Good patients, bad patients, whiners, and jerks:

We have all dealt with them and will continues to do so. I started doing medic more to lower my downtime in the field and after spending some time in the Anchorhead tavern/med center, I found I enjoyed it.

Anchorhead is generally nuts..especially during an imp raid. 2 or 3 medics and doctors and about 10 patients on average. And everyone wants their service first so it can be..complicated. I seek to heal everyone I can, regardless of funds and tips, etc.

It seems many people in the game act like it is so distant than IRL. However, many of the same principles exist. Doctors can refuse service to people based on their behavior and past..you get better service when you pay better and are actually nice. Doctors are a service industry, but last time I checked, Doctors generally get paid pretty damned well because they provide a service that people need and cannot provide on their own.

I blacklist and kick people to the curb if they are jerks. I have also found that the one who is typically whines the most about needing healing the most, tips the less. generally means a less immature person who feels the world owes him something.

You just have to not take things personally and realize that these people act this way to everyone not just you..and let Karma take control...after you blacklist them and kick them to the curb. Now that is major karma.

I had a classic jerk encounter today. I went to Fort Tuskan with my regular group for the first time today. After crawling thru the caves and reaching the upper buildings, we cautiously select a MoB to attack who is alone in one of the rooms. We engage, and a few seconds later 2 random people rush in front of us, take aggro, get hammered, and startasking for heals. The "jerk"gets incapped and sends me a tell asking for a heal. I said "when we're done". He starts getting all pissy and wants to be healed NOW! So I told him he rushed in front of our group so I'm not gonna heal him. He "informs" me that medics are supposed to heal! So I tell him meds aren't free, if he wants to be healed it will cost 100cr, and 500cr if I have to revive him. He gets all pissy and started shouting about medics charging for heals. I said "Welcome to ignore".

I do not have the mind capacity, the medicines, or the time to heal every Tom, **edit** and Harry that wanders by! I have my hands full healing 4 PCs and 2 pets. Geebus!

In response to the original post, though you have a valid perspective, there is another way to look at this. Services should be subject to the same market forces as products. If more people are willing to pay for priority medical services, then doctors will begin to make more money. I would think this practice should be encouraged. Everyone will get healed, but market forces determine how quickly.

you sir dont know what your talking about.....first of all that post was made before the patch came out taht dropped teh mishes from around 800-1k cr to about 400-500 cr still its really easy to get kreetle misions 75 m away in the same direction run and shoot the lair then run back to the mission terminal to get more takes a min for each pair of missions add in some random factors 2 min for each pair of missions so thats 10 sets of missions...20 missions at aprox 1k cr before the patch...hmmm 20x1k is equal to 20k in my book but you must be using some type of math that hasnt been used yet cause your a true genius arent you. I dont ask for tips because im not poor i always have over 100k cr on me. That rl drs are a service industry out there to make money is great....but oh wait this isnt rl its a game and im glad to say that ive never had a horror encounter like you guys, ive never had a patient act rudely towards me once. i run out of my way if i see someone about to die to heal them, uses up a stim d that required me to buy a factory but yeah i was nice and healed someone and i really dont care, i dont expect a tip for that, even though most of the time i get a thanks i dontneed a thanks even. I just think everyone talking about black lists and getting back people hahaha i win sorta mentality is kinda sick especially when nothing reallytruelly gets afected in these games...onceagain the keyword game. Oh and i cant stay angry at any one person for more then about 10 seconds. Also i dont clean well so i dont think youd like the job i did but sureid help you clean your place if you needed a hand, but you gotta buy lunch, maybe a pizza...i like mushrooms you?And finally thankfully i did graduate jr high and even highschool, WOW YAY!!, oh and i did take a couple of math courses in high school like oh idk Ap calc bc and linear algebra things like that....thats it im done and i swear not moron..comeone believe me you know you want to

First of all, Spell check is your friend, don't be afraid of it.

I'd like to know, if anyone can please tell me, where is there a mission terminal that has destroy missions 75m away and what gun destroys a lair in one shot?

these things take way too much of my time, the missions terminal is outside anchorhead the onenext to tanks house or shop or whatever that is, my fwg5 takes out a kreetle lair in about 3 shots. Really i swear im an adult legaly...i am but regents english will not be denied....i think only people from ny know about that, i was a math and science person always failed english, i dont bother to spellcheck cause really i cant spell so my checks are worse then what i wrote the first time in most circumstances. Now back to the real point of the post....You should see my handwriting....it borders on, well nm that it is chicken scratch.

