Why did I become a doc....... Hmmmmm

rather simple really as a master CH I took up medic to keep my companion at top condition, then the rave of Doc buffs came around, while it is not my main reason for wanting doctor it is a contibuting factor that I want to make some Credits.

I like the fact that as you progress up the tree you can heal all sorts of ailments and even revive.... now If I could do that while I'm grouped with people that would Rock...but for the longest time I put off going doctor and watched as my group mates took an express ride to the Cloning facility.

Now because of the stagnancy of maxed professions I'm treading water in the sea of confusion looking for the correct ship to sail on... hopefully doctor is it.

I always play Medic/Cleric characters in games, I must just be a glutton for punishment I guess.

I love the Doc profession though, it's got a fair amount of variety to it and when you still have enough skillpoints free to master an elite combat profession it makes for a pretty well rounded character - the thing I hate about most other games is that if you play a medic you have to forgo combat, just try an get into combat as a cleric in EQ, you'll be kicked out of the group faster than you can say 'meditate'

To be honest, I started SWG about a week after it came out, I never was a beta tester, I came off EQ as a level 65 ranger. I went to Ahazi, even though I live in NY but work nights (Euro gaming hours), as some of my EQ buddies were there and helped me out. Not knowing anything, I got to Master Medic for the healing power, and one day decided to become a Master Doctor just for the hell of it. It turns out I am good at it, good enough that many on Ahazi consider me the best on the server. I tried a few other professions, and I am now a Master Rifleman. With all my points migrated to mind, and some brandy/canapes/muon and the occasional mind buff, I am ready to take down almost any opponent.

ill de a doc till the jedi revamp then im going cm. If what i forsee is true than i will have to do the quests solo, the smartes way to do so is to be able to heal well, and deliver major damage, if i can deliver multiple damages at once, poison/diseas/attack then i believe i will have more of a chance rather than only attacking with a combat pro or 2, therefore having cm anda combat pro is a wise choice hehe
