lotpositive feedback from it, I've enjoyed screwing the abrupt ones over when it can cost them their life and what I hope was a major decay on their armor.

I have enjoyed being able to have convorsations with players whilst helping them (which I might addwe doctors do not mind doing provided you treat us with the respect we damn well deserve)

==============================================================

Final Thought: (For Now)

I will continue to help the players who've been able to show manners and be curtious / respectful to me when they needed aid, in these scenarios I am more than willing to help people.

However, it has got to be said, I really, no no I mean REALLY loved being an absolute ass to those whose didn't show manners so needless to say I WILL be plodding on with my practical jokes because if anything I find them amusing if no one else does hehe.

Regards,

UEK

P.S Still not buffing to the public

ROFL at UEK, well played! Nice to see you balancing out the thread with some good experiences and I love how your dealing with these rude ingrates who seem to think since we have the ability to cure, buff, heal, it's somehow are duty to serve them. Keep up the good work!