No really i just think that you guys are way way way too angry/mean/disgruntled with disgruntled being top one on the list. I heal for free because it doesnt cost that much to heal and i have plenty of cash. I dont even do enchancements so i cant comment on that (so i will ) but thats reasonable to charge for that just cause its above and beyond what we are supposed to do. Woundpacks are cake to make and cheap i have crates upon crates of components backed up from my factory that i havent used yet. Also crafting takes 5 seconds healing takes 20, so if the tip me 25 cr thats fine....1cr per second of my time

Try to degrade my character all you want but that doesnt get around that point that most of you people are jerks (not all there are some people in here that have been truelly stiffed and that sucks) and no wonder your patients are just like you.

Grammar, spelling, punctuation, paragraphs ... It takes practically no effort to hit the "Check Spelling" button they provide on these forums. It likewise takes practically no time to split up your post into a couple of paragraphs when you change subjects. It definitely doesn't take any effort to capitalize the first word of a sentence and put a punctuation mark at the end, not much to add commas here and there either. Just a slight bit of effort will get you a long way to getting people to treat you like an intelligent human being, at least at that point you look like you care about what you're writing about. The way you post it takes reading it 4 or 5 times till I'm sure that I've gotten the basic meaning of what you're saying, that discounts any subtelties of language since that usually requires a bit of punctuation as well. Really, we don't want to be English Nazis about it, but it helps when you can comprehend what someone is writing.

I was in the cantina healing some dancers, my mind wounds, and battle fatigue (with no title over my head). A smuggler comes in with all HAM bars black and I offer to pay him to slice my weapon. He then says ok but it will cost 8K credits because he is 100% in slicing and will NEVER fail. My problem with that is this.... there can never be 100% success at all... because everyone has a chance of critical failure. I explain this to him and he basically tells me to go elsewhere to get my weapon sliced for less then 8k and his time is money.

So I then go back to the med center with my title now activated and start healing people since there were no other medics in town... and guess who walks in. The smuggler who told me to "piss off"!! He asked me if I could heal him and told him that I wanted 20k for healing him. he started ranting about how high my price was to heal him... and gave his words right back to him. "If you don't want to pay me for healing you then you can go off to another city to get healed. My time is money." Then I made sure he saw me heal someone else with minor wounds and even give him stat buffs with my enhance pack Ds.

Well i was gonna comment on how wrong you where but then i checked and in most cases...in every case you where right, so i swallow my pride and admit that there is a check spelling button even though i didnt notice it at first. But, may i ask this if they provide a spelling button why no edit...WHY??? Still all anyone comments about in my posts is how atrocious my grammer/spelling/punctuation is, never about the content of the post. I know you cant read it well i will try my best from now on to type better and more coherently.

Oh and check spelling said you spelt subtelties wrong but thats how i thought you spelt it, so maybe check spelling is wrong.......

I was in a med center today, it was a mad house, many docs and medics, and a flood of cases, it was a trauma center. In walks a fighter, almost all black, he announces I will tip XX credits for a fast heal. Imidiatly I see Docs and Medics droping their current cases and making a mad dash to this guy.

I speak up: "This is a medical center, not a wal-mart, you will have to wait just like every one else did" I was too late, many medics and docs were already attending him. he badicly tells me that because we are poor and he isn't he can make us do back-flips for nickles. of course he dosn't say this so everyone can hear. Now, I may be poor, but I have standards, and I think they are right, I heal on who comes in first, no matter how much they beg, ask, or bribe. I think it makes our proffession look cheap when stuff like this happens, Doctor is one of the few elite professions, and we are important to the community.

I get frustrated, so I finish my case, and decide to do some healings out in the street, (I advertise with my healing droid) a CH comes up to me, dosn't say a word, pulls out some kind of pet, and I presume that he wants it healed, so I start healing it. Then he says while Im healing it "heal me (insert generic insult here) before my animal, **edit** it!" I went, out of my way, out of the med center, of my own free will to go into the street, and heal people, and this is what I get? Why do I get the impression that us healers are considered second class citizens?

maybe Im just having a bad day, or maybe healers take too much crap because we need the money.
