Not sure if y'all actually READ and UNDERSTOOD what he said....

Basically, buff numbers are changing, but everything else is changing too, so he really has no idea what the "New And Improved Buffs" will be like.

And neither do we. So there's no point in arguing about it.

Both need to get nerf´ed together with changes in the HAM system, so actions dont cost

H A M-points anymore. Where except Rancorhunting you see groups other than Sologroups?

Places like Dathomir should need groups just to survive a trip there.

Armour Protects too much, when combined with buffs,. And the Incresed regeneration rats

from a +2K Buff saves easily any hits that get through. It´s fine thae they just down-adjust

the whole powerlevel a bit. i guess a buffcap of +200 to +500 is fine. it helps with regeneration,

and a few hits more, but it does not turn you into a god.

Also the 2K+ buffs make useless any encumbrance and special costs.

So its time for the Combat Balance.....

My idea that I have been toying with for the past month (although no devs would ever listen to me), would even things out a little bit, yet still have armor and buffs be needed and beneficial.

First, armor needs to be slightly nerfed. Not too bad so it's a waste to wear it, but come on.... 80 and 90% resists? Why not just make an invincibility loot item? So, taking the resists down a notch would help. Now, I think encumberance should be changed from a flat number to a percentage of the player's HAM.

For example, let's say an armor set has 20% health encumberance. A player with 600 health would be reduced to 480, while a buffed player with 2000 health would be reduced to 1600. The buffed player still has higher HAM, but he also loses more HAM from the armor than the unbuffed player does. Actually, if you do the nerd math like I did, the HAMs increase and decrease proportionately.

What would this do? Well, first, it would allow players without buffs to wear stronger armor, yet they would still be walking around with dangerously low HAM bars. Buffs would still be in demand and considered an advantage, but they would cause a higher penalty when wearing armor. Armor would also be effective, in order to avoid leaving armorsmiths out in the cold.

Unfortunately, this post is a huge waste of my time and typing muscles. The devs have already made up their mind to nerf docs, so there's really no use debating the issue.

I want docs in the field of battle to be used (other than the "WE NEED REZZING!" shout.). Though Combat medics are great in PVE and PVP for healing.

As i said in a different post i could heal 30m from myself, 35m raduis, with a thing what had a stat of 800+ healing, so actually healed everyone in a 35m from center area for 1200+ damage all the time.

Though i also used to wonder why combat medics didnt do the buffing, as buffing is more about combat than anything else.... though CMs become useless with a buffed group of elites, as they never get hurt. (i got a master fencer with 2-0-0-3 TKA on infinity and i went into Death Watch Bunker in my Ubese Chest and the rest energy or kenetic comp [works best to have a mix as i said in a different post as they you get both protections cos of the stupidity of the way armour works] and i caused more damage to myself than anything in their could, and i think the lowest i got to was 400 off my health bar, and i never had to heal.)

Though i guess we get fire blankets now.... so long as we can get someone to make em for us, and they are only useful in PVP.....

*wonders why no NPC uses a Flamethrower, Rocket launcher, T21, Scatter Pistol, Partical Beam Rifle, Acid Rifle, Light Lightning Cannon... ... ... ... ...*

Thranslation:

We pushed this game live WAYYYYYYYYYY too fast. we did not do near enough beta testing, as evidenced by the fact that combat has to be striped down and completely rebuilt.
Professions need to be striped down and completely rebuilt.

Instead of a few hundred beta testors they should have done a few thousand, they stoped beta testing at the point of the game that the society reached in mid october. I say this because that is when everything started becomming imbalanced. CH's were too powerful, Defense stacking, 90% armor started showing up soon after, buffs came into the mainstream about Jan.

Another 6 months of beta would have done wonders for this game. Now it's 1 year later, the combat revamp "sandbox" is 2+ months away, which meant the revamp can be over 6 months away.

Grats so can we get a few months free or a refund for doing 1+ years of beta testing for you and paying for it
